The all new Corrie thread NO SPOILERS PLEASE!

I remember in th'olden days when there were no spoilers. The nation had no idea whether Deidre would choose to stay with Ken or do a runner with Mike Baldwin until it was actually broadcast. And we didn't know who shot JR.

So for those of us with no life who enjoy Corrie without spoilers, a new thread discuss our beloved soap with all its flaws Grin

Because of Britain's Got Talent I think - that's hogging 7.30-9pm all week so no double Corrie episodes Monday or Friday.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 10/05/2012 23:36

Yes, Lisa had left Terry and moved in with Des when she got run over and died. Jack and Vera tried to look after Tommy but couldn't manage, then Terry sold him to Lisa's parents in Blackpool.

Sunita should never have come back, I quite like her a lot of the time (not right now) but she should never have gone back to Dev, he's such a creep. When she first appeared she was obviously so in love with him, even though she nearly married whatsisname, Irish bloke, but they have never recaptured the chemistry, he just smarms away and she simpers, no real chemistry with Carl either, it seems very phoney. She could do a lot better than either of them.

LineRunner · 11/05/2012 11:51

That's nice, isn't it, in the middle of one of the classic family shows of the year, we have to endure the sight that is the 'quickie aftermath' of Carl and Sunita.

Note to producers: this is vomit.

PoorAudreyHorseface · 11/05/2012 12:47

I think we need to form a MN delegation to march on Granada Studios and hold the producers hostage until they listen to us! Oops - that sounds like a Corrie plot line in the making Grin

KenDoddsDadsDog · 11/05/2012 12:56

Carl is such a darts player type.
I'm up for the march. Can we get them to reopen the Granada tour too?

LineRunner · 11/05/2012 14:04

I've seen better plots on Balamory.

LineRunner · 11/05/2012 14:05

Oh and don't get me going on that bloody 'storyline' about the loan shark.

iloveACK · 11/05/2012 14:07

I'm with PoorAudrey - Granada needs to be visited & made to see the error of their ways! I'm in Grin

The Terry storyline has rapidly descended into farce. As for Sunita "Are you in?" bleurrghh.

Paul and Lesley need to go too. Unfortunately, Lesley is the better acted, more interesting character out of the pair of them, but no feasible way of keeping her in the story without the dreadful Paul.

LineRunner · 11/05/2012 14:37

Did Sunita say 'Are you in?' to Carl??

squoosh · 11/05/2012 14:44

Paul and Lesley - boring, boring, boring.

Carl and Sunita - don't buy it. Although how the hell has the actor who plays Dev still in it????? Creepy and irritating in equal doses.

LeeCoakley · 11/05/2012 17:11

Bloody hate Paul but I want Eileen to be happy for once. If she can be happy with a twerp like him then I'm all for it. Does Lesley die this week or did I imagine that?

whatkungfuthat · 11/05/2012 17:43

How did Sophie not hear Carl clattering down the stairs after the quickie? The flat is supposed to be empty after all.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 11/05/2012 19:34

This Lesley / Eileen storyline is awful.

FriskyMare · 11/05/2012 19:50

Can the producers/scriptwriters please tell Terry that Tyrone is pronounced Tie-rone not Ti(letter sound)-rone. Drives me nuts :o

FriskyMare · 11/05/2012 20:01

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure nail varnish is removed from a patient, especially one who is unconcious? Tina's nails were a lovely colour though...

whenskiesaregrey · 11/05/2012 20:39

Paramedic: Sorry there's nothing more we can do. She's dead.

Actual LOL from me and DH at the sympathy there!

SwedishEdith · 11/05/2012 20:55

Does Sunita get killed off as well?

BonnieBumble · 11/05/2012 21:12

The Julie storyline isn't as unrealistic as it sounds. When ovarian cancer is suspected they do act pretty quickly. I know someone who was operated on within 24 hours (tumour removed), with chemo starting a couple of days later. I also know a school gate mum who told us before February half term that she was concerned as she had been experiencing abdominal pain and her GP was referring her. Back at school after February half term and her dh was doing the school run as she was recovering from a hysterectomy.

LeeCoakley · 11/05/2012 21:14

I'm half an hour behind so not completely up to date yet. Just watched Sunita who a naturally beautiful lady but come-to-bed eyes and innuendoes are not HER! BAD scripting!!

SwedishEdith · 11/05/2012 21:32

Do you think Paul and Eileen will still be able to go to Cyprus now?

Paul will blame her and things will never be the same between them I bet.

LineRunner · 11/05/2012 21:51

Paul - not acting the words well. Horrid.
