I remember in th'olden days when there were no spoilers. The nation had no idea whether Deidre would choose to stay with Ken or do a runner with Mike Baldwin until it was actually broadcast. And we didn't know who shot JR.

So for those of us with no life who enjoy Corrie without spoilers, a new thread discuss our beloved soap with all its flaws

Bit worried about the Kirsty thing. You know what happens to the 'evil' characters - they usually end up dead. Do hope they resolve this storyline differently.

I don't really understand why Tyrone can't be honest about fighting dirty with her and just insist on the DNA test to get his name on the birth certificate

Muriel but that would be too simple for Corrie! He should have just gone to the police, he has loads of people to back up his story now! Also loved Fizz's hotline to her lawyer - bit of free legal advice there from her criminal lawyer who conveniently used to be a family lawyer

(I fear having a lawyer husband is currently ruining my viewing of Corrie! Don't know if it's more painful for him watching it with all the legal irregularities or for me watching it with him and his disparaging commentaries!)

BUT ajandjjmum Terry Duckworth wasn't a psychopath - he was just corrupt, unscrupulous and selfish.
Anyone who does any kind of psychological damage to other characters ends up dead...

I think I know where this is going... Kirsty, at some point, is going to have to lash out at someone other than Tyrone. My money's on Fizz. Don't think they'll involve the police but Kirsty will leave and everyone in street lives happily ever after until....she returns at some future date after Fizz and Tyrone are happily married and Hope and Ruby are best mate teenage sisters, or something.

As long as she leaves until they are teenagers, then at least we can have a bit of a break! The writers couldn't possibly let Tyrone lose another child.

And they can't do the breast cancer story so soon after Sally.

Actually, re Kirsty....have we had a suicide on the street ever/recently? Wondered if she might take an overdose because she feels she'll never control her temper, or run close to harming Ruby?

theliverpoolone It was Natasha, blonde hairdresser, faked a pregnancy to try and keep Nick, then overdosed when he dumped her anyway.

What happened with Maria and Marcus tonight?

Marcus and Maria had a snog after returning from her hospital visit. I think it was instigated by her, but he responded like he was loving it. Then someone came to the door (cannot remember who) and they jumped apart. They then went to Eileen's birthday party; Maria with Jason and Marcus with that strange looking bloke he's with who's name I cannot recall.

Cue lots of lingering eye contact between Marcus and Maria at various times. Marcus went and drank loads and announced he was leaving party to go down canal street gay bars with Mr Weird Face.

Maria told Jason he could move in (knee-jerk reaction?)

All very weird.

Who the hell was watching Maria's child when Maria, Marcus, Kirk and Jason were all at Eileen's party? Another conveniently vanishing soap child .

another one gone to the boarding creche. Amy seems to have conveniently disappeared too so Tracey can do as she pleases with Ryan.
