I had intermittent monitoring standing up

I haven't had a baby before but when I do I hope to have a home birth, it looks like people go in to hospital hours before they're actually in labour- am I wrong?

I like fostered girl's mum. She's gone a bit mad with the kohl but she seems lovely.

I love it as much as the other two series, but I am near Leeds do that gives me the local interest factor....

I read on another thread that each couple is paid in the region of £10k to appear on OBEM - does anyone know if this is true?

I had 3 babies at this hospital and to be honest the midwives and the care were fantastic. I gave birth to my daughter on TV and was filmed at the Clarendon Wing right through, although not with fixed cameras - 2 crew were in with us.

TinofTigerFood - it depends, and really I think most people go in when they reach the extent of their pain threshold. With my DC1 he was born about 2 hours after I came in.

oh, and there was definitely no payment - I doubt that they've paid them to be on tbh

Unfortunately you can't always be monitored in a chair/ball. I had a rocking chair for a few hours, which was great as I was induced and monitored so strapped up to all sorts. Had to move to the bed coz the little bugger was wriggling away from the monitor! Made loads of trips the loo just for an excuse to get up lol... Drip and all!
