Just watched part 2 of Homeland shown on Channel 4 last night.

Fantastic drama with an excellent script, superb acting and lots of twists and turns.

Has he been brainwashed????

I like Saul too - he's lovely.

ScoopThePoop · 01/05/2012 13:42

Let's hope it's not a stupid, anti-climax.

whydoesitalwaysrainonme · 01/05/2012 16:23

The hands were the ones at the start of this week's episode - making the bomb vest. After my post we saw they were the guy in the workshop who gave the vest to Brody so mystery solved.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 01/05/2012 17:10

Thanks, whydoesit!

diddl · 02/05/2012 20:53

Roll on Sunday!

ellaleven · 02/05/2012 21:31

I saw Damien Lewis this afternoon waiting to get his hair cut in a salon in Kentish Town. I was so close to going up to him and asking what happens on Sunday. I wish I had now. I cannot wait!!

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 03/05/2012 07:10

Oh Ella f it were me I'd have been really starstruck Envy think I'd probably try to talk to him and end up making a complete arse of myself.

He was v funny on have I got news fr you last week, although I don't find him as attractive with London accent it makes him sound a bit pompous IMO (not that London accent is pompous just on some people IYSWIM)

Robotcornysilk · 03/05/2012 08:44

you should have ran in and collected the trimmings!

squeaver · 03/05/2012 18:26

That's not a London accent, Edward, that's an Eton accent.

I once saw him in Camden carrying an Argos bag. As you do, when you're a Hollywood A-lister.

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 03/05/2012 21:26

I thought Eton was in London but then I'm scottish so don't know areas/accents well down south and a bit dim with geography

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 03/05/2012 21:28

Or was that sarcasm as Eton is v v posh school? even more stupid crawls under rock Blush

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 04/05/2012 12:23

Eton's in the Home Counties somewhere. Id guess squeaver meant that he has a public-school accent rather than a London one per se.

Clearly it doesn't stop him carrying an Argos bag around though. Grin

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 04/05/2012 13:08

Grin @ the Argos bag!

Pelicano · 04/05/2012 20:59

I saw the Temple Grandin film a couple of weeks ago completely randomly very late at night.
Clare danes was pretty amazing, but i was quite surprised to see Julia Ormond as her MUM!!!

Pelicano · 04/05/2012 21:00

That post was for Brightness BTW.

HalleLouja · 04/05/2012 22:04

Mrs Brody is in the Good Wife I am watching on V+. I love GW too.

EightToSixer · 05/05/2012 11:22

O excited for tomorrow! My personal theory having seen the trailer only, is that Brody wimps out of blowing up the VP and that's why whatshisname the sniper is on the roof. They expected Brody to wimp out and know that if he does, they can shoot him and the vest will still explode (bear in mind I know zero about bomb engineering! So this may not even be possible!)
Damn excited though!

diddl · 05/05/2012 12:38

Does anyone find it far fetched that he is prepared to do this for "Issa"?

OK, he loved the boy & wants to kill the people who killed him-is that just the VP & David?

But is also OK with the aftermath for his own family?

iloveACK · 05/05/2012 12:45

Agreed Diddl - I've been complaining to my DH all along that the back story doesn't seem strong enough to have turned him given the consequences for his own family & how did the turn Walker?
(disclaimer: I've no idea what being a pow does to someone though!)

Brill series though - really love it & am gutted we're out tomorrow night so won't see the episode live (how sad is that Grin)

diddl · 05/05/2012 12:57

I suspect it´ll be the thought of his children that will stop him going ahead.

Also, would being in politics himself & ruining their careers/lives by exposing the "collateral damage" that they considered acceptable be a better revenge?

diddl · 05/05/2012 14:49

Did we find out how Walker knew that the meeting was a set up?

(When the briefcase bomb went off)

ihatethecold · 05/05/2012 14:53

me and Dh cant wait for sundays episode... best thing on telly!
i will be gutted if DL really is a baddy

iloveACK · 05/05/2012 15:39

No Diddl, so I'm hoping Sunday night will reveal whether Brody is good or bad (I'm still going for good) & who the mole in the CIA is!

whydoesitalwaysrainonme · 05/05/2012 15:58

Given Brody is in the next series, surely it means either he is good, or he's a baddy but fails to carry out his mission, or chooses not to for now and therefore manages to hide it from the authorities. Otherwise he'd get locked up or blow himself up no?

diddl · 05/05/2012 16:36

I´m thinking baddy who doesn´t go through with it.
