Yes, not withstanding the murderous tendencies. I think perhaps need to see more of his muscles! Smile

mousymouseprice · 04/02/2012 22:29

I only now realised that kasper was one of the nekkid soldiers in KII

teejwood · 04/02/2012 23:05

anyone else shedding a little tear for the complete fuck up Birgitte's life now is?

the her in ep 1 would never have accepted that BS from Philip!!! she had too much integrity.
this needs to be her nadir and she needs to kick ass in series 2.
btw - series 2 in the winter? but is snowing outside noooooooooowwwwww
Sad

DaisySteiner · 04/02/2012 23:09

smugmumofboys · 04/02/2012 23:11

Nooooo! That can't be it until next sodding winter. I demand Scandi drama on a Saturday night. That's what I pay my licence fee for godammit.

Miomio · 04/02/2012 23:12

wasnt such a good dh after all...

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 04/02/2012 23:14

The bridge is coming soon, but that was a ridiculous series end, I demand my Hollywood ending!!!

mousymouseprice · 04/02/2012 23:21

sobs here too, so heartbraking.
politics suck.

mousymouseprice · 04/02/2012 23:22

I was hoping she steps down and appoints serjø as interim prime.

redroof · 04/02/2012 23:33

Teej - Yes. A little tear shed here. I kinda guessed this would happen from the start.
Looking forward to S2, Forbrydelsen 3(especially!) and The Bridge, during the meantime we'll be digging out the Wallander box sets!
Bye för nu.

teejwood · 04/02/2012 23:58

tak everyone for your company on the thread. strangely even fewer people in RL seem to have watched this than TK1!!!

agree redroof and smugmum and seashells - we need The Bridge to start next week!!!
not that we're obsessed.
oh no... Hmm

Talk på det, alle sammen! (sorry, can only do Norwegian, not Danish)

Guardian Borgen blogg

no spoilers, but s2 got good reviews!

I'm just going to have to finish my Jo Nesbø book instead to get my Nordic kick!

It was good, but I'm gutted there was no resolution at all. But I guess they have set up S2 to be a prolonged "will they won't they" regarding Phillip and Birgitte, and kasper/katrine for that matter! Poor Sanne :)

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 05/02/2012 07:13

Sorry, Dyac changed Takk to talk! (Norwegian=two K)

I must not buy this I must not buy this I must not buy this Grin

LaVolcan · 05/02/2012 09:01

Poor Sanne? Well, what Birgitte should do is ask her to come and look after the children, and then she and Phillip would have time to be together again.

MrsCampbellBlack · 05/02/2012 15:19

Oh I loathe Phillip - bloody whinger. Didn't it occur to him that perhaps the company were so keen to have him not just because he was such a brilliant businessman but also because he was married to the PM. Also he accepted that job without even discussing it and it went against what they'd agreed so struggled to have much sympathy with him even before he shagged a convenient woman.

And poor Bent - hope he's back in a different role in the next series.

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 05/02/2012 15:37

I read a review for series 2 DVD on amazon and they said Philip's character was not in it so much, so may be the divorce does go through?

vjg13 · 05/02/2012 16:44

I found the lack of nanny/au pair/tame grandparent a bit ridiculous and even if they had had a string of his students babysitting it would have been more realistic.

Still very Sad that it has finished. Has anyone tried Spiral yet?

DaisySteiner · 05/02/2012 16:56

I watched a couple of series of Spiral. It's OK, but not a patch on The Killing/Borgen/Wallander.

culturemulcher · 05/02/2012 16:56

Been feeling grumpy - now I know why. No more Borgen, no more Wallander, Killing 3 not for forever. Grump. Grump. Grump. When's The Bridge starting again?

What are we going to doooooo?

vjg yup - they did discuss having a nanny, didn't they, a few eps ago, but decided they couldn't do that. Silly people.

Spiral's okay. A bit more hard-edged and gritty. Good once you get settled in, but I didn't find it anywhere near as grippy as the scandi ones. ... I lived in Paris for a few years, miss it like crazy, so watch just about anything set there... but still couldn't get quite as hooked.

MrsCampbellBlack · 05/02/2012 17:49

Oh Spiral is brilliant but very gritty indeed. And apparently not that unrealistic in terms of the French police which I found rather alarming.

Next thing I'm looking forward to is Homelands - ok its American but sounds promising.

carabos · 05/02/2012 18:51

Some questions for fellow Borgen lovers:
Do they live in an apartment? The house looks huge from outside but a bit squashed inside with all the rooms seeming to
open off the kitchen apart from Laura's room which appears to be upstairs.
What happened to Katrine after ep 8? Is she pregnant do you think - suddenly ballooned and changed hair colour.
Why is Theis Birk Larsen the Defence Minister and when did Meyer become a journalist? Are there only 6 actors in Denmark? Grin

mousymouseafraidofdogs · 05/02/2012 19:55

don't forget kasper is grüner from tkII (one of the nekkid soldiers in the shower room.

mousymouseafraidofdogs · 05/02/2012 19:57

looks like a housr to me, they do some gardening as well. but some of these villas have quite a bit attic space and maybe only 2 or 3 bedrooms + bathroom upstairs converted.

joanofarchitrave · 05/02/2012 20:58

Tak for nu - I'm practising using that instead of See you later.
Also Precis.
