Can I just say I heart this - great story, great writing, and meyer and strange from the killing I and II - what's not to like?!

My dentist is Danish. I would too.......

Saturday BBC 4, 2 episodes per Saturday, starting at 9pm. It's usually repeated later in the week. I think the Killing used to be repeated on a Wed or Thurs.

Tell me about these flasks then, what does one do exactly? Make a pot of coffee and pour it into the flask?

I need new glasses and may have to go for a Danish look. They all look so good in glasses.

Aapparently there is another drama that's highly acclaimed called The Bridge. It's a crime drama and a Swedish/Danish collaboration. A body is found on that bridge. Not sure if/when it will be shown here though.

Oh yessss! It's filling the Killing hole nicely. And Strange and Mayer and gorgeous lights.

Great roles for women in these Danish series too. As you've all said - what's not to love?

Watching it tonight on iplayer and can't wait! Good to hear it is a fabulous as I want it to be...and I still have the first series of the killing to watch once this series is finished :)

Flasks-contain very black, strong filter coffee made in the morning. Dh got one for tea and one from coffee from amazon. Makes for a serious caffeine addiction though!!

Oh I'm glad there's a thread about this - DH was raving about it and I'm just watching now Fabulous. Really helps having the unisex toilets so that the basin talk doesn't have to be split by gender.

DH and I were remarking that it is amazing that such a small county can make such good TV! Scotland and Denmark have similar size populations and no way could we do it this well!! The parliament seems so much more professional than ours too! Me thinks we have a lot to learn!

It must be the language, I started to learn Danish once and gave up in disarray after 12 hours. If you can speak that, you can do anything.

I'm loving this too - only seen episode 1 so far, but it's making me desperate to go to Denmark for a short break. I also have middle-aged-Danish-man lust...

Laughing as I know a few people involved in Scottish politics - Denmark seems so much more glam..

Enjoyed this too! Copenhagen in the sunshine - how different from the Killing yet so familiar with Meyer/Strange back on the screen. Great scene at the PR adviser's funeral with all the mobile phones going off.

Did anybody else do a double take in episode 2 of Borgen when she met that man ont he Marble Bridge and said in great surprise, "Troels!"

Meyer (ie Torben the TV producer) looks quite different without his bananas, and I didn't recognise Strange at all! HJad to look at Wikipedia to find out that his name in this series is Phillip.

Finally caught up last night and love it. And have a serious crush on Strang

Bigbuttons I think aloiseb meant there is another character called Troels and she did a double take when she heard the name in case it was "Troels". Would be good if he was in it. Looking forward to tonight (is that a bit sad to admit - need to get a life).
