or in other words...what do you find the least intolerable! for some reason i can't stand waybaloo - it gets right on my tits and i just dont know why. i think show me show me is great, both ds's love it - and at half an hour that is precious time for mummy to get on with stuff! and anything with justin fletcher seems to hold their attention too so i'm a fan!
any other gems??

Big Barn Farm! Love it. Love I Can Cook too - am I the only adult it's teaching to cook?!

Ambi · 27/06/2011 19:01

Tinga Tinga Tales & Timmy Time are the 2 I like, cannot bear anything else and have to walk out of the room if Balamory is on, I'm sure DH records it to piss me off.

MorelliOrRanger · 28/06/2011 10:18

Glad its not just me with the crush on Mr Bloom - he's lovely.

We like Octonauts in this house too.

Daviddad · 04/07/2011 13:00

I'm not sure which age group Kerwhizz is aimed at. It seems to be mostly repetitive padding and precious little real content and the questions are painfully, tediously easy to answer, so I'm guessing age 1 or 2, but who can say? I can't watch it without screaming.

Fortunately it's much better than the ghastly monstrosity that is Waybuloo, with its pathetic phoney remedial language and new-age floating crystal healing nonsense. What it is supposed to achieve other than a massive profit for the producers I have no idea, but my son has been happily turning it off since he was 2 saying "this is babyish rubbish" (now where did he get that from?)

Compare these dreadful offerings with the huge quantity of good stuff that CBeebies and CBBC put out - not patronising or uselessly childish - and I have to wonder how this kind of "output" gets airtime at all: it has to be financial because it certainly isn't based on content.

I have a bit of a thing for Mr Bloom too! IDS and I both love Dip Dap, Show Me Show Me, Grandpa in my Pocket and Chuggington. I also like Little Charley Bear, but it's too babyish for DS so he turns it off.

That new Baby Jake thing is a bit weird, though, isn't it? Confused

GothAnneGeddes · 04/07/2011 22:38

Kerwhizz is aimed at me, because I rather like the Kerwhizz master Blush

Icoulddoitbetter · 04/07/2011 22:44

64 Zoo Lane is popular in this house, as is Gigglebiz, Zingllas and I love Timmy Time, I find it sooooooo cute.

Show Me Show Me is a poor version of Playschool, imho.

Mr Bloom is rather tasty!

The adverts for Baby Jake, that starts soon, are freaking me out. It reminds me of that horrible Evian advert with the rollerskating babies, urgh!

SleepyFergus · 05/07/2011 23:24

We like Me Too, Tinga Tinga Tales, ITNG, I Can Cook, Something Special and Tikkabilla, Pingu

Indifferent to: Grandpa in my Pocket, C&L

Dislike :, Everyhings Rosie

Despise : (every episode feels like it's 2 hours long), Tweenies (they freak me out), Big Cock Little Cock, Mighty Mites, Waybaloo (WTF???)

We have a demo Cbeebies DVD that has an episode of Waybaloo, TT Tales and I Can Cook on it. DD who is 20mths watches the I Can Cook one repeatedly, so much so , I could cook the sodding carrot & courgette muffins in my sleep. Katie winds me up, she's so utterly awful with her fake laugh and terrible tuneless songs but DD loves it....!

SleepyFergus · 05/07/2011 23:24

Despise list should have started with Zingzillas! Not sure what happened there!

Petalouda · 05/07/2011 23:32

I'm v new to cbeebies, but I flipping love Something Special. I try to get DS to do the signs.

He's 14weeks.

I've Sky+'d it for my own entertainment Grin

scarletfingernail · 07/07/2011 15:15

The most favourite in our house is Show Me Show Me, closely followed by anything with Justin, Nuzzle and Scratch, Zingzillas and Come Outside.

The one that I can't seem to zone out from as the voice is sooo irritating at the same pitch all the way through is Pinky Dinky Do. I can't stand it! "Guessaroony, positoony" wtf?

Also I dislike Mighty Mites, Wayballoo, Everything's Rosie and I Can Cook since I realised that even the child laughter on it is fake! You hear giggles but you can see no one's laughing.

Lulabel27 · 07/07/2011 17:17

I'm with you petaluda with Something Special... Dd 5 months loves it and always wants it on. Ahem.

Andrena20 · 04/02/2012 10:58

Can anyone tell me who sings the song Imagination? It is used on the ad for new series of Charley Bear. I vaguely remember it from the 80's and have been racking my brains for the last few days, thanks.

shoeprincess2 · 04/02/2012 15:07

Belouis Some sang the song "Imagination". The one programme I can't stand on cbeebies is "Iconicles". Smug presenter, with that eyebrow raising.
