or in other words...what do you find the least intolerable! for some reason i can't stand waybaloo - it gets right on my tits and i just dont know why. i think show me show me is great, both ds's love it - and at half an hour that is precious time for mummy to get on with stuff! and anything with justin fletcher seems to hold their attention too so i'm a fan!
any other gems??

DS (22mo) wouldn't allow the TV to be on until about a month ago, and overnight became obsessed with In The Night Sodding Fecking Garden. He stares like a zombie at it, it's kind of creepy.

My biggest mistake was using Catch Up TV on Virgin to let him watch it--now he's twigged there are episodes of his beloved 'Piddah' (IgglePiggle) available at any time. All one has to do is clutch the remote and shout 'PIDDAH!!!' until mummy gives in.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 20/06/2011 14:12

I bloody hate Nuzzle and Scratch. I have to leave the room when they're on. DD thinks my loathing for them is hysterical and she loves coming in to tell me when they're on.

And Squiglet. FFS they're crayon not fecking squigglesticks. And green balloon club and the hideous stage school brats. Ugh. And Big Cock Little Cock. Foul foul foul.

CinnabarRed · 20/06/2011 14:30

We all hate Green Balloon Club. Even DS1 (3.6 years) can recognise a stage-school-brat when he sees one.

CinnabarRed · 20/06/2011 14:31

X-post GML!

MrsKwazii · 20/06/2011 14:35

We love Octonauts in this house Wink as well as Show Me, Show Me; Charley Bear, Timmy Time and Charlie & Lola. Something Special is also fantastic and I think Justin Fletcher is fabulous - although I can't bear Gigglebiz.

Can't bear that Same Smile programme with the poxy pandas. And find Katie's faux chumminess on I Can Cook v irritating.

Also hate the way that Cerri overdances at every opportunity. Chill out love!

DirtyMartini · 20/06/2011 15:41

Oh yes, Green Balloon Club is dire. DP is a gentle man, but I think he would cheerfully throttle anyone involved with that show in any capacity.

Species8472 · 20/06/2011 16:14

DD (23m)and I both agree on Show Me Show Me, Something Special (or anything Justin-related), Small Potatoes and Timmy Time. She used to be crazy for Night Garden and Waybuloo, but that seems to have eased off now.

I hate Green Balloon Club with a passion but DD seems to like it, along with the total bilge that is Grandpa in my pocket. She also likes Same Smile (ugh), and Me Too and Balamory (are they made by the same people?). Can't understand why she likes Mister Maker or Kerwhizz (gives me a headache).

Georgimama · 20/06/2011 16:22

I hate the worthiness and stage school children of Green Balloon Club, so I have indoctrinated encouraged DS to dislike it.

He's 4 now so moving on to CBBC although he still loves Octonauts, Chuggington, 64 Zoo Lane and Rastamouse. I love Charlie and Lola but DS isn't bothered by it - I think it's at the wooden toy end of the children's programme spectrum. Adults love it but kids not so much.

On CBBC he loves Sarah Jane, Horrible Histories and Scooby Doo.

Species8472 · 20/06/2011 16:22

Also, on Small Potaoes, one of the composers, Jerry Bock (who died last year) was a Broadway musical composer, with Fiddler on the Roof to his name. No wonder the Potatoes are so good!

Funtimewincies · 20/06/2011 17:34

Octonauts, Small Potatoes, Charlie Bear, Kerwhizz, Rastamouse and Mr Bloom's Nursery are big favourites with ds1.

We all LOATHE Grandpa In My Pocket.

BikeRunSki · 20/06/2011 17:40

Louie

HATE Zingzillas.

Sharney · 20/06/2011 22:37

Dd4 loves kerwhiz, it does my head in as she gets really into it and shouts at the t.v and runs around the lounge room ect. I can't stand 3rd and bird.

tinker316 · 20/06/2011 22:43

I don't know what I'd do without cbeebies Wink
My DD adores Mr. Tumble Smile
Also firm favourites with her are: Zingzillas , show me show me , octonauts , Mr. Bloom , waybuloo (4 about 10mins!) , balamory, I can cook.

She also loves the Simpsons!!Wink

I cannot rate Justin Fletcher enough- he is fantastic!! Is he doing any shows??

Beamur · 20/06/2011 22:45

DD loves Mr Bloom - even to the extent of singing the 'compostarium' song to our very own compost bin in the garden.
She demands the TV be switched off or over though when Grandpa in my pocket comes on. (Am pleased about that)

liverbird73 · 21/06/2011 13:21

Absolutely despise Show Me Show Me with a passion. Can't stand the presenters and the cheesiness of it all. Gutted that sexpot Mr Bloom is only now on at the weekends, love him. Octonauts rule, Rastamouse is hilarious. Oh,and hate Same Smile too for same reasons as above !!

Apphia · 21/06/2011 13:54

Hate hate hate Grandpa in my pocket and Show Me Show Me. Ohhh and special smile or whatever it's called. Stupid pandas.

My daughter loves ITNG... Mr Bloom for me!

Funtimewincies · 21/06/2011 16:29

What's with Mr Bloom thing? I've got wellies, an allotment and all the mud under my fingernails you could wish for and I don't get lusted after by members of the opposite (or even same) sex [hurrumph emoticon].

Except for dh, but he's got a bit of a Felicity Kendal thing Hmm.

alannabanana · 21/06/2011 17:16

Grin at sexpot mr bloom!! i had a thing for andy when i was preg - hormones do funny stuff!
tinker316 - my ds is actually going with a friend to see justin fletcher in late july - im not sure whether its gigglebiz or what but go to his website for tour dates.
agree with hate list for: grandpa in pocket urggh, same smile yuk urggh, green balloon club yuk patronising urrghhh!

I bet he is the type who would bring you a cuppa in the morning too. :)

He's got bloomin sexy dance moves too.

Funtimewincies · 21/06/2011 18:58

What, like 'do you want to stroke my marrow' or more 'now's the time to get those leeks transplanted'?

Ivortheengine8 · 21/06/2011 19:24

Grin you get the picture!

alannabanana · 21/06/2011 19:41

LittleWhiteWolf · 21/06/2011 19:48

Mr Bloom is rather attractive in a weird sort of way...Blush

DD is almost 2 and we both love Charlie&Lola, Show Me Show Me, Chuggingtons, Octonauts, Small Potatoes

I like Tinga Tales and Telly Tales; I've always liked retellings of myths and stories, but DD gets a bit bored by them.

She loves anything Justin Fletcher related, but gah, I can't stand the man and urgh Gigglebiz...

Funtimewincies · 21/06/2011 19:51

Ds1 has just discovered Telly Tales in Welsh on S4C. The high-pitched little girl with the out of control 'rrrrrrrrrrr' RRRRRRRRRREALLY goes for it Grin.

Ivortheengine8 · 21/06/2011 19:56

alanna, it wasnt me talking filth, it was funtimes who corrupted my very innocent crush on Mr Bloom.
