or in other words...what do you find the least intolerable! for some reason i can't stand waybaloo - it gets right on my tits and i just dont know why. i think show me show me is great, both ds's love it - and at half an hour that is precious time for mummy to get on with stuff! and anything with justin fletcher seems to hold their attention too so i'm a fan!
any other gems??

We love Octonauts, 64 Zoo Lane and watching Sid dancing.

dd loves Tommy Zoom, Grandpa in My Pocket, Green Balloon Club. I don't. I also think Mr Bloom is far too young: he should be old and whiskery, surely.

We both loathe Waybuloo: ghastly hippy nonsense, like being dreamcatchers forced under your eyelids and whale music piped into your eardrums, all at the same time.

hester · 19/06/2011 23:23

I am forced to admit a grudging respect for Justin, though i don't actually enjoy him. dp, though, will stop work to come in and watch Gigglebiz.

deviladvocate · 19/06/2011 23:24

We love Octonauts from CBeebies, from Disney Junior a new favourite is Jake and the Neverland Pirates. All time favourite for all three of mine (6,4 and 1)is Pocoyo.

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 19/06/2011 23:26

I personally like the boys watching 64 zoo lane and grandpa in my pocket.
and smile to myself every time Justin says "hello I'm half asleep" on giggle biz

prolificwillybreeder · 19/06/2011 23:28

Show Me Show Me has enabled me to get dressed/ eat cereal in peace.
DS quite likes Octonauts and Waybuloo too. He's a bit small to appreciate Justin like I do. I like a previous poster hate Gigglebiz (and Everything's Rosie)

I like 3rd and bird and the number raps!

DirtyMartini · 19/06/2011 23:32

64 Zoo Lane, Show Me Show Me, Octonauts.

I have an irrational hatred of 3rd and Bird. (Well, I think it's rational, but objectively ...) I have trained DS to think it's "a silly programme" and get up and switch off the tv. Same with Grandpa in My Pocket.

Worst one on at the moment has to be Mighty Mites. And Kerwizz: wtf?

DirtyMartini · 19/06/2011 23:33

Oh and I love the episode of Come Outside where she visits a sewage plant. Classic.

maldivemoment · 19/06/2011 23:35

Small Potatoes - bloomin brilliant! Our little one loves it and isn't really interested in any other TV at all. Husband and I have been signing "...what would you do on a farm..." for weeks now! Grrrrr!

We also love Waybuloo but appear to be in the minority!

Smileysmilison · 19/06/2011 23:51

My DD, of almost 13 months, absolutely adores Big Barn Farm and has done since she was about 8 months old. She has always been obsessed with dogs, so with both a Labrador puppy and a collie in it, she is in heaven. She also loves the opening credits of Waybuloo but, thankfully, gets bored of it a few minutes in !

hester · 19/06/2011 23:58

Oh yes, Mighty Mites is completely unwatchable.

And Kerwizz: that boy is definitely more decorative than functional, isn't he?

oxeye · 20/06/2011 00:18

We love Chuggington, Octonauts and Timmy time...

Also (not CBeebies) pocoyo which we love, the mighty Stephen Fry!

ErinGoBraLess · 20/06/2011 00:18

dd2 is two and absolutely adores Something Special. I have to admit its the sweetest show for kids i have seen. My older two are a bit old for Cbeebies now but they still love to watch Buzz and Tell which they laugh at raucously.

PurpleLostPrincess · 20/06/2011 01:14

DD2 loves Octonauts, Charlie & Lola, 3rd and Bird, I Can Cook, Everythings Rosie, but also watches lots of Disney Junior (Handy Manny, Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse being her faves). She also likes Grandpa in my Pocket and anything with Justin in it.

Personally I can't stand 3rd and Bird and also that awful Mighty Mites. I've had my fill of Something Special but think Justin is an amazing childrens entertainer. We're convinced that Gigglebiz is 'Little Britain' for kids and can't help but love it.

DD1 is 12 and likes all the more 'mature' Disney shows which are bearable up until we've seen an episode around 40 times, then it gets turned over!

DS is 17 and could still happily watch Rugrats, but I wouldn't have a clue what channel they are on, if at all Hmm

pinkthechaffinch · 20/06/2011 07:07

DD (2) likes show me show me, come outside, I can cook, 64 Zoo Lane, Night Garden..

in fact she likes all of them except for the Tweenies and Zingzillas

we are trying to cut down on the amount of CBeebies she watches

DD and ds (9) both really like Gigglebiz

ScatCatShoo · 20/06/2011 07:41

Oooh, I miss CBeebies so much!! One of the many things I miss about England. Sadly, here in Canada its all Playhouse Disney and Treehouse... commercial cartoony crap! Treehouse, one of the channels shows Mister Maker and DD loves that, reminds her of home I guess.

We also get 3rd and Bird, Timmy Time, Roary, ITNG and Waybuloo here... though she's outgrown most of them. I hate Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, but she seems to like it...

And of course, my favourite, Paddington Bear, on BBC Kids (which usually shows much more CBBC than CBeebies, sadly :()

ScatCatShoo · 20/06/2011 07:42

Oh, and Big Cook, Little Cook too!

hester · 20/06/2011 07:44

Nuzzle and Scratch is very funny.

MarathonMama · 20/06/2011 07:45

Hi all, we haven't been watching Cbeebies yet with my dd, what's good for a 21 mo?

Ivortheengine8 · 20/06/2011 07:46

I hate waybuloo too. Sorry but don't want my child learning Yoga moves at this age.
I hate the number jacks too, it's scary for the younger ones and just general crap.
Oh and that woman on Show me Show me (Poi?) and her 'mouse' voice. ARGGGGG!

I like Mr Bloom (but I fancy the man a bit too who does it! Blush and Charlie and Lola. Charley bear is really sweet.

MrsJamin · 20/06/2011 07:46

Show me show me, gigglebiz, Charlie & Lola, peppa pig (5) and my favourite of all has to be Yo Gabba Gabba which no one seems to have heard of but it's on channel 4 and phenomenal.

Ivortheengine8 · 20/06/2011 07:48

Oh and Gigglebiz is great (even though they need to show some new ones)

onlyaname · 20/06/2011 07:50

DD loves Waybuloo, for that reason I like it too! She Also likes Octonauts, Tinga Tinga Tales, and the new thing with the lion voiced by Lorraine Kelly Hmm. She doesn't like the Tweenies or Teletubbies - the blue Hoover thing makes her cry.

I personally love Nuzzle and Scratch and Buzz and Tell - and tinga tinga and Octonauts!! Hate Zing Zillas and Balamorey and the art thing with squiggles, Squiggle sticks, you mean pens/ pencils....

And we both love Come Outside, god bless Nurse Gladys Emmanuel. Wink

hester · 20/06/2011 07:51

MarathonMama, my dd2 is 21 months and has only just started showing an interest in TV. She likes Teletubbies, Tinga Tales, Big Barn Farm and Blush 60 Minute Makeover...

RalphGnu · 20/06/2011 07:56

My DS loves loves loves 'Big Cook, Little Cook' and joins in the songs with me. DP loves Dina Lady on Gigglebiz and I cannot stand Mighty Mites; the little puppet guy is plain creepy and I want to scrub Sarah Jane's face.

alannabanana · 20/06/2011 08:02

yes im very fortunate mine like 60 min makover too! agree with the poster that said mr bloom is well young. nontheless, he is popular in this house too. and dipdap is regularly repeated on iplayer during dinner time so i can shove food in their distracted mouths!
funnily enough ds1 (2.7yr) is watching everythings rosie right now with great interest, but when it was on last year he couldnt stand it.
oh yeah and rastamouse is a favourite here too - mine and theirs!
