Dods, I can't think of many 47-year-olds who look like her. I've never been a 'fan' of hers but I think she's been such an important female figure and she's fascinating and doesn't deserve the kinds of attacks in the press she gets. Especially not over her appearance. That sucks.

We have an English cat. Well, he's from Berwick.

I remind him everyday that he is an English cat dependent on American and Scottish charity, so he'd best not mouth off to me.

He never listens and grouses more than any cat I've ever had.

Well, she doesn't read papers or magazines so I feel perfectly justified in writing she has a face like a well-skelped arse. B/c she has. .

But why have to slag off her looks at all?

Why not, swings?

I mean, why shoot off fireworks a week after Bonfire Night?

Why eat sprouts at Xmas dinner?

Because it reminds me of nasty schoolgirls picking on each other's physical appearance.

In your book then:

Why not be racist?
Why not be homophobic?

Aw, ffs, swings! You're not actually taking this seriously?! If it reminds you of nasty schoolgirls, why are you still hanging around reading the thread? Why not just 'rise above', take the moral high ground, etc. and leave us low lives to it?

Rhubarb
Pour 'swings' a large glass of French wine. She needs it.

Oooo, I have a thick waist. Am 8 months pregnant.

My arms have always been matchsticks, though. Don't like 'em much at all.

My sister has bingo wings and she calls it her 'turkey leg arms'.

I have seen Madonna. A boy I used to babysit down the street wanted to see her and his folks didn't want to go, so they bought me a ticket to chaperone him. It was the Blonde Ambition tour.

'Queen' was SO much better!

Well, I was wondering actually why YOU got involved in a thread about someone you have so little liking for. Pot calling the kettle I think.

I don't think I'm on a moral highground I just hate women slagging off other women's appearances. I don't get it.

But, you're right, this thread isn't for me. Even though I think you're in the minority for describing her so cruelly as you have.

They are, Rhubarb. That's why I'm no longer there. No one wants to have a laugh. Everyone's WAY too serious and takes everything personally and gets all black affronted at utter FA.

It's like Ibrox or 'Parkheid' if they put a booze ban in place .

I've got a beer here already thanks.

Aren't the French afraid of bird flu? Ducks! They're quite nice a l'orange.

Much better than Pringles .
