I was recently hypnotized by Paul McKenna into "being" Madonna. I thought it would be fun to feel her confidence. When Paul woke me from my trance "as" her I felt absolutely great! I say she can wear what the hell she likes.

(In case that sounds too bizarre - it was an NLP/hypnosis training course and he was teaching something called deep trance identification. I was on stage with Winston Churchill!)

Going back to her dress on Children in Need - do you think she read the comments about her bingo wings and emphasised them?! I notice Terry Wogan made a comment about her arms the monday before Children in Need - do you think she heard it on Radio 2 - I'm surprised she sidn't mention it after she ballsed up the number

I like her latest single, but I think she is too old for that look. I preferred her lady- of -the manor-look.

I was a very big fan as a child, Id go so far to say I was influenced by her "extrovret" nature. I'd have loved to have had the confidence of hers when I was a child. I thought her music was fantastic. But as I grew into my later teens & when she was going through her rebelious stage (with erotica etc)I disliked her for a while. My mum always slagged her off to me-she hated her & constantly told me she was a slag. I didnt care! & still dont-if I like someones musis, it doesn't matter what they look like, I dont judge by looks.

I have to admire her still though now (even though its 20 yrs on) Yes she does still keep on reinventing herself & thats a very clever person to keep doing that. Although I look at her now & think "Hmm yea you are to old for that leotard Madonna" take a look at yourself! BUT.. if you've got it(or think you have got it) flaunt it.

To end on my thoughts of Madonna...............
Her new single "hung up is absolutly fantastic. I love it & turn it up loud when it comes on. AND* well done for getting a 2nd week at the number 1 spot.

CliffRichardSEIH, will you be fashioning your xmas party frock out of bacofoil too (like her CIN frockshocker)? She really looked like an old bird trussed up in that hideous creation.

I love her, I think she's cool! I bow down to her supremacy! I kneel at her altar of fashion! I myself went out yesterday and ordered qn exact replica of the suit she wore to the Premiere, I shall wear it myself on the High Street! And she has encouraged me to be open about myself, I have experiemented with sex, slept with men women and animals after watching her erotica video. Even when I became a mother, I have had lots of one-night stands and have something of a reputation where I live, but that's ok because Madonna does it!

I worship you Madonna! I am so insecure that I have to follow your fashions instead of creating my own, I'm so insecure that I let go off any vestige of self-respect I have for myself by having it off with anything with moves! I am a replica of Madonna! Oh lucky me!

I went through a phase of watching MTV when I was on maternity leave and got slightly obsessed with the show where a celeb takes their biggest fan out and gives them a present. Loads of them were so fab to their fans, P Diddy or whatever he calls himself these days gave really generously and was really humble and nice, even Mariah Carey was quite sweet. Madge was HORRIBLE to hers. She gave them an interview in that silly english accent, clearly did not want to be there, spent 30 mins with them and acted like they had crawled off her shoe. I was mortified! I loved her but felt like I'd just realised what a complete bitch she was! Sorry all you Madge fans, she really has revealed a nasty side to her in the last few years.

I'd love to see Simon Cowell take her to one side and say she just doesn't cut it anymore! Could be a riot!

It also shocks me just how OUT OF TUNE she is singing live - yet everyone just "makes allowances" because SHE'S MADONNA!

She looked mad on children in need she would never have been on such a show 10 yrs ago way too uncool

I think she has a secret project on the go (a long, slow progressive one) to grow old disgracefully and convince herself that she'll go down in history as a British Eccentric...

agree she is riddled with double standars like she really has no idea who she is anymore

and I am a MASSIVE Madge fan. I've seen her in concert 4 times. I am really disappointed in her attitudes of late though.

well what about the fact despite her not liking her kids watching TV and her total ban on it in her house except for movies, her next big project is creating and producing a kids TV series? so its okay for our kids to watch it as long as its making her money but she has different standards for her own? if that's not a double standard I don't know what is!

She looked like a dogs dinner in that purple velvet knickerbocker outfit at the premiere.I doubt we will be seeing many people wearing that any season. She is just like a typical 40 something who has lost her way regarding her looks clothes etc She has always been cutting edge via designers but it just doesn't look good on her anymore It happens to most of us you do have to re think your look as you get older because even if you have the body you look shite

I'm at university studying art and culture so modern 'icons' are part of the syllabus, if you like. It's what she represents that's interesting though not her herself. Like Jennifer lopez who's a bit like Maggie Thatcher in the way she personifies conservative values. Madonna's very conservative too.

i was a bit unimpressed after her little sermon about her kids not watching telly, that she took Lourdes to the premiere of goblet of fire. double standards eh? i do feel she has completely backpedalled since her erotica days.

I don't like or dislike her. I couldn't care less about her actually. She just stands as a good example of the utter blandness of the age we live in.

My Mum is 75 and has no grey hair (or very few). Her Mum died at 98 her Aunts died at 103 and 100. They all looked amazingly young for their age. The interesting thing about my Mum's family is that they don't or didn't give a hoot how they looked.

I think that's what get's me about Madonna, it's the 'look at me don't I look great aren't you all really jealous'. It just makes me want to pick holes in her appearance.

the early songs are all about sex, and love = sex.

eg
yeah, you make me feel, like a virgin, touched for the very first time...
you hold the lock and I hold the key, open your heart to me, darling, Ill give you love if you, you turn the key.
get into the groove, boy you've got to prove your love to me.
experience has made me rich, and now they're after me.

bear in mind that this is being said by a woman whose image is, girl next door makes a huge success. Also, these songs were aimed at teenagers, not mature adults.

the message is clear: active sex life is important, and the more you sleep around, the more boys will fancy you.
