just seen a trailer with the gorgeous Captain Jack and Gwen. No idea when it will be shown bit I'm so happyyyy. We really thought they'd killed it off with the last series.

Anyone know when it's coming??!!

I had a blue fighting fish called Captain Jack (he was very beautiful but vain Grin), but he sadly got fin rot.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/05/2011 23:27

Aw. RIP fishy Jack.

I wanted Captain Jack for Rose the kitten's brother. I thought they went well together. But I was out voted.

I totally went off it when the killed off Owen.

Pixel · 01/05/2011 23:36

Out voted? how cruel!

Mind you, I had a cousin who wanted to call her baby Elvis. I'm actually quite glad she was out voted Grin. (He did end up with the middle name of Presley Hmm).

RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/05/2011 23:44

Yes. The boy kitten was named Biscuits
ridiculous name for a kitty.

How will we manage to wait until August?!

And I loved Owen.

Funnily enough I didn't really warm to him until he was a zombie. Not sure what that says about me ha ha.

I was sorry when he eventually went. Will miss Ianto lots but not Tosh, she was annoying.

midlandsmumof4 · 02/05/2011 01:17

Please can the BBC repeat some of the last episodes?

HarrietJones · 02/05/2011 07:48

I liked Owen in the woods ...

onadietcokebreak · 02/05/2011 08:03

Yay! DP is especially pleaded

Housemum · 02/05/2011 08:11

Owen looked like Beaker off the Muppets :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 02/05/2011 08:38

Yum Ianto. Yes Owen was a little muppet. But we loved him for it. Blush

More news Torchwood Fans today, but I am cross that America get first viewings

Yaaay Torchwood is coming back!!

OP posts:
allegrageller · 21/06/2011 18:29

fantastic news! I loved how Children of Earth pretty much silenced all the Torchwood critics. It was so macabre and well scripted.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 21/06/2011 18:30

deeply sinister wasn't it? But fab too Grin

Hope it stays true to its roots and all that

DH and DS (11 yo) are seriously into TW-especially excited as they weren't overly exited by Dr Who this time. DS watched the last episode on catch-up but it was kind of "might as well" not "Oooh, must watch it"

Didn't let him watch the Shapeshifter one (Nerys Hughes, the wedding one).

Will this new series be siutable for DS. If it's going to be darker??

Northumberlandlass · 23/06/2011 07:37

You call of course LordOfTheFlies....but I wouldn't of thought TW is suitable for kids at even 11, and I'm not a prude about these types of things.

Children of Earth was horrific, but maybe I look at that with an over complicated adult brain.

I am really looking forward to new TW and the return of Captain Jack. Hope it is darker, sexier and weirder ....

RatherBeOnThePiste · 23/06/2011 08:18

Hope it is darker, sexier and weirder ....

Me too!!

Russell T says it's not for children and it is on 9pm+
there are some that are ok though, and with regard to the last series, maybe a child would see it in a more superficial way - no offence to the DC, but you know what I mean? I though it was deeply sinister and disturbing. Fab.

OP posts:
LordOfTheFlies · 23/06/2011 18:05

Mmmmmm yes, Northumberlandlass I don't think my DS has watched TW for a while, and certainly not the ones where the children were taken away. (Though was Tim McEnnery - Lord Percy from Blackadder - the villan?? He was damn good if it was him)

I'm not a TW fan but I'm sure in the early days it was a bit lighter.

So I reckon he won't be watching. I'll let DH watch first anyway!!
