In reference to a question by ltec the other day.

oh and TraceyB love those cords you are v good at theoutnet.

Fleecy I love shorts/ jumpsuit things too, tailored-ish ones. I don't have one but my NaP friend looks really good (it is my fave thing she has).

MarshaBrady · 18/06/2010 19:27

and... congrats reallygrumpy!! soz overandout (for now).

Romanarama · 18/06/2010 19:41

Yes tracey I'm v.impressed, I almost never see anything there I like that's in my size. The only Jbrand in 26 is boaky acid wash jeans.

Poor you fleecy - real sympathies from one who knows too well what it's like.

fleecy - I hope they recover quickly.

LTEC - you are an angel...thank you.

Also - I somehow managed to get that stripey dress from Liberty in a medium. It's no good on me. Too short somehow and that 'ledge' at the back does annoy me! I'm sure you have better legs than me...do you want to try it? I could send it to you and if it wasn't right we'd still have time to get the refund.

tracey - great cords! I too had mixed success with my Liberty purchase. A thakoon pink silk dress which is very odd on, the aforementioned stripey dress (no good on me). However a beautiful light grey suede Rick Owens jacket is a keeper.

Roman - alas the Carla dress is out of our reach - unless Asos do a great 'tribute' version.

DB - it's great having the wedding as a weight goal. I had an MN meet up and I also have an impending holiday with goddess SIL - that is a big incentive!

Marsha - after the attack phase I added in a small glass of wine each evening. I know it's banned but I am still losing weight and it's far more enjoyable this way

blossoming · 18/06/2010 20:31

everything, oatcakes and cheddar? Activia natural yoghurt (bought loads in s'sburys) with handful of nuts? Make your own popcorn? Dried figs with Parma ham? Sausage roll...(sorry, joke).
Had a hard time shredding tonight. Hate circuit 3, level 2.

Perhaps Bloss could rustle us up a 'Carla' dress on her Singer?

reallygrumpy · 18/06/2010 20:48

Thank you all for the congrats. We're trying not to get too excited in case something goes wrong but we've told my PIL who are thrilled.

roman based on my last pg when I didn't have a proper bump till 18wks I'm just going to be looking fat at my bro's wedding so I'm going to wait and then see what's flattering nearer the time. Thanks v much for the dress offer but I'm a size 12 so yours would be too small.

DH is out watching the football this eve so I'm having a lovely time watching bad tv and avoiding the work I really should be doing...

yes good one Hells, am going to splash out this weekend... and have a glass of wine.

CHOOGIRL · 18/06/2010 21:19

I'm back! Did anyone notice I'd gone?

Lots of congratulations esp to reallygrumpy and Bloss Roma am about your boob job. At 34E I have plenty, but would prefer them to stand on their own iyswim.

Grand Prix was fab, Montreal was OK. I did not buy anything. Not sure if it was the exchange rate but everything seemed so expensive. I did manage to buy the purple VW online at half price from HN. I already have the black which is my fav dress at the mo.

I wore my Houlihans quite a lot in Canada (but don't tell Cake. I'm not sure I ever fessed up to owning them) Even at size 12 they look quite flattering. I'm not wearing them to the W&A meet-up though just in case I'm deluding myself.

Came back to a letter from HMRC so expecting a bill towards the end of the year. May have to curb my spending. On the other hand the NAP sale starts Monday......

hf128219 · 18/06/2010 21:20

reallygrumpy Congrats from me too!

DolceeBanana · 18/06/2010 21:45

Am bored of the football. Tedious, and they don't even try that hard! DH is very disappointed. He allowed our almost 4 year old DS to 'stay up' to watch some of the game... from me! DS couldn't care less. Just wanted to get his toys out, so kept wandering into playroom...Disapproving, I took myself off to the kitchen and read my 'Apples and Jam' cookbook - what am I ? A sadist!? That's how peed off I was, you see!

Tracey - saw my Dad today who said, 'So...found a house yet, or not bothering?....' I was disproportionately narked by the innocently irksome comment...and rather sharpishly retorted that, 'of course' we were! Yes, my DH is really fussy too. I'm desperate for anything to call my own now! Well, maybe not that desperate!

I found a beautiful house recently (i.e. already done up, yes, at a premium, but beautiful place where I could envisage myself living..heck, I even found the place for the Christmas Tree! He's like...nooo, you might hear traffic on that incredibly sleepy country lane...He's seeking perfection...I just want a fab kitchen! Oh well.

Choo - I love the Houlihans, and wish I'd got some...they seem to be sold out everywhere...glad you had a good time in Canada, and welcome back!

Marsha - don't think I will survive last on no alcohol! Anyhow, my SIL is arriving tomorrow so will def require some liberal quaffing to cope! Have you been drinking at all? I felt good all day btw, and then had another wobble at 7pm...really lightheaded, so maybe should have had a pot of yog at 4pm as Dr D recommends....

Anyway, have fake tanned my legs so hoping, oh hoping that the sun arrives again tomorrow!

reallygrumpy · 18/06/2010 21:46

Forgot to say before, Dolce those Hobbs wedges you linked to a while ago are in the sale which started yesterday.

blossoming · 18/06/2010 21:51

hf, I haven't seen the dress, but thanks for thinking of me (deluded though you may be).
Have you seen the dvf sale? The jamila I liked months ago is about £100 pound off. I wanted it for the christening so don't want it now. Still lusting after new season though.
Dh on his way home and I 'm having a cheeky stella.

hello
Hols booked finally after best part of 2 days spent on internet and phone calling agents and pricing up what seemed like a million permutations and dates. Going to Porto Sani in Halkidiki for 10 days end of Aug.
Ordered another 4 bikinis in readiness , two ASOS bargains and 2 Heidi Klein bargains from Club BB (which I know noone else seemed to have any joy with but fingers crossed will work for me again).

Choo - glad to hear you had a fab time away. I was going to link to LK Bennett dress for Roma also - last winter they had another v similar with the side ruching but a boat neck rather than square and in a fine wool tweed - I really wanted it but couldn't see where I would ever wear as SAHM. Worth waiting to see what comes infor A/W as am sure they will do them again.

Have read through thread to try and catch up but too much stuff to remember - but congrats to ReallyGrumpy.

Had Outnet delivery today and v disappointing. Ordered these current elliott jeans but the sizing is really weird and I think I would need a 25 or 24 - now out of stock tho' so will have to see if they get any returns. I don't know how they say the model is wearing a 28 - it's not true, they'd be down by her ankles!

Also ordered these in a 24 and they are ok but tbh I think maybe a 25 would be better as then they would be more slouchy, the 24 is a bit too fitted on me.

Such a shame, been hankering after a pair of Current Elliott boyf's for ages .

ASOS order arriving tomorrow with the half price Lola sandals (thanks MM ) and these in gold.

MM - I know I've missed you now but hope the hol is not too bad in the end .

I have linked to this gorgeous bag before - a slightly smaller non-patent black leather version has just gone into the sale in a shop near me with a 50% discount - am dropping serious hints to DH that it would be a perfect b-day present (end July)

hf128219 · 18/06/2010 22:41

Yes, glad you had a good time choo everything life is full of chores isn't it?!

esher Porto Sani will be fab!

LetThemEatCake · 18/06/2010 23:38

choo am glad you're back! Lol about the houlis- sprung! Am sure they look great on you.

bloss re Shred, do you think that Jillian has a bit of a girl thang goin' on for Natalie or am I just puerile?? She is bi....

hells would you really?? That'd be so ace, 3rd time lucky!! You are FB'ed with Tracey, right? I am on her list, initials SR, red parka, blue jeans, 3dc. If you message me we could work out details, thanks a million!

Let the side down today with same outfit for day (natural history museum) as night (pub). Indigo skinnies, vintage (well, second hand) cacharel silk blouse and new Bloch carnivales. Will try harder tomorrow, am aiming for a 3-outfit day, purely for my own amusement, mind.

Night all
