Ooh thank you this is great to know. Sadly Bicester Village is too far for me to visit these days (I actually worked in Bicester Village as a teen, many many moons ago!), but I think there is a Rituals outlet at Cheshire Oaks which is a possibility. Perhaps I can combine a trip to the aquarium for DS and a little spot of retail therapy for me….!

@viccabelle - I like Miss Boux too but also recommend Diary of a Beauty Geek - she makes me laugh.

I sometimes watch Cosmetopoeia too, but not as much as in previous years.

Thanks for mentioning Diary of a Beauty Geek @IlovePond, haven't watched her videos before. She's making me want to buy the ASOS calendar...

I like Hanbeauty101 because she is a good shade match for me and does very through reviews and also Amelia's Beauty Chat who looks nothing like me but her reviews are good and she's got a very engaging personality. Both are around my age and tend to do the luxe end of make up with a bit of skincare here and there. I've not seen them do advents or beauty edits.

I also like Sophia Sees Beauty as she seems honest if something doesn't work or isn't worth the money. She is quite a bit younger than me so I watch the other two more just because I like to know how products work on the the 45+ demographic.

The main thing I feel I'm missing from youtube reviewers is someone about my age who has hooded eyelids and not much eye 'real estate' to work with. I suppose one of the reasons people get into doing make up looks on youtube is because they are good at make up and have eyes that lend themselves to looking good on camera.

To add to some of the others mentioned Planning with Crystal is another advent person and another shout out for HanBeauty101 for makeup. I also like Charlotte Holdcroft and Morgan Turner does great product reviews.
Erica Taylor on Instagram is great for quick makeup tips

Hanbeauty is an instant follow. Her skin looks great and she has instantly influence me to look at the Omnia sleep and glow pillow 💰😶‍🌫️

Getting a nice lilting Welsh accent from both Hanbeauty101 and Diary of a Beauty Geek, I love accents. Lived in Wales for a few years and developed a little lilt myself which was profitable (worked in inbound sales at the time, got lots of comments on the lovely accent, aww thanks cariad).

Does anyone here do tweakments themselves? I've got the lumi-pro eyes to do and have just put numbing cream on. I'm used to injecting my thigh weekly with Mj but this is a different thing. Feel ok about it but a little nervous. If it works out it'll save me a lot of money.

Also, any recommendations for folks with warm skin tone, I'm assuming Hanbeauty101 and Diary of a Beauty Geek are cool-toned? All I know is their skin tone is the opposite of mine, maybe they are warm and I'm cool?

@OvaHere Another recommendation for Erica Taylor for the hooded eyes. I wouldn’t say she really has them, but she does a lot of tutorials. She’s worked with MBM too, and I know you’re a fan of his palettes.
I watch her on TikTok but I’ve checked and she’s on YouTube as well.

I don’t tend to watch unboxings, etc but I have watched a couple recommended on her. I liked HanBeauty, I recently watched her video on the Lancôme palette we got last year (which I’ve still not yet opened), and the Dior Lip glass (I think it’s called?), plus a couple of others. I found her to be really honest about what she thinks are good products and what’s a better cheaper alternative

I really like Random Lifestyle Vlog particularly as she always seems to test a lot of the products from advents particularly Fragrance

Just remembered I also really like Alicia Archer. Again, looks nothing like me but she's gorgeous, great at make up and does good reviews. She also does a bit of fitness and lifestyle content.

Nothing to do with beauty but each Sunday I usually catch up with this channel. She did a summary video of buying a house for $1 and doing it up which she now lives in. She bought another house in a terrible state and she and her dad are doing it bit by bit. There's a vid each week. This is this weeks.

Thanks. I watched this and it's confirmed I don't want it. The value is there but it just feels a bit dull to me (no shade on anyone who has bought it. If you love it I'm very happy for you 😍)

The only item I fancied was the SF cleanser which I bought on Vinted for under a tenner.

The current Lancome holiday edit is avaliable now. I'm not getting it this year. The palette is underwhelming and in the photo looks like a digital image rather than an actual photographed palette.

Another recommendation for Erica Taylor, who is also on instagram - I have her book too!

I've ended up buying quite a few things from the snk calendar, I would've been better off buying it and selling things I didn't want 🤦🏻‍♀️ I was tempted to buy the summer Fridays cleanser but I have 16 in my stash so I'm not sure it's needed 🤣

I agree with you. The skincare isn’t exciting this year, I don’t understand why they have put in 2 mascaras, and who needs a £90 body cream?! 🥺 All in all underwhelming.
