The wreath Rituals Advent Calendar was discounted to £57 in the Ritual store in Bicester Village today. It looked lovely and huge

I have it and it is very lovely. I haven’t opened it though, I’m just admiring them all lined up; pristine and perfect.

Ooh - that means mine might arrive on my birthday …. So I can use it as a birthday gift to me - yes? …. And therefore can legit buy another one!

Went to both Harrods and Selfridges today and omg the Harrods beauty and fragrance department has become some fresh hell 🤯 It's so claustrophobic with way too many brands in a small room and wayyyyyy too many people. I honestly couldn't get out of there fast enough. I wasn't even tempted by the food court that had insane queues as well.

Thankfully, I then went to Selfridges which is my happy place 😊 The perfume and beauty department was a pleasure to be in, the customer service was lovely. They even agreed to help fix my daughter's UGGs (in a different department 😀). I loved it there so much I very nearly bought their advent calendar!

I’ve ordered Elle tonight, reviewing my spreadsheet there’s enough I’ll use, and gift that’s it’s worth my while rather than buying the individual items on Vinted. I‘m using as an edit rather than calendar and that really is it! Elle. Harrods, Liberty and LF Grooming for ds is way more than the 1 calendar I was going to get ( with beauty drop credit 🤣). It was Miss Boux’s unboxing that made my mind up. I much prefer hers to Really Ree who talks really quickly and just mentions the product and doesn’t talk about it! Thanks for the enabling/ encouragement! Can’t wait for Harrods and Liberty opening threads with you all!

That’s a great price! I finally opened my new year bargain one (I think I paid £75) last week, but did it in one go as I had bought it for restocking the bathroom rather than an advent. It is a lovely design though

I finally went through my last years JL BAC today, I forgot how many products I like in it.
I had a few empty drawers so I think I’ll switch them around and open them daily for the rest of the month.

I was looking for some nail polish today as well and found another stash, so despite me wavering on the SNK BAC today, I’m going to hold off. Obviously if it gets reduced I’ll pounce on it!

I’ve been reading the advent calendar thread for the past few years which I’ve enjoyed so much - thank you.

I preordered HBAC, which is now apparently with DPD (v excited for it to arrive after waiting since August), and managed to get the CB special with the code so I’m happy with those. But…I’ve been thinking about the Elle calendar for a while and the posts about the great box are testing my resolve to just stick with the ones I’ve got. Not sure where I can store another calendar until December either…

I had Liberty last year and the Rituals Christmas village from an outlet store, both of which I loved, so can’t wait for this December!

Was the limit at 2 for the Harrods fragrance calendar? Really confused as to how an ebayer can have sold 47 and have 4 left to sell. Sellers received feedback for the fragrance advents so it seems legit?
Surely Harrods wouldn't have sold them 50+ fragrance advents?

Family & friends? different email addresses? I don't think Harrods do any sophisticated checks, most likely they just limit 2 items per transaction

Ugh I hate people like that. Makes genuine customers lose out on the stuff whilst bots/ resellers take everything.

I think they use a bot to generate email addresses and place orders in the first seconds of release. This has happened with other items like air con units that were then sold at massive price hikes as well as tickets for gigs etc.

I may have accidentally ordered Liberty’s BAC this am and currently have SNK in my basket (still no idea what is stopping me with this one).

Re: Liberty

I went to see DSis yesterday and persuaded her to get the Liberty a/c out of its box to check Day 24.

Sure enough - although the Reome Broth looked ok on the surface, when I opened it to check, there was brown gunk around the neck of the bottle. It had obviously been leaking, but the warehouse staff had just been told to tighten bottles, not replace!

I advised her to complain to Liberty CS, and get a new one, but she probably won’t bother.

It’s a lovely box and I like the bag better than last year. I tried to rehome the bag to PondTowers, (where it would have had a good home, and been well-used), but DSis insisted on putting it back in the cupboard 🙀😹

DSis sells all the fragrance from edits/a/cs, though, so she kindly let me have the ex Nihilo for my DIY FAC. This partly made up for my disappointment in getting a half empty bottle of fragrance from Vinted yesterday. (I am still so angry about that!)

I've just got home from my holiday and have opened and checked the CB BAC. Just to balance out some of the bad luck people have had, mine has arrived in great condition and with all the contents. I'm really pleased with it.

I think ASOS is a good shout and people were saying it's £78 in the app. My teen had the ASOS calendar last year and loved it. It has a good mix of all the teen favourite brands and has a lot of make-up. I would go with that. Glossybox I think has more skincare.

I only bought Lookfantastic this year because I think some of the items in ASOS were the same as last year. I'm still very tempted by it though.

Actually, can people advise how they got the ASOS calendar for £78 as it appears to be excluded from discounts?
