The day it released about mid morning. It was after @MrsBnow12 so I don't know why mine has been sent already.

I’ve been thinking about beauty calendars - given how much stuff I already have, my ideal calendar for this year would be:

Just the one 12 day calendar containing:

Four unusual but lovely 10-15ml perfumes
A really good eye cream
Ditto moisturiser
A pretty eyeshadow palette
A cute lipgloss -preferably from SK
One good shampoo and conditioner
A couple of cute and useful accessories, (not eyelash curlers 🙀)

’Cute’, ‘pretty’ and ‘lovely’ are subjective, of course - so in my ideal calendar creation world, the curators of my dream calendar would know me better than I know myself!

What would you all have in your dream calendar?

The Noir? I love it too, bought one off Vinted when JL was out. Only reason I asked is I love LL and hadn’t seen it in any calendar this year apart from Selfridges and BT!

I’m going to think about that, but off the top of my head -

Hi @HardyFoxafter seeing your post about the Sisley cream in your Liberty calendar i checked mine and it was manufactured in mid 2022 and expired in 2025!! So its an email to customer services for me tomorrow

I've just spent a couple of hours going through these threads - wow, you are the queens of BAC! I've learned a lot - you're amazing. I'm a lapsed Liberty BB-er so am avoiding that one and after much consideration I think I've decided on Vogue for me and DD23 to open and share/argue over on Xmas day. I have a skincare stash so am drawn to the mix of products. Anything I should know before I buy?

My ideal calendar would be

To achieve this I just have to buy all available calendars and create a frankenstein!

I am in a bit of shock i purchased the Liberty calendar i have started going through all the products in there and so far they are all out of date it says the Sunday Riley. CEO was manufactured in 2021 and expired in 2023, the U Beauty manufactured in 2023 and will be out of date in a month i am going to ask customer services if i can return it i have no confidence any of the stuff is in date

I think someone said upthread that the industry recycles codes. SR is so far out of date, I wonder if that is what has happened?

I would add SR CEO oil to mine, too. I got that in an advent calendar once, and it was by far my favourite item, that and a cream blusher called Chantecaille cheek gelee

Yes — many (possibly most) brands recycle their batch codes, typically on a 5- to 10-year cycle. This means the same code can legitimately correspond to multiple production dates, which is a significant limitation of checker sites.
Key points:

• Cadence varies by brand. Some recycle every 5 years, others every 10, and a few (like some Japanese brands) have shorter cycles. CheckFresh.com and CheckCosmetic.com will flag when a brand recycles codes and note the approximate cycle.
• Practical impact: If a code is recycled every 10 years, a "2016" result could actually mean 2006 or 2016. The site usually returns the most recent match but may not tell you which cycle your product falls in.
• How to narrow it down: Cross-reference with when you (or a previous owner) bought the product, the packaging design/era, and any visible wear. A fragrance from 2016 with a code that also matches 2006 is almost certainly the newer one if you bought it recently.
• Community consensus: Users on r/beauty and r/Ipsy note that "batch numbers are reused after a while by many manufacturers" and that contacting the brand directly is the only way to get a definitive answer for a specific unit.

So batch code checkers are still useful as a first-pass estimate, but treat the result as "manufactured in this year or the same year minus the recycle cycle" rather than a single definitive date.

That would be fine if it was only one or two items but its all of them plus Reome only launched in 2023 so AI tell me they havent recycled their batch codes, it out of date at the end of the year

Yes surely this is a case of reissuing codes, the big brands won’t be providing Liberty with out of date products and surely Liberty won’t have so many out of date products, eapecially 3 years out of date?! 😳
ETA Just read your latest post, wonder if it’s worth an email to CS and asking outright? I genuinely can’t ( don’t want to!) believe this can be right.

That must be short dated then if it only launched in 2023. It can be harder to be sure with products that have been available for much longer. We really need as a minimum manufactured dates printed on products, if not expiry dates.

I got the new edit from CB and the Murad serum is from March 26 which is good. Lewisham has an expires 2029 print on it. Elemis is 4 months old and Bader is expire march 28. So what I can check is all good.

But wait for it the same Murad serum from elle advent is March 2024. From CB the paulas choice retinol is end of Jan 2025.
