I’m a bit disappointed with a/cs this year. My favourite is still HBAC and I have a sneaking fondness for GB but I am not desperately excited about either.

Korean Skincare calendar: Tidal Glow - launching 27th or 28th September. However, I have no idea what’s in it or how much it’s going to cost and I don’t buy anything without knowing the contents.

StyleKorean - Launching some time in November but no other details - again, I would want to know the contents in advance!

Looking forward to the Korres calendar now I've seen the contents on BD.
Have to say it maybe doesn't compete with the Guerlain which is a total thing of wonder. I've worn Mitsouko practically from being born, I should have earned enough loyalty points for a complimentary BAC by now!!!

Just wanted to comment briefly on China and cruelty free products. My understanding is that the issues around animal testing are about products sold in China, not about products manufactured in China but not sold there. So it is quite possible for a brand to be cruelty free and do manufacturing in China if they do not sell their product into that market.

I have gone for Vogue this year - I like the variety of products, including the jewellery.

Just an update on the issues I had with my Harrods calendar. Remain unimpressed with their customer service but I have at least received replacements for the 2 faulty products, albeit they didn’t tell me, they just arrived!

Is this cashback through topcashback? Or something else? I ordered theough tcb (plus the radiant box) and currently its pending at £4 cashback only

No it's through Coupert I think. Maybe it's bobbins. You don't always know and then it credits in your account. But if I was relying on it (15% is £30 after all) then it would be annoying if I didn't get it

I'm tempted by the Sentier calendar - although I do have 2 of the 6 perfumes thanks to them being ridiculously cheap on All Beauty. The Ardent Cherry one is calling me, it sounds like it would be nice for the colder months. I also love candles, so they would be a win too - and once used, the jars would be a good size for me to experiment with making my own candles.

I am impressed with Harrods. Ordered on Sunday afternoon and received today. I’ve had a quick look in each drawer and many drawers have two items.
Not sure why the drawer for the 24th and 25th is really small with only one small item though?

Really think I'm done with Liberty now.
Received my replacement for the Biome broth and Sisley lotion this afternoon.
In spite of telling me that I didn't need to return the faulty broth or out of date lotion they have sent me a returns label??
I'm not sure what is going on but there was a barcode label on the Sisley lotion, part of which had been crossed out with a black marker pen. However, a lick and a rub (as you do) rubbed enough of the ink off for £5.00 to clearly show - on a product costing £155 on their website. It's all very strange...

Yes, draw 24 and 25 are not great. Best to add some extras yourself to spruce it up a bit!

I think the returns labels are automatically put in for the products in the box. I don’t think the returns labels refers to the products you already have. I would just ignore it.

What do you think of the French Pharmacy advent calendar? I’ve been waiting for it to announce impatiently and now I’m not sure. I like the idea of using French stuff but quite honestly I know nothing about the brands or whether the stuff is worth getting. I already have Fortnum and Mason so I have something to open and my sensible head is saying no.

I always think if you don’t love it don’t buy it . If you have to persuade yourself it’s not for you .

@HardyFox - same thing happened with the broth - £5 stickers. It seems likely that this is what they are paying the brands for these supposedly high value items.

I know there is always a mark up, but this is just massively insulting to customers - make your huge profit out of us but at least have the decency to take the blooming price tags off!

Btw: DSis sent off my email. Liberty CS sent her an automated response saying they were aware of problems with the broth! Hopefully they won’t just ignore the Sisleya issue. (Not only does it expire in January, but on closer inspection the bottle is only two thirds full!)

Tentatively rejecting the advances of Selfridges BAC. I should be done shopping now for at least a year. Had a rotten afternoon, then got a call from a mate having a similar afternoon, and just thought sod it and ordered all those edits from Mintd mentioned on the other thread. Got enough skincare to open a shop.
