What are the main trends going to be would you say?

Brown can look beautifully rich. Think chestnut, cocoa, copper and russet. Black, grey and blue can look flat too. Any colour can. Depends on the richness and depth of the shade, too.

I remember seeing a Victoria Beckham picture with chartreuse trousers, paired with a deep mauve/violet blouse. The colours looked fabulous together.

yes, of course different colours suit different people. But a deep chocolate brown can look extremely elegant.

Can I still get away with a bit of argyle?

Funnily enough I got an email linking to M&S new arrivals, and there is an argyle cardigan in the collection. There seems to be a lot of fluffy textures as well this autumn. Great unless you get caught in the rain 🤪

I bought a lovely argyle jumper last year... and it's chocolate brown 😅

I always have such optimism when we move into autumn as I love autumnal colours. However I know that once October hits realistically my black puffer coat gets surgically attached to me for the next 5 months so it doesn't really matter what I am wearing underneath. However I have just bought a lovely big purple wool scarf from Vinted so at least that will jazz up the puffer.

I actually like the violet chartreuse combo but this comment is hilarious!
I also like and suit brown but wouldn’t pair with purple because I don’t want to look like a bar of dairy milk

Darling, you’d look like a snack. 😘
