@OftenOrange - the prices on Ebay for Toast jumpers are mad, and I've noticed some similar over optimism on Vinted. I wouldn't play so much for something worn - especially a jumper. I'd be wary about how it had been washed/shrunk. Lots of listings saying 'used to be a L, now slightly shrunk so listed as XS' - who'd buy that!!

I was wondering about the twisted seam cords. Are they less fitted at the waist than the Annies?

OftenOrange · Yesterday 20:17

@faustina I had a good laugh looking through those listings , honestly the bare faced cheek !
The twisted seam are a more relaxed fit on the waist . I’ve been size 8 Annie for years and the waist only just big enough but these new Annie cords are so tight they give me pain!
I had to resign myself to accepting an ankle length with the twisted seam , and they do look very good with the monkey boots or lace ups shoes.

Thank you @OftenOrange - I might try a pair - I love the Amber colour!

@OftenOrange I hope you enjoy your mohair jumper. I’m pretty sure you will. It’s great having lovely jumpers at the beginning of the season. I had to wait a bit to wear mine as I bought them at the end of the season last year but I’m loving them now.
I hope my name on here evokes some nice images for you. It does for me.
I store most but not all of my jumpers in drawers, not tightly. I use cedar balls and cedar oil to try keep the moths out. I keep an eye out for them coming in and use the knits in circulation if I can.
If the knit is worth that amount second hand then maybe. It seems lots are expensive if good quality. Good wool is expensive. But I too shake my own head at the high toast prices on resell sites alot of the time.

@faustina Hope you do try the Amber , they seem to look good with so much.
I find that the trousers need a slightly shorter jumper, hence the Mohair !

Is anyone going to the Notting Hill Circle tomorrow?

It’s a bit of an odd one:

The Notting Hill shop has a permanent Circle rail - I’m wondering if there will be more items available there than usual or if it’s not really worth going.

The shop will be open to non-Circling customers - this is a bit of a throwback to the past when I remember going to a Richmond Circle when the shop was open as usual. I’m thinking it might get a bit chaotic if staff are splitting their attention between paying customers and Circlers.

It’s an all-day event - I’m wondering when would be the best time to go.

Has anyone been to the Circle at NH before under similar circumstances and, if so, do you have any thoughts?

Thanks

Btw, we are almost at the end of this thread, so I will set up a new one.

I’ve just checked an order I placed a day or two ago and noticed that it includes a kindred gift. Always a nice surprise but it’d be nicer (for me!) if it was in the order I’ve placed for myself rather than the gift wrapped order on its way to a friend! Oh well.

IlovePond · Yesterday 23:35

@artant - it might be worth speaking to CS and saying that you didn’t realise there was a Kindred gift when you were sending a gift - they might - just might - consider sending you another one.

However, you will get extra friend brownie points!

Yeah, I might pursue it with customer services. I’m not too bothered missing out on it really but I do think it’s a bit random putting it in with an order that’s being gift wrapped and sent directly to someone else; I might suggest not including it if the order is clearly a gift to a recipient other than the person placing the order.

IlovePond · Yesterday 23:59

@artant - I think that is the way to approach it with them. Toast could see it was a gift being sent to a different address to the one on your account, so the Kindred gift should have been sent to you separately, (in an ideal world!)
