Opinions on these sandals please?

I'm eyeing up these sandals but can't decide. Thoughts please?

I am terrible for buying fugly sandals as I want something comfy, then they arrive and I decide they are awful and send them back 😅

I want something closed toe with a back strap for driving/ walking/ work in the summer (my work is quite casual though). Just something I can wear with casual dresses and shorts. That line between comfy but vaguely fashionable is hard to find.

Also welcome other suggestions!

in my opinion these are just as fugly as the OP’s suggestion! But I do completely agree that most of the sandals on these threads are. There must be a solution!

JulietSierra · 16/07/2026 06:27

Oh op I’m sorry but they’re awful 🙈🙈🙈

Cactus09 · 16/07/2026 06:42

Yes- fugly. (Also, you may as well just wear a nice shoe if you want a closed toe)

Gateappreciation · 16/07/2026 06:43

Not keen on them, sorry.

These are my go-to sandals. I live in them over the summer and wear them with trousers, shorts, dresses etc.

No

MsIceSandwich · 16/07/2026 07:44

Every pair of sandals so far on this thread is fugly 😬

OwlCalledSage · 16/07/2026 07:47

3 sandals linked, each one more hideous than the last.

Ironfloor269 · 16/07/2026 07:47

It’s a fuck no from me. You’ll look like you are wearing cooked chicken breasts on your feet.

Freinddilemma · 16/07/2026 07:48

Oh girl hell no

midlifeattheoasis · 16/07/2026 07:49

Oh dear god what are those

Ratherhaveacupofteaandabiscuit · 16/07/2026 07:54

I quite like them but then I like Hotter shoes which are frequently mocked here!
Comfort comes first with feet.

MyNewNewlife · 16/07/2026 07:55

Is this thread a joke? If so well done, its hilarious... im off to find some uglier sandals for show n tell.. sorry if its not a joke, errrm I'd say the sandals shown so far are not aesthetically pleasing

That made me laugh out loud.

So true!

When you say comfortable - do you walk much in them? I am thinking like 10-15k step type days?

As you say - they are nice enough and do look comfortable. Always so hard to tell with sandals though.

In answer to the OP - sorry, nope, those are awful.

Fiendishandfiery · 16/07/2026 08:00

Gosh what’s going on on here then, yes op, I’d actually have said they are the ugliest I’ve seen until I saw @Gateappreciation , which are a close competitor.

the green markies ones I like the colour.

MegMortimer · 16/07/2026 08:08

I'm a right old girl with no sense of fashion, but even I wouldn't wear any of these shoes (ok maybe the M&S ones)

Sparrowsandbudgies · 16/07/2026 08:09

I think they’re fashionably ugly in the same way that Birkenstocks are, so I’d rather get actual Birkenstocks.

dudsville · 16/07/2026 08:18

Op, if you want to keep your toes covered and want to be able to drive in them, comfort, etc., what about mesh trainers? I have these for exercise in the summer, but they come in other colours.

They’re not really sandals, they’re sling back Mary Janes with a few holes in them. And imo Mary Janes are always ugly except on little girls. The fisherman type are nicer if you really must have closed toe.
