Removing microbladed eyebrows - URGENT

TryAndGetOutOfThat · 24/04/2026 15:26

Has anyone had microbladed eyebrows removed? I had microblading done on Tuesday, and the brows are odd - one higher, arched, thin and light. The other is short, curved, dark and diferent altogether. I rang the salon the next morning and spoke with the woman who did it (she owns the salon). After a great deal of hostility from her, she asked me to go tomorrow morning ao that she can "sort it out". Googling it, it seems that the best method would be lasering, but I'm worried.

I think I would get saline removal
these are mine, they spent ages mapping them out. Whole appointment was probably 2hrs

They don’t match, and totally understand you want a refund and it to be fixed.

They aren’t as awful as you think though. I was expecting the big black caterpillars eyebrows you see on Facebook!! Hope you can get it sorted soon.

I’m doing laser removal on mine after 6 years as the pigment had bled, so that’s an option but only once they’ve healed. The clinic I go to charges £50 a session as it only takes 10 mins a go. Probably need 2/3 sessions.

After seeing the photo, they’re not that bad. Definitely not a professional job but I just wouldn’t walk down the street and double take you and wonder what happened. They just look like a home pencil job.

I would tell her you want a full refund, explain that you now know she should have mapped them out and shown you the shape before hand and that the whole process should have taken longer than an hour.

take the money she’s refunded you and book else where. Try posting on a local Facebook community page for recommendations and explain that it will be a cover up job.

this is fixable.

The photos are without any make-up - as you can see, bloody ugly - and now I'm so fed-up, I don't want to go out at all. Wish my holiday could be cancelled. Dreading going to that woman tomorrow, but I'll get a refund - and then what??

I'm no expert but the blading looks like it's going the wrong way.

The lines are going top centre down and away to the sides when the hair naturally grows bottom centre, up and away to the sides of the face.

i.e. the lines on the arched brow are at 7/8 O'clock when they should be at 10/11 O'clock

EDITED. I've just had another look and the very arched one is as I described, the other one looks different to it though. If others that have had it done can see this too, this would be something that needs to be raised with the 'technician' (is that the right word?)

I'm so depressed about them

They are barely noticeable with them being so light, I can see what you mean and would definitely get a refund, but only because you’ve only got the brows in the picture and that’s what we’re focusing on. My natural brows don’t really match. Don’t let it spoil your holiday.

Get an eyebrow pencil. You should be able to shade, not draw, shade, under on the high side and over on the low side. That will help level them up more and get the shape more consistent. I've also seen makeup videos where eyebrow get fully covered over and then pencilled on. Shading is not hard and I find the little brush on the end can even the colour and tidy up the edges.

I don't think to they are too bad, certainly a stranger wouldn't even notice any issue but at the same time I can see your issue. You need a refund and a discussion as to what could be done. Then take your refund to someone else.

That is exactly what they look like!

Thanks for all your replies. I don't feel so alone now. I'll get a refund and go back to pencilling them, then look for someone else.

I can see the difference but I think it looks worse because your glasses sit somewhat lopsided on your face.
I’d pop into your optician to get your glasses adjusted and also take the refund.

TheRealHousewife · Yesterday 07:11

I’m sorry to read you’re so down about them @TryAndGetOutOfThat. I can see why you’d be upset as you've not been given what you asked for. From the photos if I saw you out and about I wouldn’t notice. Honestly. They don’t look as bad as most ladies who have the laminated look applied. In fact yours look quite natural apart from the colour difference. Are you able to use any make up yet as you could even the colour up that way. I’d be reluctant to allow the lady to give you further treatment. Go and try to enjoy yourself on holiday and try to not worry x

alwaysusethebiglight · Yesterday 07:15

I can see why you dislike them and want them fixed, but honestly, passing you in the street or serving you in a restaurant, I wouldn’t even notice.

eurochick · Yesterday 07:23

The right one looks like it is in completely the wrong place. At least they are not dark. Hopefully they can be removed by someone else.

Treebere · Yesterday 07:25

Oh love. Make a note of what to say, go to the appointment and be very clear- you want a refund only. Let them heal for a while and then pencil/powder over before you decide to laser or have redone elsewhere. I understand you’d be upset but you look absolutely lovely (gorgeous skin and eyes!) so please don’t be to hard on yourself. Have a fabulous holiday, the sun may make them fade too, just be careful to keep the area clean while they’re healing.

Backawayfromthesausage · Yesterday 07:28

They are not right, absoltely, but they also are not thay noticeable as they are so light, no one stares at your eye brows, honestly if I met you I’d not even notice. So both things can be true at once.

id not have her do anything more, I’d get my refund, and just go back to pencilling.

RochelleGoyle · Yesterday 07:28

After you get your refund OP, you may also wish to leave this woman a very honest Google review, with picture evidence! She sounds incredibly unprofessional.

RochelleGoyle · Yesterday 07:30

By the way, please don't let this spoil your holiday. Yes, I can see they are not right, but they are so light, nobody is going to be staring at you.

roastednuts123 · Yesterday 07:45

I was reading this feeling horrified for you but seeing your photos i want to add to what others have said - yes they’re not right, you must get a refund etc. and go elsewhere from this dreadful woman.. but they’re not so bad that anyone who wasn’t looking for a problem would notice so please don’t let it ruin your holiday

Tontostitis · Yesterday 07:51

Pinkclarko · 24/04/2026 22:15

Just to offer my experience: I like mine but they totally disappeared after they’d completely healed and it took about 3 goes (I think) for them to ‘stick’(despite being dark brown). So they might not even show up in a few weeks. Not helpful now when they’ll be temporarily really obvious I realise.

5 years later mine have faded but still not gone

Waterwaterwaterwaterwatercycle · Yesterday 07:55

Having seen the photo, I agree they aren't hideous at all, but I do see what you've described. You should definitely get a refund if possible. Don't let her near your brows again

I think they'll look absolutely fine on holiday too. I hope you fon't feel like you can't enjoy yourself

freaking · Yesterday 08:00

Just another one coming to say they’re really not that bad, could be so much worse but also there is a definite difference in them, but it’s going to be more obvious to you because you’re looking for it. Get your refund and phone around to see if anyone can get you in today

AuntChippy · Yesterday 08:06

They’re definitely not right and she needs to do whatever she can to rectify this. And refund you every penny.

The good news is they’re very light in colour, so not nearly as noticeable as if they were dark.

Blondeshavemorefun · Yesterday 08:26

TryAndGetOutOfThat · 24/04/2026 22:35

I'm so depressed about them

I don’t think they look bad an wouldn’t even give a second glance thinking omfg

but if you aren’t happy then that enough esp for the cost and time took

Unexpectedlysinglemum · Yesterday 08:30

NotTheFreudYoureLookingFor · 24/04/2026 22:45

Just to say, I don't think they look bad! That's not to minimise the upset... Just want you to know that I as a rando on the internet wouldn't have thought twice about them if I saw you in real life. They've definitely nicer than my natural eyebrows!

Edited

I agree

Over40Overdating · Yesterday 08:54

These don’t look too terrible @TryAndGetOutOfThat - we always magnify our own faults but these are so light no one would notice unless you pointed it out.

The good news is that if you keep washing these - make your own salt water - work up a bit of a sweat and generally do all the things you’re not supposed to, these will fade quickly. By the time you go on hols you’ll be able to use pencil.

You can also buy glycolic acid exfoliator very cheaply and use this on your brows every day - it takes off old skin cells and will fade pigment. Don’t start using this until after you are back from holiday though.

In a few months you should have very little pigment left.

AuntChippy · Yesterday 08:57

I’m intrigued - where are your actual eyebrows in this? Does the microblading go on top and around your brows or are they completely drawn on where you don’t have brows? In which case making one so much higher than the other is appalling.
