I was indoors today so felt like something strong. Thameen rivière. I have never been drawn to saffron or leather scents but this is beautiful.

Empressa today from the penhaligon's set. It's ok. Floral, powdery maybe a touch fruity. Nothing earth shattering. Not sure I'm a penhaligon's fan - the only one I have ever rated is Babylon and you can only get that in the full bottle which is over £200. Halfeti was nicer than I thought although not a love.

Still nice to try these things via the sampler and maybe there'll be a suprise in there!

SOTD is my chypre #3 as I forgot to put any on before I left the house and this lives in my bag!

I must blend some more…

Babylon is the only one I'm inclined to get at some point. It's a shame it only comes in a large size.

SOTD is pdm delina la rosee - a beautiful, light weight rose perfume 🌹 perfect for a gorgeous spring day like today 😍💕

Perfumista do a larger size sample I think 9ml in a lovely glass bottle, not sure of the price but i've had it before from them and it was kosher

SOTD is Mojave Ghost original, this is such a beautiful scent and so appropriate for a spring day. Not sure if I prefer this one to the absolu, they are both lovely and I keep returning to them time and time again.

Penhaligon’s Luna today. I needed something restful. Sparkly bergamot and powdery rose. Joint favourite Penhaligon with Babylon.

Not sure if Luna is in the sampler, I will check it out if it is .

Valaya Exclusif again today. It's quite strong for a floral type scent. Very nice in the sun.

Tried Endymion Concentre from the penhal's set. Hmmm, not sure I am a fan of this house in general. Everything smells very blended, very soapy, very like you'd expect a posh country manor to smell.... but it's not me.

Also tried Luna which is better, has a fruity aspect to it also some florals. Nothing approaching a love though.

It’s been so warm and sunny this week that I’ve decided it’s officially spring, and done my seasonal fragrance rotation. I’m planning to refill the Philosykos full size this month, but holding off until the end of the month if I have any spare cash left. Also have a handful of summery samples to keep things varied. Looking forward to wearing my lighter, fresher scents!

Elie saab elixir love. Its a lovely deep rose, with a touch of Cherry. Not a bad price either, would recommend

Dior Ambre Nuit today. - a spicy amber.

I think the recent ouds in the calenders have spoilt me. I now expect better projection for all my perfumes.

The Dior privee line was my first foray into more niche fragrances. I thought it was very special at the time at the time.

I am not into rose perfumes, but I do have and love this one. It is very pretty and perfect for Spring

I have been sick for weeks (chest infection) and I think my sense of smell is impacted or at least reduced. I have sniffed good few new perfumes - the new JPG, the new Escada CK, L'Interdit flanker, the new Ellis Brooklyn and Summer Friday scent etc, le labo violette 30. The only one that I was actually interested in was Tom Forde Figue figue érotique but I feel I need to have healthy nose to try it as it is expensive! Oh I keep coming back to that Versace crystal emerald.

I must try my PDM one got at Christmas. Tomorrow’s adventure I think.

SOTD Byredo Bal d'Afrique, from the box of samples. I like this, it's more floral than I usually wear, and there's an initial orange/mandarin note that keeps it quite bright and fresh. Feels like a good transitional scent, distinctive but still office-appropriate.

SOTD is PDM Delina. I quite like it and it’s lasted well so far. I’m not sure it’s one I will love forever but I don’t object to it!

That sounds damning with faint praise! What I mean is it’s nice but it’s not woody enough for me.

I'm also sick and my sense of smell and taste are off. May give my skin a chance to recover from over spraying. Fig Erotique is indeed lovely.

My favourite perfume. I don't like the absolu, but the original is as close as signature scent I do - if I have to save only one perfume from my collection that will be it

I haven’t posted for a bit as I’ve been trying to use up my dabbers and it’s been quite random. I did wear Kilian Roses on Ice out last night though, which I’d forgotten how much I liked.

SOTD, Vanilla Powder again. I’ve really surprised myself by how often I’ve reached for this. It’s not in my usual profile at all but there’s something I really like about it. My watch strap has been infused from all the wrist sprays, which is rather nice!

I will be smelling vicariously through you all this weekend as Ive lost my sense of smell, I'm bereft. This had only happened before when I've had covid, so im thinking it is that.
