I’m going to try the Vibae sandals. I like the new Fracap style, might be a change from fisherman. The jacquard cotton top looks nice. That’s it. I usually buy a dress around now but nothing for me. I don’t like the still life type print, too much for me.

Hopefully there will be a mid season sale soon.

Countmeout · 04/03/2026 19:33

Terribly disappointing. I, too, would usually get a dress. It certainly makes me glad I’ve kept the blueberry dress.
The fruit print is too much for me too. The blue gingham is not a style I particularly like. I do like a bit of gingham though.

I’m now glad I have bought a few other bits elsewhere for my upcoming holiday. I suppose( hope) there’s more to come but not holding my breath.

Saurus72 · 04/03/2026 19:53

Yes, I was hoping for a dress too. It’s just all quite drab and depressing looking. Not sure when the next drop could be - May?

Countmeout · 04/03/2026 21:06

Must be around then @Saurus72 .
Drab and depressing sums it up. Strange that was the feeling I had went I was in London at Christmas in Dering street. Everything was so dark. Nothing jumped out.

shoppingred54 · 04/03/2026 21:15

the paisley poplin print dress is much more vibrant than those photos on the site. The red really stands out.

ShanghaiDiva · 04/03/2026 21:28

I like the gingham cotton shirt and button through jersey tee.
Will be collecting Dd from uni at the end of the month and will hopefully have time for a mooch around Kilver Court.

ScallopShellWalk · 04/03/2026 21:42

I too liked the blue and white gingham shirt. I’m interested in the dress a little. I want a sunhat, maybe one of the new ones would be good.

Snowyowl78 · 05/03/2026 06:14

i like these trousers, was initially put off because I don’t like the shirt too as a complete outfit but I do like the trousers in their own. No sign of a dropped crotch!

toast keep being insistent on us wearing vegetables and fruit on our shirts. Annoying because I like both the Gia and the Baya but I am really not interested in the grocery theme.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 05/03/2026 13:30

What’s happened to the button through jersey tee? I put it in my bag last night and it’s disappeared today.

Countmeout · 05/03/2026 21:09

I think the websites still in flux @Theteapotsbrokenspout . A tea towel dress has appeared which is quite nice but rather like something I already have.

Maybe more additions will make it seem better than so far.

hicat · 06/03/2026 06:59

I sure do like the yves fracap sandals but can’t allow a second pair in my life when it’s hardly warm enough ever to wear the ola ones I already have!
I already have the waistcoat they’ve brought back in oat(?) but always thought I’d like a dark one too.
Im so attracted to the double tea towel (lol) outfit and how relaxed it looks but I know I’d never look anything like elegant in it! But I covet the dark green and blue striped material. Maybe if I lived in a place like where those photos are taken. Sigh.

Snowyowl78 · 06/03/2026 07:17

@hicat i have that one too- it’s Woodash. Look out for sizing because the Wood ash was S,M, L but the dark ones are 10/12 etc. the Large I had is similar to the 12 apparently. I’ve been waiting for the Anthracite one to go in the sale but it never has!

ScallopShellWalk · 06/03/2026 08:03

I think the tea towel green skirt looks great but it’s not something I would likely buy. I’m quite interested in the light blue stripe skirt but prob wouldn’t buy that either. I like the fig linen apron skirt and the bronze green vest. What I really want though is linen trousers. Maybe the black ones will come in the sale.

ScallopShellWalk · 06/03/2026 08:05

One thing I’ve noticed in the skirts is that the garment waist measurements seem smaller than I recall them being for the size they state.

hicat · 06/03/2026 08:29

Ahh @Snowyowl78 woodash, yes I remember now! And thanks for the heads up about sizing. Since with toast two exact same items in the exact same size can have ~1” difference in shape and sizing I don’t feel too bad about ordering two sizes. I also kept my eye out for it in the sale! But alas. I do like that soft black though…

ScottishMouse · 06/03/2026 09:20

I also have my eye on the soft black waistcoat. I bought the anthracite last year, but the shade of navy was not quite right for what I wanted to wear it with and the soft black would work so much better. I may buy that and sell my anthracite one. I wonder if I can rely on the black being the same sizing as the anthracite 😆🤷‍♀️

faustina · 06/03/2026 10:18

oh I missed the button through jersey tee - will keep an eye out if it comes back. I like the shape of the apron skirts but I'm not such a fan of the colours. I'm not sure there's anything much there I want!

clearsky · 06/03/2026 11:11

@Theteapotsbrokenspout I was about to buy an item after Christmas which was part of a new drop. It then suddenly disappeared and I was told it hadn’t passed QC and so was withdrawn from sale. I has my eye on the button through tee too. I hope it hasn’t suffered a similar fate.

IlovePond · 06/03/2026 11:47

How bizarre @clearsky - you’d think they would have found that out before putting it on the website!

Yes you would think so. My missed item still appears on website photos of other items.

IlovePond · 06/03/2026 12:19

Well, there’s no sign of a Kindred gift so far, or a mini sale, and I have just rung up and it doesn’t look like there will be an Easter sample sale this year either.

If so, it will be the first time in a few years that there hasn’t been an Easter sample sale at KC 🙀

It’s possible that Toast will make an extremely last minute decision, (they have form for this), and announce a sample sale with two days notice, or something equally unreasonable, but I am not holding my breath.

I am feeling a bit disappointed 😢

MsDastardley · 06/03/2026 18:00

Has anyone had items altered to fit, and were you pleased with results. I’ve lost 2st since last summer so a lot of my favourites are now too big. I have a denim skirt that I particularly like but its a size too big. It’s a soft pleated full style with side button fastening. The tailor thinks they could take it in from back and front centre seams. Wondering if it’s worth it or I should let go.

CakeAndJazz · 06/03/2026 18:11

I wonder why there’s no sample sale @IlovePond. I’ve never been but I know they’re always much enjoyed, how disappointing.

I see the button through jersey tops are back on the website for those interested. Not much for me - possibly the short sleeve knitted tops, but am not sure the colours will suit. I was eyeing the Keen sandals last summer as they were very popular - does anyone have a pair and are they as comfy as everyone says?

IlovePond · 06/03/2026 19:22

@CakeAndJazz - I bought a pair of Keen sandals super-reduced in a sale whilst on holiday in Japan. I had been Googling ‘best walking sandals’ a few weeks before and knew they were good. (It was so weird - I saw them from a distance down a side street on a table outside a tiny shop in a tiny town and recognised what they were. The guy was quite surprised to see me leap through the door and buy them!)

Anyway:
On the plus side - they are super-comfortable and I can walk for miles in them.

On the downside: I walked so far in them on that holiday I developed tendinitis!

I have worn them since, but if I over-walk whilst wearing them, my Plantar Fasciitis kicks in as they don’t give a lot of arch support.

They are brilliant sandals; it’s just my legs and feet are not nowadays what they once were 😿

@IlovePond did they actually say no sample sale? I remember calling them last year and they were just very cagey about it saying I had to keep an eye out on Instagram- and then there was one!
