@CakeAndJazz The only way I know is via a link in an email sent by Toast, requesting a review. Completely agree re: finding reviews v helpful. I always comment on sizing inconsistency and declining quality so would be v interested to know how many other people do the same!

IlovePond · 31/05/2026 22:49

@Saurus72 - I am always honest in my reviews but I don’t always get asked to review things.

ScallopShellWalk · 01/06/2026 07:43

@CakeAndJazz for me Toast send an email asking for a review for the item I’ve recently bought. So a review request is sent for each item. I think there’s a time limit on doing so, a few weeks? When you open the link the review form opens with opportunity to give your thoughts and submit. Is that what your asking for? They tempt you by offering to place you in a draw.

Countmeout · 01/06/2026 08:03

Hope your toe is on the mend @faustina . Some years ago I broke my little toe at the same time of year and it was October before I could bear a closed in shoe on it, lucky it was summer. It’s so easily done.

@CoasttoToast , yes I have to agree no one seems to have the same enthusiasm for lives, even styling. I see East have amalgamated with Monsoon - I had a look at East after I heard she was there but it is not my sort of thing really.
Toast also seems to be quite focused on opening stores out of the UK.
At least the current situation is easier on the pocket.

faustina · 01/06/2026 09:47

@Countmeout - thanks. It's slightly easier to walk on now but still really hurts after a very short while. I haven't attempted anything other than flip-flops and fisherman's sandals yet - hoping the weather holds

@CakeAndJazz they send me an email each time asking me for a review (with a draw entry for a lure) - even when it's a Reworn purchase. I wonder why you've never had one? Maybe they go in your spam filter?

I've been trying to buy a linen t-shirt and they're surprisingly thin on the ground this year. I'm not a fan of the ones from Uniqlo or Cos (have one of each). I'm going to pick up two I ordered from John Lewis at my local supermarket today which are reasonably priced and seem to be a nice shape. Very limited colours though

CakeAndJazz · 01/06/2026 10:12

Thanks everyone. I’ve always assumed that you get an email inviting a review on a purchase based on what’s been said on here. But have never ever been asked. I do check my spam regularly as quite a bit ends up there surprisingly. Anyway, I won’t query it with them but thought it would be nice to have my say sometimes (not just bad but many times good reviews are also helpful to others).

Hope you continue to heal up @faustina

faustina · 01/06/2026 10:16

@CakeAndJazz - If you want to do a search, it always says 'Share your thoughts/Enter our prize draw'

CakeAndJazz · 01/06/2026 17:03

Thanks @faustina that worked. I had one request to review my very first order (4 years ago now) and then never again. Oh well!

ScallopShellWalk · 01/06/2026 18:46

@CakeAndJazz I think I’ve had a request to review for every order I’ve made, reworn and anything returned. I even got one to review the kindred gift and before that to review the the postal pass.
You could email them and ask to have these sent out on each purchase.

CakeAndJazz · 01/06/2026 20:09

Might do @ScallopShellWalk thank you.

@faustina did you look at the new season Le Bon Shoppe Owen shirts? Lightweight cotton so not linen but the shape looks nice. I can’t wear collar shirts but have quite admired these.

faustina · 01/06/2026 20:19

Thanks @CakeAndJazz - they do look nice, and they're just the kind of thing I buy by mistake every now and again. I have a really lovely chambray one - just the right shade of blue, not stiff, slightly oversized, by Gap. I spent days searching for it. I haven't worn it once and I'm selling it on Vinted. I've done the same with various other shirts over the years - I never learn!

I'm currently on the hunt for a t-shirt . The JL ones are probably going back, though I'll try them once more tomorrow. They're a nice heavy linen but I think the white is too sheer and the olive colour isn't quite right

CakeAndJazz · 01/06/2026 21:16

Urgh I’m so sorry @faustina I misread your message and thought you said shirt. LBS do have some linen t shirts this season too (possibly too sheer though).

IlovePond · 02/06/2026 08:35

Hi,

There’s a handful of extra items on Reworn, including some shoes.

I vaguely remember someone on here eyeing up the super expensive beaded wrap jacket/shirt. There’s one on Reworn in a tiny size for a relatively bargainous £60:

I have that beaded jacket in that size. It comes up huge if anyone wants to take a chance.
I'm a 14 with wonderful broad shoulders, comes up neat on me. I wear it open as a little jacket.

IlovePond · 02/06/2026 13:53

Thanks @TosstTastic - I have seen it irl and it’s so nice - too short for me, though.

CakeAndJazz · 02/06/2026 14:15

Thanks @IlovePond and @TosstTastic I’ve bought it. I’ve never considered it before but I have a few sleeveless summer dresses and this seems like it might be useful to throw over when I feel like a bit more coverage.

IlovePond · 02/06/2026 16:23

Hope it works out @CakeAndJazz I thought it was a good reduction, assuming it’s in good condition.

Has anyone invested in the alpaca wrap cardigan?
https://www.toa.st/products/wool-alpaca-knitted-wrap-navy
I really liked it when it first appeared in winter, but wasn’t sure how much I’d wear it. It sold out quickly so I thought that was that, but now it’s back. I’m still not sure how I would wear it and if buying knitwear is silly coming into summer (I am trying not to buy out of season as it never works out well for me!). Anyone have anything good or bad to say about it?

ScallopShellWalk · 03/06/2026 08:50

@ScottishMouse I don’t have this wrap but I am still wearing knits or extra layers in some form. I’m in Scotland too, central. The wrap looks to me like it would work as a shawl might, in terms of warmth. It isn’t substantial enough along the arms and neck to be too warm for summer. But I often run cold and always like the option of a bit of warmth. I’m therefore thinking that it may not be totally out of season and you may still get lots of wear out of it when the temperatures drop in Scotland. But whether it is easy to wear, I can’t say.

faustina · 03/06/2026 13:45

Did you do your trip to somewhere hot yet @ScottishMouse ? Hope your clothes worked out well!

ScottishMouse · 03/06/2026 16:18

Yes @faustina i was in Paris at the weekend. It was so freaking hot - 36degrees on two of the days. I didn’t manage to buy anything new to bring, and I didn’t do any shopping there as I was so sweaty. I just brought some old culottes and tees, but anything I would have worn would have felt like too many clothes! I am not built for that heat. I will be away again in another few weeks but should not be quite that hot. Still hoping for a new dress, but although I see new stuff has appeared today, there is nothing at all that appeals.

ScottishMouse · 03/06/2026 16:19

I run warm @ScallopShellWalk and haven’t had knitwear on here for a few weeks now. I’m hoping I don’t need to get it out until September, when it feels like such a treat to enter my favourite season of the year and wrap myself up again. I may hold off on the wrap as I likely won’t wear it over summer and there may be something nicer by autumn.

ScallopShellWalk · 03/06/2026 16:38

@ScottishMouse I think that’s a sensible plan.. It’s probably not really calling you enough either. Def will see nice new things. There’s always nice new things.

Saurus72 · 03/06/2026 16:50

Lots of new things added to the site 🤗

faustina · 03/06/2026 16:58

@ScottishMouse - hope you had a nice time despite the heat. Always worse if it's a sudden change like that!
