Back to M&S after a couple of years off for me this year, I don’t think that we have a thread already?

Usual rules apply, no spoilers before 7am, looking forward to tomorrow! 🎄

I’m not sure about today’s - I like it but I just have a feeling it will fade fast. I can already barely smell it, having put it on at 6.30.

Snackpocket · 16/12/2025 07:37

I use an M&S perfume as my work one so happy to have another!

ThePoshUns · 16/12/2025 07:42

I like today’s and like the smell but as others have said I have a few M&S scents, they smell great but don’t last very long.

olivietolivie · 16/12/2025 07:55

I have a few m and s scents but not this one so I am delighted. I especially love this size as I get bored of perfumes when it’s a big bottle and they feel a slog to finish. These only last a few months and I can chuck in my work or overnight bag.

how are people finding the colour wow thickening treatment? I surprisingly don’t like it - it feels like it really dries my hair out.

I like the thickening thing for this reason - I have greasy hair and this has definitely kept my roots looking fresher and less lank.

evilharpy · 16/12/2025 08:29

Today's just isn't my kind of scent, I don't like florals. I think my mum will like it though.

catsnore · 16/12/2025 08:30

I like getting perfume although today’s is a little too girly for me, it reminds me of a more expensive perfume from the 90s, is it Anais Anais or something like that?

DD (13) has ‘joined in’ with opening the advent calendar and has been siphoning off the things she likes - so far we’ve only argued over a couple of things 😂. She loved the hair clip and lip balm and the only thing we both went ‘meh’ about was the comb and the thin hair haircare. We both have very thick hair so it’s absolutely useless for us.

I tried the shampoo when I first got it (my hair is very thick and wavy) and it left it feeling really nice. It might be worth you trying even though it says it's for thin hair.

My hairdresser told me that all a shampoo can really do is clean your hair, so it doesn't matter what your hair type is. It's other products that are required to make it seem thicker/softer/smoother or whatever.

I've not tried the conditioner.

Yeah I am the same, I used it for a straight blow dry with a heated brush and it was ok but not as good results as some of my other hair products, I want to try it with a more wavy standard blowdry though.

I like the smell of todays perfume but these never last on me which is a shame as the 'sunrise' scent of this brand is one of the nicest things I've ever smelt.

HolidayHattie · 16/12/2025 11:44

I thought I already had today's perfume in a Discover set, but I don't, which is good. Light floral / fruity, ok but nothing special. Better for spring/summer than this time of year. Fading fast.

StrikeForever · 16/12/2025 11:44

The perfume isn’t really me. I will use it as a room fragrance as I have with previous ones. Strangely, although they don’t last on a human, they last well in a room 🤷‍♀️

Newgirls · 16/12/2025 12:16

I much prefer this perfume to the other and don’t mind if it doesn’t last ages as I can find them overwhelming. I think it’s the citrus - it suits me more than the almond one. Lovely bottle too so v pleased with this.

ive used the shampoo and conditioner tho my hair is medium thick and it’s lovely.

not tried the wow stuff yet

Christmaschristmas · 16/12/2025 12:25

@LivingDeadGirlUK I think Sunrise is now White Jasmine if you wanted to rebuy?

SomethingAboutNothing · 16/12/2025 13:15

Today's perfume is lovely, it's a dupe of Marc Jacobs Daisy which I like anyway. I think others are right though, it doesn't seem to last. At least the bottle is small enough you could have it in your bag for respraying through the day.

50ftQueenieeee · 16/12/2025 16:28

I really like the M&S fragrances so I'm pleased with this one. Nice size to go in a bag, although they don't last long they're relatively inexpensive so can top up. I've had a couple of different ones and always liked them as a day to day perfume.

TheUsualChaos · 16/12/2025 22:30

Definitely prefer today's fragrance, really nice. I'm a bit of a cheap date when it comes to perfume anyway as I tend to prefer eau de toilette. I'm so sensitive to perfume as find it overpowering so this is perfect for me. I had no idea m&s did this range. I'll be getting one for DD as well.

Spink86 · 17/12/2025 01:38

I haven't been a fan of either of the perfumes. This one smelled a bit old lady on me! I do find it interesting how the same perfume can smell differently on people though.

I thought it was a bit young for me!

Not opened todays yet, but I’m absolutely delighted with the Benetint, I’ve obviously known about it for years but never actually had any as I’d always thought it would be far too dark, well it’s absolutely lovely on my cheeks, a definite convert!

Not happy with todays but they go well on ebay.

hollyblueivy · 17/12/2025 07:47

I am pleased with today’s as it’s the kind of thing I have seen around loads but wouldn’t have necessarily bought off the shelf so will be good to test. Not sure how best to use it, maybe face at night?

Same here! One that I will definitely repurchase.
Today’s is a bit meh. Nice product that will add to my collection of travel items.

olivietolivie · 17/12/2025 08:37

I’ve just tried today’s after a shower and I’m not a fan of the scent, although my skin feels lovely. I much prefer the rituals dry oil spray

TeamToeBeans · 17/12/2025 08:42

I tried the Nuxe oil this morning as my face seemed particularly dry after I got out of the shower. I may have used too much as it did sit on my skin for a while, but it did eventually soak in. Perhaps better as an evening product. It smells lovely though, I’ll definitely use it.

I’m trying the Benefit lip tint today - I was a bit hesitant with it, was concerned it might be too bold for me, but it looks ok.

TokyoSushi · 17/12/2025 08:56

I'm quite pleased with the Nuxe oil, I use it on my heels when wearing Birkenstocks in the summer!
