M&S beauty advent calendar opening thread

Back to M&S after a couple of years off for me this year, I don’t think that we have a thread already?

Usual rules apply, no spoilers before 7am, looking forward to tomorrow! 🎄

Disappointed with today. Another one for my travel bag.

Looks quite nice, will give it a whirl!

I will give it a go but its very small!

Today’s is nice for the gym bag. I’ve not tried it before so looking forward to it!

Handy size for travelling and will give it a whirl at some point!

Painted my nails last Sunday with the polish from the calendar and it’s still not chipped. I’m impressed as I can usually ruin nail polish in minutes!

I bought the calendar when it was on offer and used all the items as stocking fillers for various members of the family.

I know that's not really in the spirit of the calendar but it worked for me.

I’ve put it straight on - feels very velvety and comfortable

Happy to try the day cream. Some hits so far , but some too samey or limited to those without hair like a lion….. I have hair like a lion…. thickening products are not for me ! There are 3 days of these !! Some nice things but the Nail varnish chipped in less than a day!

Hmm not sure about today. I loved the idea of it but tried a bit on my hand and as it dried all I could smell was patchouli, which I despise.

More fecking body lotion! I will never use this - I shower in the morning, and all I’m fit for at bedtime is crawling into it, not slathering myself up first! Charity shop or food bank for this one.

Overall have been really disappointed with this year’s offerings.

Oh I love this today! I’ve used it before and it’s great after an evening shower or bath. My sleep is shit just now so it’s come just in time!

Urgh today is a dud for me, I already have similar from last year unused. The smell makes me gag. Will put on Vinted.

This is another item that based on the price I would never just buy off the shelf without having tried it first and this is why I love these advent calendar’s.

It’s actually really well reviewed online so interested to form my own opinion.

I liked the body lotion this morning, already used it after my morning shower

My skin is quite dry so always need cream or lotion of some kind after a bath or shower

So far I’ve been using most of the items from the calendar!

DH uses this nightly and it seems to help his restless legs. May be a placebo effect but it works so he's happy!

I’ll try it - I’m lazy with body lotion but this calendar is making me try new things

I've had this before and really liked it as a nighttime handcream.

I put this in the cabinet and realised I have another untouched one from a previous year. I hate body lotion, it's so.... urgh... slippery.

I am a body lotion fiend now I am in menopause and I am drying up like a prune . So this is a win for me . I use it in the evening before bed and I find the smell quite relaxing

This is lovely stuff. Happy with today’s (I also have prune skin!)

I opened this with my 3 year old at 3am. I was tempted to cover him in it to try and get him back to sleep!
