Back to M&S after a couple of years off for me this year, I don’t think that we have a thread already?

Usual rules apply, no spoilers before 7am, looking forward to tomorrow! 🎄

I am absolutely loving having a beauty advent calendar again after a few years off. Already thinking I need one next year. The products are good quality and the kind of thing I’d be reluctant to buy without trying first. The shampoo, body wash and advanced both repair for example, oh and the hair mask. I need to give the advanced night repair time but I know it’s a popular item.

Also enjoying seeing what everyone else thinks of the products on this thread. Found the box first try this morning too!

Has anyone else opened the next day the night before? I’ve done that a couple of times but trying to break the habit!

Chickenwing2 · 11/12/2025 09:10

I’ve been removing the boxes once opened, and it makes finding the next day much easier.

happy to get the matching conditioner, think they should have done them consecutively though!

im loving this calendar, apart from the comb, very happy with everything!

evilharpy · 11/12/2025 09:35

I have actually been using the comb for combing conditioner through my hair instead of just using my fingers, I quite like it!

Puravida23 · 11/12/2025 09:44

To be honest I wasn’t sure about M&S this year but I too have been loving the daily treat . I think M&S do luxe practical very well including stuff that most people will use but just a little bit more luxe and treat like . Happy to get the conditioner today and will give the shampoo and conditioner a try next week

Took me ages to find today's, it was in the last place I looked!

I checked last night and moved it up to open this morning. I’m not at my best at 7am so prepare the night before 😂

HolidayHattie · 11/12/2025 13:11

I had a bath with the Cowshed bubble bath this morning and really enjoyed it.

Glad to have the matching conditioner today but I agree with PP, why wasn't it the day after the shampoo?

I did look at the list of contents before buying the calendar but I've forgotten them all, so each day is a nice surprise.

TabbieMctatty · 11/12/2025 14:23

I've been hoping the conditioner will turn up and here it is! Not for me, but for DD she's been dying to try the shampoo but wanted to wait to use the conditioner too! Immediately swiped it ready to wash her hair when she's back from.school later 😂

sciaticafanatica · 12/12/2025 06:29

Today’s item will be used so it’s an ok item

evilharpy · 12/12/2025 07:04

No use to me unfortunately and I can't see my daughter wanting it, afraid it may end up binned.

TeamToeBeans · 12/12/2025 07:10

Today’s isn’t much use to me but DD might use it, or one of her friends.

I’ve tried the shampoo & conditioner today, they’re not intended for my hair type so didn’t strike me as particularly great, but they do the job. I was glad they weren’t on consecutive days, because I’d hate to open one and then immediately know what tomorrow’s gift was going to be.

MadameSzyszkoBohusz · 12/12/2025 07:11

Another boring-but-useful for me!

ThePoshUns · 12/12/2025 07:27

I accidentally opened today’s yesterday. I have plenty already so may give it away.

RipePeach · 12/12/2025 07:30

This is a bit of a dud for me. I think my daughter will use it but she has a few already. Hoping for some skincare now.

hollyblueivy · 12/12/2025 08:18

I’m pleased with today’s. It’s handy to put hair up if I don’t want to wash my hair but have a quick shower. Also for clipping up and sectional hair drying or straightening.

Fifty50Fifty · 12/12/2025 08:20

My hair is too short for this unless I decide to wear it as a hat. Has gone straight into the bag of bits for my daughter's stocking.

bigTillyMint · 12/12/2025 09:09

I like this, but will only be able to get about a quarter of my hair into it!

RoseTeaLady · 12/12/2025 09:16

My hair is short, so no good for me. Nicely boxed so will go in the charity shop bag.
Shampoo and conditioner are perfect for my hair. I like the brand.

TheUsualChaos · 12/12/2025 09:22

The clip seems quite good quality, another useful for the bathroom item like the comb.

I tried the shampoo and conditioner last night and actually really pleased with results. My hair feels and looks really soft and shiny.

SmashingGemini · 12/12/2025 09:39

I will use today’s as my hair is long. It’s a lovely calendar, I’m preferring it to my more expensive Glossybox one so far!

Why would you bin it? Thats so wasteful, maybe your daughter has a friend who’d want it or it can go to a charity shop.

The clip is no good to me as I don’t have enough hair for one so big but I’ll give it to someone.

greywolfie · 12/12/2025 10:10

I use these kind of clips a lot but, this one is pretty ugly and cheap looking. Did anyone get a nicer colour? Or did everybody get 'cloudy perspex'?

Yeah, useful but ugly. Won’t be leaving the bathroom but it will be used.

suburburban · 12/12/2025 10:21

I don’t mind the clip, it’s a pinky colour but my hair isn’t as long as it was to put it up

StrikeForever · 12/12/2025 10:41

The clip is is very cheap contribution (made in China of course). I find it pretty disappointing for that alone.

The nearest charity shop is 6 miles away, I'd rather not have to spend the time and petrol on trying to save a clip from the bin.
