M&S beauty advent calendar opening thread

Back to M&S after a couple of years off for me this year, I don’t think that we have a thread already?

Usual rules apply, no spoilers before 7am, looking forward to tomorrow! 🎄

It’s my favourite hand cream, I keep a tube on my bedside table to remind me to put it on every night! Will pop this one in my handbag.

I meant to say I used the hair mask last night and hair definitely feels softer today!

Like the hand cream and put the hair mask on last night (I have very fine straight hair) and my hair feels so nice today. Lovely to try these things as it’s not something I’d have previously thought to buy

Not something I have ever used, can anyone advise if it's ok for very sensitive skin?

Pleased with today’s.. love this product

I used it for about a week (opened early) and I had some breakouts. It might not have been the product but, I won't continue just in case. I use a lot of 'clean' beauty stuff and I think this might have been just too rich for me :(

Not for me today, I have a skincare routine that I rigidly stick to. Will give this to my mum.

I’ve never used today’s gift, not actually sure what to do with it. I’ll have a google and maybe give it a try.

Mine also smelt quite funky so maybe it was an old batch?

I have no clue what today’s is…. I thought it was another dark red nail polish. Is it not? You’re all saying skin care….

I’m sure we got a bigger bottle of this in last years calendar. (If not then it must have been in another calendar last year) I used it but didn’t notice any difference.

love the hand cream from yesterday- L’occitane products are lovely.

Today is Este Lauder advanced night repair. You’re making me think a red nail polish is coming though…..

I like this one. I have very sensitive skin but have used this in the past and my skin was ok with it but I'll test a little bit first.

I love having a little treat every day and it's making me try some new things!

I would never have bought this, but tried it and my skin feels so soft and smooth 👍

Hi can I join in late? haven't had an M&S calender for a few years but was gifted one as a surprise which was really kind.

Faves so far are the hand cream and the blossom and bloom oil. I love an evening bath at the end of the week so this was really nice to use.
Waiting for the weekend to try out the hair mask.

Nail varnish bit dark for me but I will definitely give it a whirl, maybe two very thin coats. I'll do a test run and if it looks ok I wear it for Christmas day.

Sadly disappointed with the perfume but maybe it will grow on me. I love the travel sizes as I rarely wear perfume anyway. I still have one going from a previous calender.

Comb is the dud so far, but suppose it's useful for a spare in the bathroom. Found it really scratchy on my scalp so have to use with care!

Personally I like the hidden numbers! Like many of you, I've kept the empty boxes so it keeps the structure. I usually let the DC find the number for me so it's fun for them too.
I would have preferred the box to look more festive though, it's not really something I feel I want out on display so it's tucked under the table!

Me too! Only I thought it was a nail night repair and thought it was kind of boring. I'm excited by skin care though and glad I'm on this threat because clearly I am unable to think for for myself 😂

There was a dark burgundy nail polish on about day 4 - I thought today’s was very similar to that. I think the colour name was deep red or something. Can’t remember the brand name.

as you can tell, I am crap at all things beauty and my advent calendar was gift 🤣🤣🤣

Having googled today’s, I can see it’s a serum. Not sure that was written on the bottle. I am assuming I drop some on and rub it in before bed. I’m quite looking forward to using that, I do have shit skin at the mo. Hopefully it’ll help.

From my googling, I can see EL also do a limited edition Manchester united version 😳 is that a thing? I’ve been living under a rock. Why would you need football symbols on your bottle? Sorry that’s prob a bit off topic.

I guess there must be skincare fans who are super into Man U - enough to make a run of these.

Pleased to get the matching set for upcoming holiday 🥳 I really like the eyeliner. As my first ever beauty calendar I am really enjoying the daily treat.

The boxes aren’t too bad I just lift, look and replace to keep it tidy, and if I happen to see an upcoming one move it to top layer where possible. I’ve no frame of reference though, how do these calendars usually work?

Oh and I also thought 2 days ago was another nail polish until I squinted at the label! Will give it a go.

It’s nice to have the matching conditioner! Will put these in my wash bag for a nice treat next time I go away 😊

Took me ages to find today's, it was in the last place I looked!

Oh bugger it sounds like I’ve opened tomorrows. Will go back for the conditioner!
