I think I’m going to do Harrods & SNK in December, filling the empty drawers with the things from my HN BAC. I’ll also condense what’s left of my HN & SNK FAC.
I will then have JL for either January or February.
How did I end up with so many? I struggled to use all the products from just 2 last year! 🙈😅

Once I start opening, I don’t think I’ll be able to save a calendar for January. At least the fragrance calendars will take us through to 6 January.

No Jadvent for me. And only one calendar. I’m in awe of those of you with more! I think you all need to come and sign up to the beauty hoarders thread if you haven’t already!

(I’m no innocent I hasten to add! Have a couple of edits and two Caroline Hirons kits!)

In my defence, it doesn’t actually say on any of the boxes do not open until 1st December.
So I might have had an Octovent and a Novent 😉

I have the SNK calendar, will join in an opening thread if there is one 🎉🎉.

Also have a DIY calendar, which I need to put the finishing touches to tomorrow. To be honest I’m using the DIY calendar as an opportunity to force myself to look properly at one item every day - an item which would otherwise probably just sit there for months as part of an unwieldy stash.

No Jadvent this year, we are on holiday for most of Jan.

Really looking forward to opening the SNK, it’s my first calendar which has cost over £200 😱. I thought I might have buyer’s remorse, but I’m actually super excited.

Just had a look through my emails and I think this was my first BAC - delivered in 2014!

I’m on a 12 year BAC streak 🤣. No way am I going to add up how much I’ve spent on this ‘hobby’ since then 😱😱😱

I have the liberty advent calendar again this year. Plus - out of guilt - I have bought Mr SkiBunny a whiskey advent calendar. I have 2024 Clarins to open at some point too. Maybe post Xmas.

I can’t believe it’s 1st December on Monday 🙀I haven’t been on these threads as long as some of you, but we seemed to have been talking for ages and then suddenly everything has speeded up and it’s December already.

I’m really going to ‘virtually’ miss you guys!

On a related note:

I was expecting that at least some of the unsold a/c would be reduced/further reduced this weekend, but I haven’t seen anything exciting. (Not that I was going to buy another one!)

The lack of common sense reductions reminds me of last year at the end of December when I found a battered and obviously returned a/c on the counter at SpaceNK. The assistant looked at me gone out when I asked if it was reduced, before she managed to utter a horrified ‘No! We never reduce these!’

I did point out it was nearly January and the box was battered to bits, but she wasn’t having any of it 😹

Excited to get my calendars out today. I’ve spacenk and Harrods - I’ll join those threads (although I did change 5 Harrods drawers).
I could be somehow tempted by another if any good reductions.

Cant believe how quick the 1st Dec has came round! Excited for opening all the beauty treats tomorrow. Will be opening them once ive finished work, i like the fact i have something to look foward to and get me through the day😂

I will also be ordering a new set of drawers at some point, so then i get the task of organising all my bits and bobs, which i do enjoy😂

I’ll be on the Liberty thread - mine has been displayed for a few weeks as it’s so beautiful. I don’t think I could manage to keep my others for Jadvent… I would have probably ripped into them if DH hadn’t looked at me in horror when I suggested it.

my M&S arrived and it’s much smaller than i remember it being.

ive ordered a cheese one for my Dad & a tea one for my Mum so hope they arrive soon.

In fact Im away from tomorrow morning very early for 2 nights so its ok to open a few doors early isn’t it??

I also ordered a cheese a/c the other day for reasons best known to myself, but am not convinced that will arrive as reviews are mixed.

I’m going wild and breaking with tradition by putting the tree up tonight as I will be too tired tomorrow after work and it has to be up by 1/12!

I will retrieve the Rituals wreath from the back room and put it on display but am undecided if I am opening it or not. Ditto the completely unnecessary CB stockings - I may save those for next Xmas but put them out as decs this year.

Excited for the opening threads! 😃 I have Harrods as my main calendar and also Harrods fragrance.

I’ve got my liberty one as usual, the rituals wreath and M&S. I also had the glossybox but I opened that in full on Thursday to cheer myself up as I’ve been unwell. I’ve made dd a Frankenstein one with last year’s liberty box. Some items were to big so I’ve wrapped them up and put a note in the drawer to pick a present from under the tree. Dh has Bon mammon one DS has degusta, the other has hotel chocolat and both of their girlfriends have asos. We’ve also got chuckling cheese and the usual chocolate ones from grandma. I honestly don’t know where we will put them all. I’ve bought so many edits stockings and crackers too. My favourite being the jarrods one. The giraffe make up bag is beautiful.

Thanks @IlovePond, Twinings tea calendar ordered just in time for tomorrow! I can't even feel guilty about that one for £5.99. It will go perfectly alongside Harrods BAC for me, Pi Hut coding for DH (plus kids), kinder for little DS and a DIY crochet/crafting/mini ornaments/funny cat stickers one for DD, all in my Avant box which is beautiful. Can't wait for tomorrow!

Looking forward to the opening threads! I have H&B and Korres and DD has Rituals and Haribo (I did suggest she might be getting a bit old for that, but she was horrified). And we have cheese for the whole family, which is very exciting.

Lots of calendars getting ready for tomorrow. I’m going to clear space on the unit beside my dressing table for my Boots skincare one later. Then I’ll probably forget to open it tomorrow and end up having to go back upstairs. Happens every year. I eventually get into the habit of remembering every morning by about the last week! I don’t think I want to have it downstairs though.

DH has a whisky one and DS has a Cadbury’s one.

Yes, most of them are "12 days of Christmas" which takes you through to 5th Jan.

Ooh, I will open my refilled Clarins 12 day from Xmas Day. It’s mostly GWP that I told DH to put in random drawers, but he’s got three or four drawers to do himself. That will give him longer to sort himself out as I caught him sheepishly online shopping yesterday, wondering if things were going to arrive for Monday!

I am opening Liberty on Monday, (still can’t get over the price), plus my DIY refilled Shiseido. There’s no excuse for not liking what is in that - as I was the one who filled it!

Rituals is coming out but I am not sure about opening it. It seems a bit daft to open a Xmas wreath in January and it’s very bulky to store for next year but I don’t need to open more and it would make sense to save it for next year.
