Not long now! Hello to everyone gathering themselves for The Opening 😃

I'm ready with Boots skincare and LF fragrance. Keeping one for Jadvent but not decided which yet. If there are any remaining deals as end of November payday approaches, I might be tempted.

I feel pretty tame with my Glossybox. I have cheated and ordered some extra bits off Vinted to add to some of the boxes though. Not long to go now!

Good luck @BakeOffRewatch with pregnancy, ❤️ as a first timer to this crazy world it’s been a joy . I’ve got two young daughters 10 and 7 not quite ready for the beauty a 31 year old boy who’s forgotten all the grooming I’ve installed in him as a boy 😂 . But I am ready and prepared for next season thanks to this thread 🙌🏽

And as a now older more tired mum who honestly has no energy or inclination to go out or party or do anything after 8pm 🤣 looking after my southward declining face and body is my new hobby . I never knew how interested I could be in fragrance that has been a joy and a revelation 🥰.

Glossybox will haunt me this year 😆 but I have done well and no regrets . I’ve paid full price for the ones I wanted but that’s ok because the joy of them is worth it . I’m actually more excited for my mum to start on hers because I’ve forgotten what I put in it ,It will be hysterical and soul destroying in equal measures no doubt . But I will be smelling of something and beautifying for the next few months thanks to this thread .

I am very much leaning towards putting the Rituals wreath out as a decoration this year, but not opening it until Xmas 26.

For this year I have Liberty, (with a couple of subbed doors and one or two with a couple of extra items shoved in), my DIY refilled old Shiseido, (it seems like a VERY long time ago that I was putting that together!), plus an old 12 day Clarins that has been mostly filled up with unnecessary edits and GWP but with a few doors for DH to complete.

Thanks to the enabling Beauty Chat thread I also have some CB stockings and the Korean suitcase, (I had completely forgotten about that until the other day!)

I am definitely going to aim for no/low spend once Xmas is over. I did manage to restrain myself from raiding Aldi today when their wonderful beauty products dropped, so that’s a start…

Are there many of us with boots premium, or is it a waifs and strays job

I’m still checking Vogue but I don’t think I’d actually buy it unless it was ridiculously discounted so it’s a fantasy AC, as is PDM. I’ll be on the waifs and strays with my Elle as I’ve opened the perfume ones. I always intended to buy them as an edit rather than an AC.

Elle to share with dd. To try a few new products/things that are usually out of my price range. Except I forgot I’d got this to share with her and also bought her ok beauty so she’s done very well 🫣. We will probably swap a few bits from them all tbh along with ds’ girlfriend.

What is on people's Christmas lists?

I know I'm getting (as I ordered them 🤣) the Fox hourglass palette with matching brush and the Lancome holiday box. I also know my husband has the PDM calendar. I know my husband will hate only wrapping up 3 presents, he likes to get me a little stack, so I'll probably end up with a load of tat that I'll chuck next year 🙈 maybe I should find some tat that I wouldn't mind getting 🤣

My mum normally spends approx £100 on a main present for me, I'm not sure what to ask her for as everything I want, I just keep buying myself 🙈 I asked her for the dior holiday palette last year, but this year, I've bought the stuff from the holiday collection that I wanted. She's actually not asked me for ideas yet though, so maybe I'm getting a lump of coal this year 😈🤣 my 4yr old niece does always say 'you're naughty auntie jo' 🙈

@IlovePond I’m in awe of your self restraint if you can keep your Rituals wreath out for Christmas and not open it! 😮😮. I’m ok at not opening mine but that’s only because they are completely out of sight - I would never trust myself not to tamper with them if I could see them every day!

Is 6 DoDs too many for LIB?

11th hour plea! I have HN fragrance and Nuxe. Nuxe is 24 days and HN is 12. This feels odd for me and I'd like another 12 days to even it up. I'm aware of All Beauty and Jarrolds. I'd get All Beauty but it's currently back up to £74 when I know a couple of weeks ago it was £54, so reluctant to pay full price. Jarrolds is a strong no, too many DOD. Can anyone recommend any other 12 day calendars please?

If those 6 are the high value items, then I'd say yes, too many, but if they're mostly fillers, then no, go for it 😊 it has over a third off it so I think 6 Dods is OK. Have you watched any unboxings of it? I think miss boux on YouTube has a vid, so the items may be in with something else that you're excited about so it may not be a dod after all 💁🏻‍♀️

There's the spacenk fragrance advent calendar, the revolve 12 day, l'oreal 12 day or the clarins one. If I think of any others, I'll come back 😊
