I bought my elderly DDad a cheese advent for his early December birthday last year, thinking it was a genius gift. It completely passed him by, he ripped through it on his birthday and said it took up too much space in the fridge 😂

There's 10% cashback atm on Topcashback John Lewis purchases (Home, beauty and fragrance I think it is)

Edited.. scratch that. Must have just been yesterday. Seems to be only lego and toys today. Boo!

Is it time to start thinking about the opening threads? I have started the Waifs and Strays one in the last few years. Happy to do it again, but also more than happy for someone else to host it this year.

Anyone else keen?

I was tempted as well. I was gutted after it sold last year as I had intended buying it. But this year's £20 increase put me off. I added it straight to my basket but when I looked properly was disappointed with the sizes so held off. A few of them I dont think ill like so debating buying some larger sizes I like the sound of in the sale.

My Jarrolds Wild Night In edits arrived. One for me and one for a friend. Really pleased with it.

The Jarrold bag is so lovely isn’t it @Peridot1 Will you try the t- bar thingy? I’m in 2 minds whether to try it out or flog it off unopened

It is lovely @wohmum. I think I’ll give the bar thingy a go. Memories of my mother - she used to have a Slendertone facial toning device years ago - in the 70s and she often used it while watching tv. (Yes I get my skin care obsession from her!)

I'm the same, I was initially excited and intrigued by it and now I just wonder if I actually will use it after the initial use 🤔 they're not selling for much on vinted though, I've looked 😕

Just had an email from Vogue saying last chance to secure your advent calendar. It's back in stock and back to full price 🙄

My Vogue calendar still hasn’t been delivered - ordered 21st November. Delivery was supposed to between 24th and 30th November. FedEx have contacted to say delivery will be on 3rd December. I am not impressed.

I’ve emailed but the email address Vogue give for the calendar is inactive and the normal email address is only monitored in office hours. Vogue has quickly turned Bogue -us.

@Addictedtobeauty I was about to post and ask if anyone who ordered last weekend had received theirs?
Mine is the same as yours although I ordered on the 22nd, delivery now expected the 3rd which is really poor these days when things quite regularly get delivered next day.

It makes me feel so much better that it’s not just me! Serves us right for not being de-influenced by Ova’s frankly brilliant efforts 😂.

I'm shocked at the tardy delivery from Vogue. I mean, if you're going to charge that much for a BAC I'd expect ND delivery.

I suppose there's always J'Advent to open it. 😁

If you click the actual delivery link mine shows for delivery on Monday. Despite it saying the 3rd in comms.

Hmm, that's not good that they're late sending out the ACs that are meant to be opened from Monday. I suppose the good thing is that you get to open a load of days when you go get it 🥰

What has everyone put aside for Jadvent?
I am tempted to get one more - no I don’t need it but will be nice to have one to open in January.

@MrsBnow12 I've got a StyleKorean Jadvent, as I ordered late and it's not going to be here for Monday. I absolutely did not need it, but you know... 😁

I've put my adapted SNK one out on display this afternoon. Can't decide whether to open Harrods at the same time or open after the 25th.

Finally caught up - again 😂.. thanks so much to @BakeOffRewatch and everyone for such thoroughly lovely and entertaining chat over the last few months! I cannot believe we're nearly there .. drumrollllllll .. enjoy the opening everyone!!!

I think libertyv as i have a Space nk im hoingvto open from mon. Also have a hn and space nk fragrance, so unsure which to do first as my 2nd one. 🤣

I put my Harrods one out today, very much looking forward to opening it now and having an opening thread if there are enough of us interested. I haven't taken anything out, even the item I know I'll never use, but I did add in all the freebies from the Beauty vault event so there are no DOD's now. My other 'calendar' will be a stocking filled with the exciting bits from edits I've bought over the year, some luxury staples and some BF treats, so it'll be very useful but a bit safe / dull maybe. Or maybe not, I've forgotten a lot of it!

I put my Liberty one out today, it’s BEAUTIFUL! I’ve not been on here for ages, is there a Liberty opening thread?
