Aaargh!! WTF have they done?!

it was terrible before but now it’s going to be absolutely impossible to find the right size.

now if I want a size 14 I can only choose medium which will show me all size 12 and 14s. 🙈🙈

Just had an exchange with customer service

suffice to say it was pointless
ill email the ceo in the morning

VanCleefArpels · 23/11/2025 09:07

Perhaps not pointless if they get very many messages saying the same thing

PinkFootstool · 23/11/2025 10:20

I've sent feedback on different elements now five times and I'll keep sending it until they listen.... The size chart for women's clothing is a joke.

HumBumBum · 23/11/2025 14:49

I’‘ve got a couple of things that I’m ready to sell but I don’t want to have to go through all my old listings and change the sizing (currently stuck on holiday mode). How long do you think they‘ll take to switch the sizing back to how it used to be? If it’s still like this in Jan, all my old stuff is going to the charity shop .

SilenceInside · 23/11/2025 14:55

@HumBumBum I really don't think they are going to change it back. Even if they did, they would cause chaos in the same way as changing it did - people who have updated their listings would then need to edit each one and change them back again. Plus, the reason for doing the change was to force the UK listings into the same format as the US ones, so that they could merge the two sites, and US listings are now live on Vinted. They aren't going to back that out at all. So, I would assume that nothing is going to go back to how it was.

You could change a few of your old listings each day, until they're all updated. Unless you've got hundreds of items, it wouldn't take that long to update them all.

WildLeader · 23/11/2025 15:16

Ok, but how are we supposed to know that a size 10 is a size 10? It’s like looking do a needle in a haystack

i refuse to believe that this “system” works in the US, it’s impossible

WildLeader · 23/11/2025 15:17

It’s not just about amending the SML transition, it’s about telling what size it is from the filtered selection

RiderOfTheBlue · 23/11/2025 15:25

Has anyone seen a live US listing? What sort of postage costs are being quoted?

SilenceInside · 23/11/2025 15:28

@WildLeaderoh I totally agree. It sucks it really does. I struggle to find anything in the size I want, it’s time consuming to have to manually check each item in case it’s the right size. If people have put the specific UK size in the title then it at least comes up when you hover over on the desktop website. But the app doesn’t do that, so no way of telling until you click into each item.

My point was just from a technical point of view, they have well and truly messed up the UK site, but it’s going to be very hard for them to revert it back whilst they have US and UK items together. And they also don’t seem to have any interest or desire to change it back.

SilenceInside · 23/11/2025 15:32

@RiderOfTheBlue you can spot US listings by the odd prices due to the currency conversion eg I’m looking at an item with a price of £7.73. The postage is just £2.32 but I think Vinted are absorbing the customs costs initially. Goodness knows why they think that’s a good idea.

RiderOfTheBlue · 23/11/2025 15:46

@SilenceInside Thanks. So on that listing the shipping fee is £2.32 and the import fee is covered by Vinted. But surely it costs more than £2.32 to ship something from USA, even without the import fee. So who's paying the actual shipping cost? Am I being dense?

Vinted sizing change!!
SilenceInside · 23/11/2025 15:55

I think either they’ve done some deal with the couriers and are getting a good deal based on projected numbers, and/or they’re absorbing all/some of the costs themselves. Maybe because they think that eventually it will be popular enough to make them money.

But, I don’t want to buy second hand clothes from the US. I don’t know their brands or the quality of those brands, I don’t know their sizing. I don’t like their fashion. Never mind that it’s mad to ship such low value items half way across the world!

RiderOfTheBlue · 23/11/2025 16:02

Yeah maybe they'll be bringing the parcels over in bulk.

I won't be able to buy any US items even if I wanted to (which I don't) because I can only get things delivered by royal mail so it's really annoying that I won't be able to filter these out. It already annoys me that you can't filter on delivery method.

mummabubs · 24/11/2025 11:14

Gutted as I've been a regular user of Vinted for years -buying and selling but overnight it's become unusable for me. I'm a UK size 10-12, but as that's no longer a search option at all it would mean looking at both S and M listings and then having to manually checkout every listing that I like to see if it's an 8, 10, 12 or 14. It's just not worth it as a buyer. I tried to look for a skirt today and gave up after less than 2 minutes because I got bored/frustrated having put the S/M size filter on and found 3 listings I potentially liked but none are my size. Really hope Vinted recognise what a poor choice this has been and revert the sizing back.

SaddlebagSal · 24/11/2025 11:29

I’ve not been able to find anything I want to buy recently, the choices have been really low whereas previously I had tons of returns on my searches. I suspect that is because sellers are on holiday mode/not selling at the moment.

sequinpanties · 24/11/2025 11:46

Was browsing yesterday. Looked at something and it was from New York 🙄 Can we adjust settings so we don't see this ?

SilenceInside · 24/11/2025 11:51

Nope, Vinted don't want you to be able to exclude the US sellers. The only way is to look out for odd prices (eg £5.37) due to the conversion between USD and GBP, or to click onto the seller details and check their location, which is a right faff.

Most of the US stuff is brands you won't have heard of either.

sequinpanties · 24/11/2025 11:59

Thank you @SilenceInside

WorriedRelative · 24/11/2025 12:49

I've given them a one star review on the app store due to the changes, perhaps enough of those might make them take notice.

Frustratingly if you report an item listed with the wrong size they just say it isn't breaching community standards

HumBumBum · 24/11/2025 14:42

I‘m just not interested in buying anything from America, why would I? I don’t live there, it’s insane that of all the countries that Vinted operate in they’ve lumped us in with them and not say, France?

(I don’t want to buy second hand stuff from France either - unless their sizing works better?!)

Unfortunately that might be one of the few comms channels that might actually get their attention. Looks bad to the investors - direct messages to Support can go unmentioned.

PinkFootstool · 24/11/2025 16:05

Have added to the Play Store reviews - quite a few mentioning the problems with sizing and international shipping, including some people in EU countries who also want domestic only options.
