The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

I suspect: ‘due to sell out v soon’ is the message SNK and the like are giving out to influencers. Then it becomes a reality when they pass it on, because people succumb to the fear of missing out.

SNK must be feeling pretty sick about their stupid marketing/FOMO tactic about timed entry to be able to buy, when it hasn’t sold out yet, (but it will at some point, I suppose.)

I get it’s popular, but it’s not got the resale value/appeal to dealers to do a Harrods Fragrance and sell out in an hour!

I still don’t want it 😹

Has anyone received the Cult Beauty? I’m interested to hear the quality of the box, given the comments about Space NK box being flimsy.

I’ve been using the MZ Soothe & Smooth Hyaluronic Brightening Eye Complex from 2024 Liberty BAC for a month now and I can really see a difference. A big difference. It’s worth £120. A little goes a long way so I can see it lasting me until end of January. So that made me look at the Harrods again as it’s in there.

I got a few plastic make up trays/containers from Amazon Haul today and spent quite a while tidying up the horde.

I managed to bring myself to chuck out a few things that were definitely past their best and I have moved some stuff to the bathroom where it will get used!

However, I am once again reminded that I could make a/cs for the street and still have too much stuff 🙈

But why do I have lots of moisturiser, enough cleansers, lipsticks, mascara, lip balms, eye pencils to last until the next millennium, but am on my last eye cream and eye serum???

It’s a mystery.

my space nk arrived today …I do like it and had a quick peek in the drawers (just to check of course ! ) …my 14yr sat with me as I did it and she loved it as it had lots in it for her so now thinking it’s a perfect xmas pressie for her (minus the medik8 / tatcha and few other ‘mature skin ‘ bits for me 😉) ….so as i sit here with reading that harrods is on low stock with a glass of wine in hand , im thinking …I can justify another advent calendar 🤔😂😂….

I am leaning towards buying the Shiseido a/Cs again if I can get a good deal on it, (no way am I paying £185).

I held off buying eye cream today on the off-chance that Shiseido may have an eye cream in it and that they might have some deals/GWP like last year.

I will definitely buy the EL BB if they drop the minimum purchase.

Other than that, it’s looking like my DIY calendar will be the way forward!

@BakeOffRewatch - I bought that eye cream from eBay and it arrived today. Unlike my other purchases this week, I don’t think it had been opened, so I have put it in my DIY calendar.

It’s nice to know it’s a good one!

@IlovePond - I liked the MZ eye cream so much from Liberty's calender last year that I bought it twice again from sellers on ebay. It really is good.

Intrugued by HN Fragrance AC. Anyone know a release date for this?

The website now says HN fragrance will go on sale on 14 October, but it doesn’t say whether there’s early access for rewards members.

I like to guess cost and I bumped it up because Byredo is pricey. Still only went for £450 though 😂

That’s me too. I ran out Vit C serum now so should just buy some now. Not look at ACs that I would choose not to open until December. I’m waiting for the AC hype to die down and some winter skin brightening edits to come in - sure they’ll have one. I think the retailers withold the edits until ACs are mostly sold as we used to get Liberty September Director’s or Founder’s Edit early on in September.

@BakeOffRewatch - do you like MZ's smell? what kind of consistency does this cream have?

I read great reviews but RRP is too steep so bought it on Vinted from a 5* seller who had several Harrods AC items. The cream arrived, packaging looked legit, but the cream itself is a bit strange, not quite homogenous I'd say and I'm not sure about smell.

Has anyone had a delivery update from their Elle BAC order?

My pending transaction seems to have disappeared from my bank account and the website doesn’t seem to have a status update although I can see my order

Ooh that's the first time I've actually looked at Elle and I have to say I really rather like it. It was never even on my radar either. Good range of products, some favourites in there from my point of view. No scary lipstick colours. Pretty box. Good price. Hmm. I might have to do a little clear out today to make a bit of space.

I’ve ordered the Elle BAC, I received an email on Friday to advise it’s on its way, I ordered 7 days prior and the transaction showed as pending for 1 week.

I’ve just ordered ELLE too. I wanted a second one & this seems such good value with decent products 🙂. Definitely didn’t need it but looks too good to pass by!

That doesn’t sound like the cream I’ve got. It’s a whipped cream texture and consistent in the pot. There’s not really a smell but there is a fragrance, it’s not unfragranced if that makes sense.

I'm another fan of this eye cream. It’s definitely all one consistency, kind of whipped cream And no overpowering smell, it’s kind of sweet but not horrible. I wonder if you’ve sadly got a faulty batch? I’ve bought 2 more as I love it so much, also from Vinted, and just checked them and they’re the same.

I’m going to dig my MZ eye cream out from last years Liberty Calendar now. I haven’t tried it but sounds great from the reviews!!

My newly arrived MZ cream also looks whipped and I didn’t notice any unpleasant smell.

Just checked my MZ eye cream from Vinted and it has a whipped cream texture and no real smell so hoping it is genuine. I have one in my Harrods calendar so will compare when I open it
