The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

@Birdy65 personally I would go for diptyque …its stunning and i lurked in space nk yesterday testing the scents in their and really loved them all …jo malone is good too (i’ve had it before but diptyque has the edge imo) …

I’ve just been looking at the Jo Loves scents online and lots of the names don’t hugely appeal re sounding quite intense and/or fruity. Is this the case?

I’m after the Jo Loves advent Calendar . I’m doing it completely blind as I don’t know her products and I’m doing it based on that I’ve only just bought her Amber / Lime / Bergamot diffuser and it’s lovely .

I’ve had some jo loves in the past and tried a lot of them and some are lovely and some not so ( and i’m easy to please scent wise) …so find it a bit hit and miss

There are people queuing up in the pouring (torrential) rain for a Jo Malone stall outside Selfridge's! This thread is making me think it's advent related 🤣

i find the fragrances don’t last well too.

Just got home after dropping youngest off to begin his new Uni adventure and both H&B and SNK were waiting for me. I just don't have the energy to to even peek at them right now. A lot of boxes and 3 flights of stairs to his flat has done me in. 😆

I heard back from SNK about the damage, they have offered to put £10 on my NDulge account as compensation. There doesn’t seem to be any problems with the contents, but think I will check before getting back to them.

Has anyone received the email from Really Ree about sales of calendars and quantities left?

I did get the a Really Ree email. I’m sceptical she will know the actual stock levels though. It will be interesting to see if it is true and SnK sells out this weekend. Then I might believe the info on the others.

I could see SNK selling out fairly quickly. It's probably the most appealing out of a slightly lacklustre bunch this year. I think it's on a par with Liberty value wise but the Liberty brands are a bit more niche and less likely to appeal to the younger crowd.

I’ve just seen the Byredo calendar. It’s £650 and includes 4 2ml samples! 😮

I’ve had the Jo loves calendar before and I really liked it. It was a nice mix of scent, candles and creams. It was easy to sell the scents I didn’t like, but the ones I did like didn’t seem to last long on me (but that might just be me). The candles were great tho, I treat myself to a Jo loves Christmas Trees candle every year! And they normally have good freebies on Black Friday!

The Elle BAC is on offer for £109 via Hearst direct I'm tempted but I've already purchased Liberty AC, the Lancome beauty box, H&B AC, M&S beauty box and a Bird and Blend tea AC (beauty from within). I'm also waiting for Fenwick BAC release. Managed to talk myself out of ordering the Jo Loves AC, but it's still calling me. This thread will bankrupt me 😀

Thank you @Caggie09 and @Addictedtobeauty 🙏 . Influencers and bloggers are another aspect of promo and marketing so I think they are being fed info. Accuracy dependent on retailer - I bet Harrods sold out already and they’ll cancel a few
