Anyone want to talk Autumn shopping wish lists?

I know it’s not even August yet, and I’ve still not gone on my summer holiday yet - but there’s a chill in the air, I’ve packed a box of freshly picked blackberries in the freezer for autumnal crumbles and while looking for school uniform today, noticed quite a few burgundy items in shop windows.

So what’s on your autumnal shopping list?

Im after a pair of black knee high boots. (My old ones finally had to be retired last year, beyond what could be repaired.)

I’ve just bought a dark brown cashmere jumper on vinted. Am now going to start the hunt for the perfect dark green cashmere jumper or cardie.

I think I need new work trousers but not sure what shape we’re doing this year. (Wide leg ? That doesn’t work well with puddles.)

Anyone else with a list for when the new season starts arriving in the shops?

I’ve just had a real Vinted win with some black leather trainers 😀

I’ve also been looking for a winter coat in the sales, but nothing has been quite right yet.

Not got A List yet but I do like a jumper or two .
I have a dark grey fine cable knit that I bought early this year (not worn it yet)
I don;t wear suede/leather/down/feather or wool so it can be tricky .

This skirt. I’m hoping it has a cool asymmetric shape when worn and not a random flap of material hanging there, but maybe that is why it’s so heavily reduced. It does annoy me when they don’t show photos on an actual person.

I’ll join, I’ve had a cardigan arrive from vinted today and have made a list of what I have ( lost a fair bit of weight so keeping a check on what fits) I’m reliably informed by my fashion degree student daughter that brown and spots are in trend for autumn!

Got my a smart navy trench coat in John Lewis sale last week. Now I need;
a couple of smart jumpers
some bootcut jeans
Some straight leg work trousers
A pair of dark brown wedge boots.

I tried that jacket on this weekend, and in a rare show of restraint didn’t buy it immediately - I am definitely going back for it, has been calling me ever since.

Actually another I could do with, a thin dark brown belt.

I was thinking I need some new black ankle boots with kitten heels. Then I though I should probably check my black ankle boot stash and, yes, I already have a pair of black kitten-heeled ankle boots 😳

I'm okay for work clothes this year but I've ordered some casual stuff over the last few days. These two for starters.

This jumper is a thing of beauty! 😍 But I remember the same jumper going into the sale last year (yes, exactly the same one!) so it might be worth holding out to see whether it is reduced again.

Definitely have a look on Vinted for DMs - tons on there for great prices. I just got a cream/beige pair for 38 quid in near perfect condition, with the bonus that the few times they have been worn will have broken them in a little already

I feel like they’ve opened up so many more outfits now, having them to wear with things that I feel my black ones are a bit heavy for.

Love autumn as a fashion season best of all and have lost a lot of weight due to WLI in the past year.

Want to buy some smart work clothes and maybe some shoe- boot type things.

Possibly a coat, something wool and belted.

@IDontHateRainbows well done on your weight loss, it’s such a great feeling needing to buy new clothes.

My latest Vinted purchase has arrived- a Zadig & Voltaire blazer with staple details on the pocket and cuffs. I love it and it will get a lot of wear before autumn as the office is generally freezing all year round.

I’m just starting to browse. I’ve spent the last ten years overweight and the last five years or so obese and wearing a capsule wardrobe of basics. After a few months on mounjaro I’m 2.5 stone down so while not there yet I’m finally back to where I was about 8 years ago and want to revamp for back to school in sept. Looking forward to seeing everyone’s lists!

Thanks but I can honestly say it was no effort at all thanks to mounjaro so I'm not sure I deserve a well done! I get half way through a meal and can't go any further,sweet stuff tastes disgusting now.

I know some people count calories or follow a plan but I have to force myself to eat some days. But it is lovely finally fitting into clothes and losing the giant muffin top.

@Fairislesweater congratulations on your weight loss! I was in your position 2 years ago (now 2.5 years on Rybelsus and Mounjaro) and it’s been so much fun buying things because I love them and not just because they fit. It also started my love of Vinted as I didn’t want to spend a fortune when I knew I would lose more weight, so bought on there and then sold it back on when it became too big.

I want a denim shirt dress, mid calf A-line skirt, quite loose fitting with a tie belt, not too heavy. I have a black linen one that I’ve worn endlessly this summer and I fancy something similar for Autumn.

Some tan ankle boots would be nice and maybe a cardigan in some kind of chunky knit.

Last yr I got a longline burgundy waterproof coat
Thick cream Arran type fat face jumper and khaki green fat face ankle boots.
Already got brown and green cords.
Treated myself yesterday to addidas black suede trainers with silver striped bits to go with black trousers on trips to London.
Trying to get inspiration as I'm turning 59 in the autumn and want a revamp after the dark jeans and a cotton top menopause era.

Thank you! Like @IDontHateRainbows said it’s hard to take credit when medication is involved, but it’s so nice to put things on and they fit. I hadn’t realised how much I missed that.
