Thanks. I’m thinking I might opt for the hardier Donegal cardigan instead. I like the shape of the Eden cardi more, but I know the pilling will just annoy me.

@ScottishMouse - no harm in asking - they might say yes. Also, if you just wanted a different size, it would be stupendously unreasonable for them to refuse to allow an exchange

I've been thinking of buying some of the Vibae mules or slippers but I ended up on Trustpilot (because I'd really like the closed toe in tan and Toast don't seem to have them). Anyway - lots of very cross people complaining about terrible quality and awful customer service. I know some of us on here have them and would love to know if you're still happy with them after wearing for a while?

Also, would I be stupid to buy a linen skirt now (it's the garment dyed linen wrap skirt), in mid-August? When does the next sale usually happen?

@faustina - I picked up a linen dress at sale price 26th Sept last year. One of their short sales I think (Thurs - Monday).

@faustina I bought the tan Vibae mules from Toast at the end of last year, although I only started wearing them in the spring. I find them really comfortable and haven’t had any trouble with stitching, or found any other defects. I do wear them mostly indoors, and I look after all my shoes, cleaning and conditioning them regularly.
Probably expensive for a pair of slippers but I really like them and for me they’re worth it. Although I’m not sure I would have bought them directly from Vibae reading the Trustpilot reviews.

Thank you @Theteapotsbrokenspout - I really like the tan ones but they only have them in men’s sizes at Toast. The reviews are quite something aren’t they!

@faustina after I bought some Vibae mules from Toast I wanted some closed toe fisherman sandals that were only sold directly from Vibae… I ordered with a discount as new customer (all good) until I realised that because I am Uk that I would be hit with extra customs costs etc. I emailed and explained and they cancelled my order - and the refund was almost instant! So although I saw the reviews after I had ordered and was very dubious, my experience was good. (Although no sandals)

Thank you @Popplebop - I think they have the fisherman sandals at toast now - they look lovely but I already have some very similar. Did you buy the open toe mules, or the backless closed toe ones? How are they wearing?

@faustinai bought the dark brown open toe mules and they are still lovely & comfortable BUT I think the top strap part is looser then when I got them. I only wear barefoot but I do think they give.

I sent mine back as I found the leather to be extremely thin, I could actually see the outline of my toenails .
Glad I did now
I really wanted to like them but I felt the quality was poor for the price

@Poplinskirt - at least when we buy from Toast it's easy to return - even, hopefully, if you've had them a few weeks and they start to come apart. It sounds like some people who bought direct weren't so lucky!

I have both the closed and or open toe @faustina . No complaints. Bought them both from Toast and the mules have hardly been off my feet this summer both in and out of the house. I have now bought a dark brown closed pair for winter directly from Vibae. I am toying with the idea of the boots as they are so comfortable.

@ScottishMouse Toast have refunded me before when it’s been over the returns period because the item was still on sale in the shop full price. I rang the customer services though and they relayed the message to the store rather than waiting to see what they said when I went in. IIRC it was about 10 days over!

Thanks @AFingerofFudge. I think I will just hang onto it, it’ll work oversized, and I won’t manage to get to a store until next week so that will really be too late.

@ScottishMouse hello, I have taken something back over the 28 days and they refunded me no problem. That’s what I love about toast, they have great customer service. I had bought in store so called the shop to explain and they said, no problem, bring it in. It’s worth asking.

i agree that the customer service at Toast is great and it will keep me a loyal customer. I just returned some faulty sandals to Salt-Water, recorded, at my own expense. I contacted them to ask if postage would be refunded as they were faulty and I’ve had no response. (Edited to add- AND they charged me a ‘restocking fee’. Restocking faulty sandals?) This experience has genuinely put me off buying from them again.
Getting back to Toast- is anyone else having trouble with the website? When I try to look at ‘all’ clothing it shows me 7 pairs of trousers, and if I filter for all knitwear it only shows me the sweater stone.

@faustina I have that skirt on my wish list, but have noticed it’s out of stock in my size now. I’ve not bought any summer pieces this year, so would have had to be a sale buy for me. Please report back what it’s like if you do manage it, as I might chance it in another size.

@OrangeyLemon - I think that's actually against the law if it's a UK based company. If you go to the Trading Standards website they should have a template email to send the company.

I'm wondering if I was sent a faulty pair.
There's no way I would have considered wearing them outside.
I can only describe as the thinnest handbag leather for that treasured bag you use occasionally and store carefully.
I also have nice feet, although large they are slim with no gnarly bits and I'm a regular monthly pedi gal!

Sounds like a quality control issue

Website is back, but my Wishlist has vanished. Anyone else? Sad to lose my wee memorial to items which are long gone or only reappear in sales. (Have tried logging out/in again).
