It says deleted, but it was just discussing sizes, sleeve lengths etc.

Yes! Why???

I tried to start another thread to continue our "Hettie jacket" love or sleeves that are too long - not love , but someone lost their mind over it, and this is now just bothersome "why we can't have nice things". It is just a brand. I love their clothes and want to update my wardrobe before they close. But I have liked and disliked their products and let them know in no uncertain terms. They make clothes, I buy them, if I like them great, if not, tell them why and move on.

Meant to add I will cancel and demand a refund if it’s not arrived by end of this week as delivery was quoted as November for the pre-orders. As much as I loved previous C&B collections and enjoy wearing the clothes (I only have a few things so mix and match with other clothes) I’m not prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt if they don’t deliver as promised in November.
Whoever has interfered with getting the previous threads deleted have actually put me off the brand so if it was the company their actions were totally counterproductive to even lovers of the brand like me.

All of the previous threads were civil exchanges about the quality of these products. They offered valuable and helpful information. I thought it was just a troll, but now if indeed it is someone from the company--that is just having the opposite effect.

If you're referring to me, I did not "lose my mind over it". Your new thread sounded like a troll thread and you became confrontational very quickly for no reason at all.

If there are certain products you're interested in, be specific and people might answer you.

this is so bizarre

I don’t think I’ve read one post which isn’t objective and fair

I was mostly interested in @Rosescountrylifecottage s reviews as she really should be their most valued customer. As she seems to be off this conversation, and the rest of the thread has gone bananas...nah, am good (and even worse if it is true what some are saying..ugh).

Hi. I requested MumsNet took down defamatory comments about me personally, our 3 employees’ job security, my husband, my late mother, my family, my company going bankrupt, misleading information about our warehouse and returns process, unfair comments about my private Instagram account. I requested that casually cruel and completely incorrect information that was damaging, upsetting and untrue be removed. I took the time to send screen grabs of these specific posts to MumsNet. These did NOT include product feedback or negative comments about C&R. The person in charge of the thread was contacted and did not bother to respond. Hence MumsNet took down the entire conversations as they stated in their post on this thread. It is a shame that a few people posting like this has caused a wealth of information to be deleted for other people to read. We are 5 employees, 3 of whom are part time. We really don’t have time to be responding or writing to these very strange, conspiratorial threads. We are always grateful for any type of feedback. We are grateful for our customers. As with the majority of small companies we are imperfect. We try our absolute best to design, produce and sell things that we are proud of, they won’t be for everyone. We do not normally follow this website. So if you would like us to answer any questions we are available on info@cabbagesandroses.com. This is a one off post on this platform and we do not engage with social media apart from the company Instagram, Meta and Pinterest accounts. Thank you. Kate.

Streisand effect in full swing here!

I've read all the threads but not contributed as I haven't bought any C&R for a while but I enjoyed the chat.

It's just clothes, innit.

I think the reasons for the deletion are curiously thin-skinned if I'm honest. 99% of posts were informative and to trawl the threads in detail and take issue with a very small number of posts, all of which I think were discussed/challenged in a measured way is alienating to what seem to be loyal customers.

Gossip/speculation is actually not illegal. No harm was done to anyone.

The War of the (Cabbages and) Roses.

I'm in.

Why has the Cabbages and Roses thread gone?
MyPeachBird · 27/11/2024 19:34

At least we know now . I thought it was a troll but not the company. I am surprised.
If a £900 coat has gone astray and the answer isn’t obvious , of course people will be worried. It doesn’t matter whose fault it is. It could be Royal Mail or anyone . Wasn’t it Royal Mail who didn’t hold a delivery signature? Or RM said it had arrived but the refund hadn’t.
I do not recall negative comments about the owners mother or family. Bankruptcy wasn’t really discussed imo. Of course people will wonder what’s happening when a company aren’t being clear about whether clothing will be released again in another form or not . People who have spent money might hope the money is safe under the circumstances that delivery takes a long time. I always thought the money was safe personally.
A number of people discussed returns, most companies have chat online about issues/problems. I like to have a company provide a shipping label which is prepaid .it means customers can relax as long as they have proof of postage.
I think they should be happy they can command such sums for clothes in today’s world.

And I can remember who by.

The sock puppeting is something else, someone here should open a Punch and Judy stand.

Agree it’s ridiculous, I thought mumsnet had disabled being able to name change mid thread, seems it’s still alive and well.

TheLeadbetterLife · 27/11/2024 20:31

I suppose if you log in with a different email address—that's the way to do it!—though it's an awful lot of effort to go to (especially if you're not then going to bother disguising your writing style). Well, it's entertaining!

JaneJeffer · 27/11/2024 20:34

Why do I always miss the interesting stuff? 😕

Flapearedknave · 27/11/2024 22:51

Bonkers Mumsnet threads are always found in the wildest of places 😂

Croissantcoffee · 28/11/2024 07:40

Frankly ridiculous and thin skinned.

Toast has some nice cord dresses, just sayin

Croissantcoffee · 28/11/2024 08:50

I am not sure which thread is best for this. I returned an order which was largely paid for in points yet they haven’t refunded the points . They have refunded the cash part. Has anyone else experienced this ?.

MyPeachBird · 28/11/2024 13:12

What a pity that the lightheartedness has gone from the cabbages and roses threads. Seems to of spoilt the conversation and camaraderie.

Croissantcoffee · 28/11/2024 15:26

maybe . there are deliveries now/start of next week.

I was looking for old threads here only to find that everything got deleted.
