Struck by this ad that appeared on FB this morning and not in a good way 😂

I love a bit of Westwood. The makeup is a bit much for me, but we all have different styles!

One of my favourite things in the world is a Vivienne Westwood cardi I nabbed in the flannels sale! I think she looks great.

wouldn’t the world be so much nicer if women didn’t unceremoniously take the piss out of other women they don’t know. It screams school bully who never grew up or made anything of their life.

That feels quite bitchy op. Paying a fortune to look like what exactly? A middle aged woman happy in herself? Women on women judgy /bitchy isn’t ok. Just move on and try to control your less charitable thoughts. And don’t share them hoping other women will join you.

i like the clothes, the cardigan, lovely colours. Her make up isn’t to my taste but who cares, her face her choice.

Vivienne Westwood is dead! She passed nearly two years ago, aged 81, I didn't look at the goods on sale, dread to think what they are. There's so much rubbish advertised for sale on facebook, including wonder medications for every ailment and sleep. I just scroll by. I haven't seen that advert before but it would have frightened me :).

Lets vote to have her ad removed from sm and replaced with a willowy and pouty looking 18 year old so the clothes appeal to the younger generation because god forbid us over 50's should want to step out in such an outfit.

I'm really surprised at the reactions here. This looks nothing like a Vivienne Westwood advert just from the photograph quality and its composition. The campaigns are typically very high definition photographs with clear lines that show off the shape of the clothes. This is a bit blurry and looks like an amateur shot taking at a bonfire or Christmas market. By comparison the Spring 24 ad campaign featured Naomi Campbell.

So I definitely think that's most likely a fake advert. Even if I'm wrong, it's a terrible ad - the photo is poor quality, the composition is messy, the model clearly looks like a man in drag - which maybe the point @isitsnowingyett an it lacks the clear lines and clarity of showing off the clothes which VW adverts normally have.

And this answer as anticipated too. In other words "I'm a mean bitch who thought everyone would agree with me; I didn't get the response I wanted so I'll make out I was expecting it all along".

I think she looks great! I love the outfit and the colours and as pp have said, it's nice to see a person not 17 and a size 0, with ironed hair and a filled face.

I love the outfit. I'm probably about the same age as her, and I'd happily wear that. Not the most flattering photo cos her eyes look a bit closed.

My first impression of the picture posted by the op (which I cannot find on fb, just looked), was that it was something to do with Halloween :-). Vivienne Westwood adverts are classier than that.

Also, I wouldn't trust anything from Facebook, so I've no idea if it's genuine or what the agenda is.

She looks like a drag queen in an awful cardy. I’m 57 so probably the target market, but I’d feel like a pantomime dame dressed like that!
