We still have 2 months to go so there's still time for dilemmas, decisions and discounts.

We have a few coming out this week including John Lewis, OK and No7. I'm still WAC (without advent calendar) but that may soon change!

I’m hopeful that we will get them 🤞

I have the Look Fantastic advent in my shopping basket but don’t intend on buying it, I’m just watching the price.

I see there’s a free Elemis set (gift with purchase) with it now, might be a glitch though

The Penhaligon's advent 2023 is stunning. I have had good few advents, but the presentation for this is another level.

@MiaN It's lovely, isn't it! I think it's the nicest looking calendar I've had, and I'm looking forward to December. It's sitting in my bedroom - it's too nice to put away 😆

It definitely meets my preference for a Christmas themed calendar!

Thread 4 and we've only just hit October!
I'm still undecided. I was possibly spoiled by the vogue last year, it was such a clear front runner. It was instant attraction with the design and it had the full contents listed, i knew i would regret it if i didnt get it. Nothing this year has the same appeal.
H&B would be practical and I do like the John Lewis offering but I feel it's slightly overpriced. I've just had an email from justmylook which shows the full contents in a picture but it's not enough information and that's off putting.
I feel hard to please this year. I'm happy to splurge, I thought I'd be jumping for the vogue again but nothing is hitting the mark.

Oh good spot! I'm tempted but wondering if it's a glitch.

I'm also feeling meh about the mid priced calendar offering this year 😫

Got the Boots email this morning and had been thinking about going for the premium one but I'm not bothered about the new No 7 range and there seems to be a lot of lip gloss iirc?! I wonder why there's a huge price difference between the 2 calendars? The £60 one doesn't look particularly exciting (to me)

Will be buying my usual M&S unless they ramp up the price/spend required for it!

@virgocatlover I wonder if they would have to honour the order? Or would they say it’s an error?

I bought space nk yesterday when it reappeared. Looked again at CB and Liberty when I thought it was sold out and neither are great for me so was very pleased when it reappeared!

Hope the dispatch is quicker from now on!

The elemis set could be a glitch and it's 50/50 whether they will honour it. It does get added automatically so they can't blame the customer. I guess it depends if the glitch was intentional.

I recall Space NK and CB doing the same last year with regular restocks to drum up interest.

Re the OK AC, I don’t know if it’s just me but when there’s a ‘collab’ or person’s name on an AC, it really puts me off. I don’t know who they are and I don’t think I like anyone enough to buy something because they’re associated with it. Expect maybe my cat.

I’m yet to get excited by any of the offerings.

I was all set to order the OK one but then looked at the products again and decided it's too make up heavy. Maybe I'm just easy to please! I think I will go for JL and then see what discounts come up

I quite like the OK calendar. It's got some different products in it than other calendars. Not going to buy it unless it gets discounted later in the year because frankly I've bought enough!

I don't think such a thing exists. I posted on the last thread about an ASOS one that looked perfect...before realising it was an old link and last year's stock.
I can't find anything for DS (17). As you said, lots of the grooming ones look too old (he's barely shaving yet, so no need for lots of shaving paraphernalia and defo no need for beard products!) or too much basic skincare, like the Nivea one.
Even the Perfume Society seem to have stopped doing men's discovery boxes.
I think he'll be getting a chocolate calendar and I'll just put some fragrance samples and other bits in his stocking.

@itsnothingoriginal I wondered about the cross-over market between future renew and two lip glosses too...I got up to 6 DoDs on the pricier No7 and figured out the future renew stuff I'm really after often comes in sets or reductions all year and gave up.

Boots may be eating their own market here as they run so many No7 promos and gwps this quarter of the year.

I had my LF refunded and cancelled last year as I got too good a deal on it and think they went through and cancelled all the orders - something like it let you use a discount it shouldn't have.

Oh no! I ordered once I saw the free gift. It tipped me over the edge! Fingers crossed they honour it.

Looking at the website, it’s categorising the calendar as an Elemis product so it’s a brand gift not a general site one. It’s there on the Elemis brand page so I think you’ll be OK unless it’s a tag no one has noticed yet (entirely possible!).

It's a good gift - fingers crossed - good calendar too! I'm sure what I did last year was not a brand gift
