Beauty advent calendars 2024 #4

We still have 2 months to go so there's still time for dilemmas, decisions and discounts.

We have a few coming out this week including John Lewis, OK and No7. I'm still WAC (without advent calendar) but that may soon change!

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced grooming calendar for a teen boy? The Next one would have been perfect last year but doesn't seem to exist this year. Around £60 ideally.

LF have a grooming calendar for £85 but I still felt it was a bit old for DS (17). I'm using the LF beauty calendar box to build my own for him out of some bits and pieces from the advents I've bought plus a few other bits I'll source.

IIRC, John Lewis will price match themselves within 30 days- maybe someone who’s done it can confirm? That could take you up to Black Friday if you leave it a few days to order.

I just looked it up and the t&c have changed. it seems they only price match within 7 days now, unfortunately.

Place marking. We've only got F&M tea and biscuits so far as a family one.

I may hold out for a GWP instead as nothing is really floating my boat. Too many hair products in Space NK for me.

Place marking. I have Liberty and Space NK so far, got Space NK due to the hype on these threads. It is really good. I was definitely going to get Vogue again but looked so disappointing after last year, I went for Space NK instead.

I’m only interested in perfume calendars this year. I’ve opened Harrods Fragrance as it was for my birthday and I love it. I will probably end up with Space NK and HN fragrance ones 😬 as there are things I want in both.

I’ve got loads of make up and skincare to use up so I may go for Vogue next year once my stash is depleted. I’d like to have Vogue just the once.

I love several of their products, but their ACs seem to be so heavily stocked with mini hand creams that I’m put off them.

The OK Hannah Martin calendar is now available for pre-order for £95, but if you signed up to the waitlist it's down to £90 with a priority discount (check your emails for code)

Lumene and L’Occitane are the only brands I’m interested in now, but too many mini sizes and hand creams in both last year. I have boxes and boxes of stuff from previous advent calendars that will take years to use up . I don’t even want half of them .

I ordered the OK advent last year but not tempted this year as it is more make up heavy.

2 more days until I officially get hold the Harrods calendar for my birthday. Will have to try hard to resist the urge to peek in the boxes before December.

Hi, SpaceNK appeared again this morning, but sold out whilst I was still staring at it, (having yet another internal debate about purchasing!)

Looks like they are releasing a few for sale each morning - perhaps to stagger deliveries or stimulate demand.

I think OK looks really good for that price point. I don't have a discount code as I unsubscribed from their emails last week in a temper because I was so sick of their marketing strategy. The 'leaked' emails from the intern, and then multiple emails a day about a different beauty box. They should just let the product speak for itself. It felt tacky.

Yes passing on both boots too - don't see enough that I can't get on discounts other times in the year, but will reconsider if they run offers.
