Beauty advent calendars 2024 #4

We still have 2 months to go so there's still time for dilemmas, decisions and discounts.

We have a few coming out this week including John Lewis, OK and No7. I'm still WAC (without advent calendar) but that may soon change!

Fingers crossed all those who ordered get their Harrods Fragrance Advent ( what a mad season it has been where even ordering and paying for an advent doesn't guarantee you will get it!) . I was sniffing around mine today although desperately hoping to still hang on until Xmas for official unwrapping and it really is a thing of beauty.
Quite sad as it looks like Elle are not doing an advent this year or at least I haven't seen any evidence they are. I always like their advents and they are usually great value
But with the Harrods Fragrance and Beauty I probably have enough and my bank balance will be pleased

I keep checking the status of the order. Still in review! I really hope they ship it

The SpaceNK calendar has gone from ‘notify me’ online, to ‘no longer stocked online’ and they’ve still got the search in store button disabled.

Looks like it may have really gone for good - unsurprising really, imo it was the best on offer this year.

I’ve given up on the Shiseido - any company that repeatedly ignores my messages to CS, whilst bombarding me with sales emails, doesn’t deserve my money. I am currently trying to delete my new account, but you have to ask them to do it - am not holding my breath for their compliance 🙀

@IlovePond re Shiseido, have you called them? I’ve found they’re better on the phone, but agree that palaver over codes/GWP is annoying and their website is terrible despite lots of spam sales emails!!

I haven’t called them @CocoMascara - although I will if they don’t honour my request to delete my account! I hate having to chase companies up re bad service😼

Oooh some nice reduced gift sets. And they do free click and collect from my local shop which for some reason really surprised me!

I have gone with Fenwick with the free gift and two perfume samples also included.
My Amex had an offer for £25 cash back for a £150 spend and if the cash back tracks will bring it down to £165

@MrsBnow12 - I wonder if the Fenwick GWP is already sold out. No matter how much I put into my basket just now, it wouldn’t add, (and it’s supposed to load automatically). Unless I am doing something wrong, but I can’t think what.

I only ordered an hour ago as when I put the advent calendar into the GWp added automatically and then I was asked to add the perfume samples.

@IlovePond it is still adding it to the basket when you add the advent calendar

Does any one else get excited when ordering from a lovely brand and you see those words "Choose your complimentary free samples "?!

How often that justifies my totally unnecessary spending. "But DH, look at the free things I got! ..."

I've now had a tracking number, so I am increasingly optimistic!

Space NK arrived today, I ordered 30 sept. THRILLED with it! Checked the contents and packed it all away again ready for December!

My French Pharmacy calendar has arrived . Each days offering is in a white cardboard box, each individually tied with a ribbon or bow. Beautifully done and a lovely change from the pull-out drawers 😍

That's beautiful. As a Francophile who loves skincare heavy advent calendars I lay claim to being the first among us to decide which advent calendar they are getting for 2025.

Just focus on that delivery arriving. I'm convinced I am manifesting it!!

@Choux I missed this calendar last year, by dithering, so this year I ordered as soon as it was available 😊. I can see now why it sells out so fast - numbers must be limited given the amount of work that has gone into all that beautiful packaging ❤️
