We still have 2 months to go so there's still time for dilemmas, decisions and discounts.

We have a few coming out this week including John Lewis, OK and No7. I'm still WAC (without advent calendar) but that may soon change!

Sephora seem to have pushed their release date back from end of Oct to mid Nov - what is it with these delayed releases, are they just disorganised or are they predicting more sales if they release at a certain time?

@OvaHere i just called them and they said it doesn’t stack and she can’t modify the order. She was very nice about it though and suggested that I return it and reorder!

I really really don't need the HN Fragrance AC. I have pints of perfume & have some of the scents already, but it's really calling to me. I could really do with going into town & trying the Maison Crivelli scent first.

It's not typical Neroli but it's typical strong Maison Crivelli perfume. I will be giving it to my son, I find it too strong too masculine for me.

I’m interested in which multi brand fragrance advent people rate ? I like the liberty calendar as it’s candle/ fragrance heavy but don’t need the other stuff atm so eyeing up a fragrance one.

not a big fan of anything sweet but other than that, I love trialling them.

Harrods is popular but hard to get
SpaceNK if you like Molecule/Not a perfume Glossier you
Harvey Nichols if you have male you can share it or like masculine leaning perfumes
Fragrance shop/perfume shop if you like designer perfumes and cute mini bottles

The Perfume Shop AC was reduced on Black Friday last year to around £50. It’s one of the last to be released. I got it to share with DS as it had a good variety of perfumes/aftershaves to try or for travel. The box is nice this year, reusable with a mirror in the lid.

It must be a bit of a stock nightmare, as if even one supplier is delayed sending a lipstick/candle/perfume, the whole calendar is held up!

I have dipped my toe in the water and bought the Crabtree and Evelyn one on the Amazon Prime day (£36). It is my first non-chocolate calendar so will be a good tester on this. I need someone to put tape over the back though, as that lists all the products and I want to be surprised :>

Thanks for the information @CocoMascara and @OvaHere - I am annoyed that Shiseido CS have not responded or even acknowledged my email regarding the code not working. I am singularly unimpressed.

By contrast, I began this afternoon furious with Harvey Nichols regarding an order that I had just received, but I emailed and the issue was resolved within an hour, so I have forgiven them!

Hi again, I have logged in, logged out, followed the welcome email, accepted all cookies and messaged Shiseido again, and I still don’t have a working welcome code!

I am surprised at Shiseido, but they clearly don’t want my money!

THe shisheido calendar is only £127 on this site, and includes the same 3 piece gift when you put it in your basket. What am I missing?

@LetsSeeHowFarWeveCome - it’s a European company. I don’t know how it works with import fees/taxes/duty. TP reviews seem pretty good.

Has anyone on here ordered from L’Origines?

Hi again. It’s a French company. Most customers in the UK seem satisfied with it and it’s a real company. Biggest complaints on TP are - goods not being received due to incorrect labelling, (in which case, you get a refund), and items missing, (in which case, customers don’t seem satisfied with the response).

UK customers sometimes get landed with customs and VAT charges on top and they can longer ship samples to the UK, apparently.

I think the customs/tax charges kick in for UK orders £135+. Others will know better than me. Whether L’Origines would add the cost of the GWP to the cost of the a/c for the benefit of customs is unknown.

It won’t let me edit, but I meant My Origines. (I was combining with L’Occitane in my mind 🙈)

I don’t think I would order from them though as they don’t accept PayPal. I would want the extra protection that paying through PP gives customers if I was ordering from a company I was so unfamiliar with.

Having said that, given that £127 is clearly what is being charged for the Shiseido calendar in the EU, I won’t be ordering it now. (Still no acknowledgment of my emails from Shiseido, btw.)

I've had an email from Flannels pushing back the processing date of the fragrance cracker to 18th Oct and delivery estimated to be 7 days later. The delivery date was initially 6th Oct. I wonder if the hold up is a particular product common across several AC and edits? I have my suspicions about which one.

Fenwick AC details are up. It's poor value, but you do get a very good GWP.

The Fenwicks gwp does look good but the advent is such poor value that I am still not tempted

My JL home fragrance calendar arrived today, smaller than I expected but a good weight and it is only 12 days. However, I had a rubbish day at work so I certainly deserve a calendar!

It is a good weight, isn't it?! Reassuringly heavy.

For those who snuck in yesterday and managed to order the Harrods fragrance calendar when it briefly came back into stock, I spoke to customer service and they confirmed mine was processing and preparing for dispatch, so I am hopeful... 🤞🏻
