Beauty advent calendars 2024 #4

We still have 2 months to go so there's still time for dilemmas, decisions and discounts.

We have a few coming out this week including John Lewis, OK and No7. I'm still WAC (without advent calendar) but that may soon change!

I’ve just ordered JL. I’ve only had M and S before, so it’s the most I’ve ever spent on a calendar. Though when I think about the amount of money I spend on beauty products throughout the year, if this stops me getting so much stuff even just for a while it will work out very good value!

When did you order? Mine was dispatched on the same day that I contacted them on social media. I’m not sure if it was a coincidence or not but I don’t think so.

I wouldn’t bother going through customer care ever again.

I hope you get yours soon. I believe you will because at no point did I think it was a stock issue, and they were adamant all orders will be dispatched

Mine finally arrived. The packaging is beautiful. I’m not going to check the drawers, I’ll wait until December

I have got my calendar now but so far have resisted the urge to open all the boxes. It’s early days though!
I am feeling a little envious of you all ordering JL calendars today as that is the calendar I have had for the last 3 years. Need to get a grip, remind myself I don’t need another advent and just be happy with my Harrods calendar. 😄

Hmmm, was originally tempted by JL but don't have any discounts in my rewards. I'm damned if I'm paying full price when others are getting £10 or even 15% off! Don't know what's happening to JL rewards, they used to seem tailored to me but no longer

I am disappointed with my rewards too. I just got £5 off a £70 spend on home bits. Last year I got £20 off the price of the calendar with my rewards discount. Probably for the best though as I might have been swayed into ordering it.
Am very pleased with my lovely Harrods calendar and I got a new bottle of perfume too. 😃

Yes, my rewards include 15% off nursery items - been quite a number of years since I needed that. But I've bought a lot of make-up and skincare from JL including previous years' advents and nothing at all

I also received an email about the Lumene one today. But I already have the H&B one, and have ordered the Bonne Maman one for DH.

I bought the Lumene calendar last year when it was reduced to half price. Unfortunately I was allergic to some of the products, but everything felt really nice on my skin. I think I'll try them again.

I'm quite excited by the Brown Thomas calendar - there is probably more in it that I would use than any other one I've seen this year.

Looks like The body Shop have wheeled out last years -again! Third year in a row now, but I think I remember hearing they are in administration. Might be wrong.
The Brown Thomas looks lovely and if I was in Eire or visiting I would buy it.
JL I also have no money off anything useful. Refuse to buy unless there is a discount.

🙄 I should have read other posts properly. I've just realised Brown Thomas is only available in Ireland. I'm not sure I would have been able to resist it, so at least I'm saving by not being able to buy it 😆

Has anyone looked at the Daylesford Farmshop calendar this year? I don't want to buy a beauty calendar this year as I have SO much unused product at the moment, so am tempted by Daylesford, but is the price crazy? £250 for food bits etc? Or is it lovely? I just can't work it out!!

Glad to hear, you finally got your calender, what social media did you use to get in contact? The contact us on the space nk, is useless, they don't even read or address, your concerns, just a copy & paste reply they send out to everyone.

I ordered on the 12th September,
It's extremely frustrating to see that order made after, had no problems. I just wish that space nk, admit there was a problem with the early orders, and keep you updated.
Tbh I don't think I'm going to get it at this stage. Its been very disappointing checking my online status , to still see "new order"😞

I might take a look at the brown thomas one, that everyone is talking about. I might have better luck with that, since I'm in Ireland

Just ordered the Secret Sales mystery box instead of buying an advent calendar. I might give it to DH unopened to put in my DIY calendar.

I've looked through the JL list, and figured I could buy the items that interest me, for less than the price of the calendar. If I cared to. But they are also mostly products I've tried before and not overly excited. More for others!

Can anyone who has received the Gruum freebie advise me please. I received the calendar but no gift. Keep getting replies from customer services I don't understand about gift vouchers and checking my spam for an e mail!

I got the Lumene half price last year. Everything was miniature size. I didn’t mind as I used lots of the products while travelling but definitely would not have paid full price. Think it was around £45 in December last year
