Does the holy grail of a trouser you can wear jumpers/tops with so that your vpl isn't visible but there's no tightness on the tummy exist?

Hi op, please try this company for the tummy friendliest, softest jeans, several choices i have their super hight waisted ones, amazing! And i bought the jeans they do for abdominal issues... c-section, surgery.... its like a second skin built into the jean...so you never have to worry and soooo comfortable... and i needed comfort!

I have a very tender tummy that has only got worse since I've increased in rotundity and entered perimenopause!

I found beyond 9 actually quite tight elastic and I had such high hopes. I pulled them up, went nope, and started the return process immediately.

I spend too much time searching for a soft waistband in trousers and pyjamas. For spring/summer, h&m linen joggers were excellent this year, for autumn winter, my current faves are isle cord trousers (Edinburgh wool mill but all off vinted) and for jeans, dunnes frayed hem jeans are very forgiving but still with some shape. Got those off Ebay, v happy with them.

M&S harper jeans are so lovely and stretchy on the waist and an old fave is the benetton velvet chinos (actually cord again: can you see a theme) are really nice and smart and I promoted a year back when someone was asking about halara.

So I'm following this thread with much interest!

What's the sizing like on the Asda denim joggers please @CalliopePlantain? I really like them, but there aren't any reviews.

I love harem pants from Forgotten tribes and have them in plain and patterned colours. Very comfy, Material quite thin though, which suits me perfectly as I'm menopausal 🤣 but might be too thin for some

I know they're very divisive on Mumsnet, but I love Magic Trousers (not the cheapy ones) - they come in two sizes, one size (up to a 16) or XL (14-20). I buy the bigger ones, I'm a 14, for a looser fit. They are my most comfortable trousers, even the leather look version.

RampantIvy · 07/10/2024 10:26

I find the magic trousers just aren't long enough for me. I don't want to wear halfway up my calf ankle grazer trousers at this time of year.

They are very comfortable though.

@Rina66 I have heard a lot about magic trousers, where do you get yours from please?

Rina66 · 07/10/2024 12:17

@superstar63 I get mine at a local boutique to me, they are online also a- they are the the Made In Italy ones, I like them because they're a sturdier fabric, have 3% elastane in them and have a back seam/yoke which gives them a better shape, I'll post some pictures

Rina66 · 07/10/2024 12:23

Pictures of my Made in Italy magic trousers, mine are £25, there are lots of cheap versions, they're too thin and shapeless.

I’ve bought some lovely trousers from Zara! Also, depending on your style, cargo pants.

Ive got the next flared jeggings mentioned earlier and can confirm they are soooooo comfortable, but also a bit thicker and smarter than your average legging. Love them!
