I hope Harrods throw in some soothing calm sprays and relax products as I think we will all need them after this experience.

@Debtfreeme I actually like Liberty having looked again. Just enough makeup for me. I initially discounted it straight away because of the 9ml of AA bath oil - I still think that's too stingy for a calendar of this price.

@swiftyscakes beauty detective, beautyadventcalendar.net and really Ree are your best bets. But there's still quite a bit of research and work involved, there aren't really any shortcuts.

Does anyone know when space nk goes on sale? I see they have a GWP which would be brilliant if it worked with the advent x

After dithering about getting Liberty or not I have just ordered it. It only cost me £1 as I had £259 in credit. I think I would have regretted not getting it as the calendar was the reason I joined the Beauty Drop.

So that’s me done! I might even keep it until next year as I have so much stuff to use up as it is.

Although realistically that’s unlikely really!

I’m pretty sure the timing of the SpaceNK GWP is very deliberate - to coincide with the CB advent calendar launch but be over by the time the SpaceNK advent goes on sale.

The T&Cs for the Space NK Everyday Icons GWP says it ends on 7th September so if you want it it’ll have to be before AC released on 12th. It is a really good GWP, I think in later years I’ll fill up my Liberty AC box with the winter GWP and beauty kits. CB, Liberty and Space NK do very good ones for the holiday season.

I'm leaning towards the SpaceNK one, I think. I've never had one from there before - I think I got LF last year.

Does the SpaceNK calendar sell out quickly? Does the price ever drop?

I've been following these threads for a couple of years now.

My 1st ac was the lf one 5 years ago after I was gifted the m& s the year before!

It felt very extravagant to be spending money on me, and I haven't had one since.

I panic ordered the lf last night!

I really want the space nk, but after a nasty comment on here the other day from a troll, it made me feel doubt myself with how much it costs.

I love Rituals, too, but the bracelet thing has put me off!

I was on hold for 1 hour and 45 minutes and they cut me off!
I hate Harrods at the moment!

OMG I have been on hold for over an hour now for Harrods🤬 and still no one has picked up. At this rate I could have got on a train and gone and picked the advent up myself quicker (and I live in the midlands!)
I cannot believe the hoops Harrods have made up jump through for this advent and If I have to listen to that music one more time. It’s the same piece over and over again. I think I may go mad from it

The phone line issue has confirmed it for me, I’m going to wait and go for HN fragrance. There’s more in it that I already know too. If I don’t manage to get it I’ve still got the Flannels fragrance cracker on the way.

The status of my Harrods Fragrance calendar has changed from 'Reviewing order' to 'Processing order'. I hope this means that it will be shipped asap.

Oh wow those wait times are truly awful!
When I spoke to someone all they did was send me a link to pay which could have been done without having to call up and wait silly times!

Oh no don’t let the trolls put you off from joining the fun (caveat if you can afford it). We’ve all got real lives with health issues, stress, caring responsibilities and some of us come here to escape through froth and floss, and some come here to escape by peeing on the froth and floss of others - ignore the latter and report their posts! I decided to get my first ever beauty AC specifically to join in on these threads and the opening threads in December this year.

I have finally completed my Harrods endurance test the reward being possibly an advent at the end of it. After 1hour 48 minutes on the phone in total I have now paid and will possibly receive an advent in the near future.Although,I do recognise there are still a few more steps that could go wrong

@thetimeisnow Ah, I'm sorry that happened to you. It takes a special kind of unpleasantness to be horrible to someone simply wanting a little bit of fun at Christmastime with some nice products. I hope it hasn't put you off and you give yourself a wee treat. It was enjoying all the advent calendar fun that got me into the Style & Beauty board, as a mid-50s frump.

As for me, I find I get all panicky and want to buy aaaaaaaaaaall the advent calendars. And then I don't want to use any of the products because the wee bottles and tubes and products are so adorable. I'm like a dragon guarding my hoard. Maybe if I put on some lotion I wouldn't have the scaly skin of a dragon!! (kidding, I'm actually very soft. 😁)
