I’m really bad at knowing when the best deals are on. Is there a good way of finding out what’s happening?

I got a good full size Elemis set from QCV in November last year, £55.
Also got a set from Boots around September/October for approx £45 but that had a mix of full size and smaller sizes.

I think the good deals for Elemis emerge around Black Friday

That's good to know - I would be really tempted by this one, as already have way too much skincare and make-up from previous years!

I got that deal too. But a friend told me about it. I don’t know if there’s a way to get alerts on brands?

If that's the Boots beauty box I'm thinking of, it was fab and contained a 100ml tub of Elemis Pro-Collagen cleansing balm.

I bought a huge wreath for my front door from Balsam Hill last year, as well as a garland for the stair banister. My neighbour was insanely envious because the wreath looked so good and I got into trouble with her husband as she was harping on about how she wanted one too 😀I’m wondering now when I can justify hanging it up again - possibly November on the basis it’s seasonal rather than Christmassy? I would really like a tree too (but got the Space NK AC instead!) Fingers crossed you get your calendar too!

I think you may have misread that. It's those of us outside the UK who will be hit with the brexit tax.

After excitedly waiting for the postman to come this morning with my Space NK calendar, I have unboxed it with my 11 year old daughter who is very impressed with mummy's new hobby and let's just say it did not disappoint. This is the best so far and I've had harrods liberty and next to compare it to.

It's low on fragrance so maybe not one if you are a fragrance lover although I am hoping they do a 12 days of fragrance box again like last year so that may be why. Aside from that, loads of great skincare from the top brands. Not too many serums - seems fairly balanced between cleanser/moisturiser/serum etc and also has a sunday riley facial oil in there.

Good mix of makeup including charlotte tilbury, rare beauty, lisa eldridge

My only complaint is there a couple of high suncreen type things which isn't very autumnal - I guess they are thinking people will save them up to use in summer. I don't really need high SPF in this country as I have naturally dark skin so will probably save those for my very pale skinned hubby.

Unexpected treat the space NK nordic body wash which smells divine and will be making its way to the bathroom shelf immediately

All in all a massive improvement on previous years and if I'm honest the best advent calendar I've ever seen

Oh @OchonAgusOchonOh - thanks for this. I hope you are right - I am sure you are. My sister freaked me out this morning by saying that there are extra charges for UK customers with Escentials and I was horrified at the prospect of costing everyone extra money.

@IDontHateRainbows funnily enough one of my complaints with the Space NK is that one of the SPFs is only factor 30. I use factor 50 most of the year (pale skin, retinol/AHA user). Just goes to show you'll never please everyone.

@IlovePond When you posted first I went off to check it out and spotted the brexit tax as I always check that these days.
