With just under 3 months to go until 1 December, there are some big decisions to be made! Thread to discuss advent calendars while we wait for more content revelations and release dates.

Did anyone else get the Harrods beauty advent delivered yesterday?
DH ordered it for my birthday next month but allowed me to open the parcel when it came and have a quick peek. It is the first time I have had a Harrods advent and I am loving the box. 😃

I subscribed to the monthly LF beauty boxes in August.

When in the month do they send them out?

I had my September one yesterday, but didn’t get Augusts until half way through the month so it’s a bit random!

Cult Beauty advents are now on sale. As expected, the scent with love version is just a minor variation of the standard one - and the only scents added are a 10ml perfume and a 1.5ml sample. So a bit odd given the hype they tried to create around it.

You also get a £20 voucher with the purchase, so cost is not bad when compared with the £250 calendars elsewhere.

Yeah agree @MonkeyTennis34 there's no set date that I can think of.

Just seen it . With the £20 voucher it is priced pretty well plus you will get £10 worth of points and it has the EGF serum in it. Not for me though as full of makeup and masks

I was considering the CB one but I've just looked at the full reveal in their site and day 25 is full of products I absolutely will not use, so it's a definite no from me for that. Tempted now by Harrods as it is showing as in stock but I think I'll save my money and wait for spacenk and be happy with that and the flannels beauty cracker.

CB is disappointing, as expected. They'd have been better just releasing the contents when they were 'leaked', as it looks like the list was more or less accurate. The only way it would be worth it IMO is if you already use the EGF serum and would be buying that full price anyway. A 30g candle fgs. What are the hair clips all about too? There are 40 items in this, I feel like it would have been more tempting with 39 and no hair clips. Actually I prefer just 25 decent sized items. The wristbands are okay, better than what I visualised, but I got loads of them from Amazon for a few quid.

Yes, I’ve received mine, did look at refusing it due to the perfume debacle but got over the big sulk 😁
I’ve checked each drawer and there is something in everything, I didn’t want to look so fingers crossed it’s all ok. I’ve popped it away until December.

I've gone for CB as I had £50 in credit. Plus an extra £10 in points for buying it and the £20 voucher. I'll give the wristbands to DD as a stocking filler!

I keep arguing with myself about whether to try the Harrod’s phone line after 10 or just save the money that’s (finally) been refunded. The fiasco has definitely taken the shine off of it.

What’s people’s thoughts on liberty contents? Bit too much make up for me? Torn as I have £260 in vouchers

Since you can pay for the whole thing in vouchers I’d just go for it! Especially if you aren’t likely to want to spend the vouchers on anything else.

Can anyone share the Harrods number to call? Or is it normal customer services? I have not received an email yet....

I got it in pre-order. 3 DoDs for me, the candles and pillow mist. I liked the skincare that was in it, Sunday Riley 30ml (a lot of the other calendars have it “full size” when 15ml), MZ eye cream worth £140, lots of nice smelling perfume. Some people put off by the four acids, but I’ll use them up over a year. They released the contents to BD members in June so there’s a lot of discussion over there on those threads.

@QueefofSheena I was the same last night but I think I will still reorder I had the plan to open a perfume a month from January and I am still excited about this idea and ultimately the value is still there for me so I think I would just be punishing myself if I didn’t get it. It also helps that there is nothing else I love advent wise to replace it

The phone lines for Harrods are basically cutting you off after the first bit…so it’s going to be more stress! 🙄 Not sure if that’s just me..

I guess the lines are just overwhelmed I am going to hang on for half an hour and try again. They need our order number so our orders should be ok stock wise

I've been following this thread and the previous one - but I am sadly v short on time (as well as being ever so slightly lazy!). Does anyone know where I might find some kind of spreadsheet listing the contents of all the major calendars so that I can scan it easily and see which appeals most? I've googled but nothing came up! Otherwise I'm going to have to dedicate my lunch hours this week to trawling through all the sites! 😅
