With just under 3 months to go until 1 December, there are some big decisions to be made! Thread to discuss advent calendars while we wait for more content revelations and release dates.

I'll be contacting spacenk about the delivery charge as not happy about that.

I've just ordered Space NK too. There was no delivery charge.

Have emailed Space NK re delivery charge as couldn't be bothered to wait in a queue. I cheekily mentioned that website says premium delivery over £75 so would it be possible to upgrade to premium. Probably they'll say no but worth a try. Means it would land on Saturday.

F&M charge about £6 for delivery and their calendar is more expensive!

I have had issues with space adding delivery charge previously, on the vitamin c lovers beauty box earlier this year. That was supposed to be free next day delivery which they charged for, but refunded when I complained.

I've ordered Space NK! Had £5 of Ndulge points so that's how I justified it... No delivery charge for me either, sorry.

I actually like a browny lipstick, so wouldn't have minded even if it was less 'wearable'.

Eek. Just had an email from Space NK saying my order (Advent Calendar) is out of stock and will dispatch once it's available. I hope this is just standard?

For those waiting on Boots, Beauty Detective has put the details on Instagram and looks like you can order from today.
i was planning on getting this but now on the fence after seeing the contents.

Mine doesn’t say out of stock, it does say it’s a pre-order and will dispatch when available (13th September)?

They must have stocked enough that they don't run out within hours of day one - particularly as this is not their first rodeo, advent calendar wise.

Space NK usually do multiple drops of their calendar. They may simply have sold out of the first drop, which might mean that it takes a little longer to dispatch. I'm sure that you'll still get one, they always have loads, and it's usually in stock for a couple of months at least.

I do think that is the best calendar this year by a long shot though - and the email said that it's their biggest ever waitlist - so I wouldn't advice waiting weeks before ordering for anyone who really wants it.

I hope so as this one isnt tempting me, if that one doesn’t either I will keep my pennies for the Christmas Edits/Beauty Boxes instead

Had a response to the delivery charge thing- they are aware it's a glitch and once it's been despatched I can contact them for a refund. Bit annoying they can't just sort the refund now! And seems they aren't offering premier delivery on the advent calendars at all - so I hope it comes quickly!

I noticed that the dispatch date for my Space NK calendar is 13th Sept, but the dispatch date on the website is now saying 17th, so that's probably all it is @Theresalotgoingon

Someone somewhere is probably very busy making up more calendars!

I have the SpaceNK a/c in my basket, but can’t quite bring myself to do it. I haven’t ordered from there before, but my first purchase code doesn’t work for the a/c, (unsurprisingly).

I would be so annoyed if I bought it, then there was a better deal later on. Am I right that this is what happened last year- there was a GWP later on?

I have FOMO but it’s not exactly the end of the world if it sells out…

Yes, this is always a risk. It was reduced by 15% once a few years ago, too. But then you risk it being sold out if you wait, so it’s up to you to decide.

I’m actually fine about not getting a GWP, I will seriously have enough of everything and hate clutter.
It does sting a bit when you see them reduced at a later date though!

It’s obviously hard to predict these things, but my view is that this year’s SpaceNK is really good in a year when others - CB, Selfridges etc - are a bit disappointing. So it is pretty unlikely it will get discounted, or qualify for a GWP, unless they have huge stock.That said, the Harrods Beauty Advent is also really good this year and has been on sale now for a while without selling out.

Not last year, no. But last year it was really good. It has happened in previous years though. I think in 2022 I got it for around £160 on Black Friday.

It just depends on how good/popular it is in any given year
