I have a drawer full of products! I love it.
I’ve separated them into categories so when I run out I can choose more easily. It also stops me (in theory) buying products I already have.
I try the fragrances and give away ones that don’t suit. If I try a product and it doesn’t agree with my skin, I also pass it on. You can be generous when you have a beauty stash drawer 😂

HellsBells67 · 18/01/2024 15:44

I open everything immediately and discard the ones I won't use into a pile for a schoolgirl my friend mentors. I have a real dislike of preserving piles off things. Think it stems from seeing my gran's 'best' china etc never used.

CanImakethisbetter · 18/01/2024 16:32

I have drawer with spares in. One side is things I want to use. I just have something similar on the go. The other side is for my dd to dip into. She is a uni student so I tend to buy her skin care, toiletries etc.

I have actually signed her up to liberty as well. I am paying though. Although she has asked for one of the liberty calendar this Christmas. So I am viewing it as a savings plan 😂

supadupapupascupa · 18/01/2024 18:18

I'm whole other level haha
After three years of calendars and gwps I organised my stash by type in separate boxes and bags. And logged everything in a spreadsheet so that when I run out of something I can use the oldest in the category first. When I finish something I put notes on the file also to help knowing what repurchase.
When I discover something doesn't work for me (ie retinol) I go through and get rid either donating to family friends or selling

Cyclingmummy1 · 18/01/2024 18:22

@listsandbudgets yes! Doesn't everyone do this? I sort through my fabric as well 😆

deepsea9 · 18/01/2024 18:24

@supadupapupascupa same! I have quite a few of the Liberty wash bags so I have one for cleansers and suncreams, one for serums, one for moisturisers, one for body and one for hair. Plus a massive box under my bed for the full size products.

I have a spreadsheet as well, but only for repurchasing by category so if I really like something I can remember what it is (and in the event I ever run out of anything!)

I can only dream of this level of organisation!

Got back from holiday at midnight last night (30 hour journey, urgh) and mine was waiting for me on the porch. No email this time though, which is unusual. I've just opened it and I'm pretty pleased on first impressions, especially with the perfume sample.

Those of you who've tried the cleanser before - is it suitable for removing eye make-up? I'm needing a new cleanser that is suitable for eyes (got loads that isn't, I just don't use it up that quickly) so I really hope this one is ok for eyes.

dullandgrey · 18/01/2024 23:48

Have had a difficult week and just returned home to find the box of waiting for me at home which has cheered me up somewhat. I really like the perfume sample which is very suprising to me. Cleanser is useful and will get used, eye mask is fine I guess, hair pomade is useless for me really but very interesting to hear a pp has repurposed it as foot cream Grin and the sample of the votary is abit pointless really. I'm also a bit gutted to get the spruce hand cream as the smell is really strange but I'll use it up by keeping it in my handbag. Not as great as the last box but really feels like a treat still, so I'm happy.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 19/01/2024 02:35

I don't open anything that already has a seal on it - like the handcream I haven't opened that.

Peridot1 · 19/01/2024 08:33

@SwordBilledHummingbird - I think the cleanser is more a second cleanse from what another poster said. So probably not one for taking your eye makeup off. I always use a separate eye makeup remover even if using a balm or an oil. Currently using Body Shop Chamomile make up remover which is good. Otherwise I just use Nivea or Simple.

Hoping my box comes today!! Does anyone know if they've been sent through Royal Mail?

Peridot1 · 19/01/2024 08:54

@Beepboops mine was delivered by Yodel.

OK, I had a look through my beauty stash last night and the things that I am actually missing are an eye cream and a vit C serum. I haven't actually used Vit C before, apart from samples, but it's something I've considered adding to my beauty routine for ages.

Any recommendations of products I can get from Liberty with my credit?

So not at all what you were asking for but I have both types of products that I love, just neither are from liberty.

Vitamin c serums are the trickiest as most aren't stable. I have used two ordinary products that I like; the 30pc in silicone and the powder that I mix with my moisturiser (brightens my skin but it does smell a little of self tanner). You can read about them here and although the brand is cheap I prefer quite a lot of their products to the luxury brands. https://theordinary.com/en-us/skincare-guides/vitamin-c-guide.html

And then for an eye cream I was recommended one from a poster on this thread (sorry I can't remember who!). It's this filorga one, bought a little travel size along with another recommended by a friend. This one's perfect and definitely the winner. It's has helped plump out the crow's feet and lasted ages for the size of the tube. https://www.filorga.co.uk/filorga-time-filler-eyes-5xp-anti-wrinkle-eye-cream-15ml/14265245.html

I love the smell of the hair pomade, just put a bit through my ends

I tried it last night anyway and it was fine on my eyes - no stinging and took my mascara off beautifully :) I like cleansers that are multi-functional, I do use a toner at night to remove any last traces of make-up but I don't have the time/energy/patience for eye-make-up remover, followed by not one but two cleansers and then toner!

Peridot1 · 19/01/2024 11:59

@SwordBilledHummingbird - glad it worked for the eyes. I don’t tend to use toner after double cleansing as I figure that’s what the second cleanse is for!

What is GWPS, I think I’m missing out.

Gift with purchase.

Unlike the beauty kits, where you can buy £xxx worth of product for £xx, GWPs are free when you spend £xxx 😄

Helenloveschat · 20/01/2024 12:46

Hope it's ok to join you all -have finally cracked and joined the Beauty Drop party! Thanks to whoever suggested the pomade as a leave in conditioner -I decided to go a little further and use tiny amount as an overnight treatment on my medium (neither coarse nor fine) hair -not curly but a tiny bit of wave in it. Anyhoo...it has worked and is a bit like the Philip Kingsley elasticizer so I thought I'd share that potential use :)

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 20/01/2024 17:25

@Helenloveschat Welcome and thanks for the hair pomade overnight tip. I was wondering how to use it
