I like patchouli! I’d rather have that than two tubes of Spruce.

Question for the experts: what is their usual GWP schedule? I really loved the Votary super seed cream, but I’d only buy it if a GWP would make the £££ worthwhile.

periodiclabel · 17/01/2024 15:21

GWP is always one in September and another in about ... March, I'm guessing?

If I've only just joined at the beginning of January will I get the box this month? Or will I just get 3 this year?

I joined in December and got the October box! I wasn't expecting it.

Hopefully you'll get this one.

I like this box. I love foaming cleansers so looking forward to trying this. The perfume is lovely and not too big as I'm feeling a bit swamped with perfume after the AC. The Votary cream is nice (and has been used in one application!) but receiving 1gr is a lot of packaging for a minuscule amount of product. I think I'd rather not have got it thinking of all that packaging going in landfill.

TheSandHurtsMyFeelings · 17/01/2024 17:19

The perfume is lovely; I adore a spicy patchouli rose so it's right up my street. @periodiclabel it won't go off if you keep it somewhere cool and dark.

Very very tempted to try the other Liberty scents now.

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 17/01/2024 17:30

I like the perfume but the spruce hand cream smells a big antiseptic to me

viques · 17/01/2024 17:36

Haven’t had an email, or a box. Feeling very miffed. 😢

WeAreBorg · 17/01/2024 17:37

Have the box, I like it!
I also found a box from a while back that I must have forgotten about so have two lots of excitement

Grapefruit hand cream, think I had some kind of lemon one last time?

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 17/01/2024 17:38

Did not get an e mail this time. I have whatsapp'ed Liberty in the past over a missing box and they were very prompt and helpful

HundredMilesAnHour · 17/01/2024 18:03

My box finally arrived this evening. Hurray! Was starting to get a bit worried, especially with no email so impossible to check tracking and find out if it's on the way or not. Relieved now.

Lightenuppeople · 17/01/2024 18:09

It’s a lovely treat to have in January, I miss the AC.
I got the Spruce hand cream, I don’t love the smell, so I’m putting it on before bed. Love the perfume. Have added the eye mask to the collection in my drawer (must try to use more frequently!) like a foam cleanser so happy with that.
After getting the beauty box last year and the AC for 3 years I’ve got quite a stash of stuff now. I must try and use it all more. 🫣

I think the GWP was in May last year. I gotbit and as absolutely thrilled it it. It had so many good products. I have £200 of credit now so I might wait until they announce one.

Prawncow · 17/01/2024 18:22

The hand cream is just odd. I really like hand creams and I use them frequently. Why would you want one that smells of Christmas trees!?! It also made my skin itchy. Everything else was good. I like the perfume enough to consider buying it.

Cyclingmummy1 · 17/01/2024 19:51

It's interesting to read the different reactions. I liked the car freshener and I absolutely love an eye mask. But perfume leaves me cold (and sneezy 😆).

WeAreBorg · 17/01/2024 20:39

Have just tried the perfume - one of my favourite trial ones I think, very lovely

petitebleu · 17/01/2024 21:37

Love the perfume but hate the Spruce hand cream. I find the L:A Bruket stuff all smells a bit odd - from my huge sample size of two products so far!

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 17/01/2024 23:26

I'm disinclined to complain, it's all potentially interesting when the boxes turn up -- but I agree with you about the L:A Bruket smells, @petitebleu.

Not opened my box yet although it arrived today!

EasterIssland · 17/01/2024 23:50

Is there a link or pic to see what is in the box ? Thanks!

Well goodness gracious me, and other ladylike expletives. Just been out to sort out the bins( blimey it’s cold!) and tucked behind the bin waiting for the bin men tomorrow, is my beauty box.

no email, no delivery confirmation, no note through the door to say it was there. Just a mysteriously manifested box.

Thehamsterthatcametotea · 18/01/2024 11:53

Jellycats4life · 17/01/2024 09:50

Excuse my ignorance but with double cleansing could you use the new cleanser and another? If so what kind? A cream cleanser?

@Thehamsterthatcametotea I love double cleansing! The rule is, something oily to really dissolve make up/SPF (a cleansing oil, balm or cream), remove with warm water, followed by something gel based/foamy to remove any residue.

So the Dermalogica would be perfect for the second step.

Thank you! I’ll look to see what I’ve got. I’ve been using the REN cleansing milk but have a few others in the stash.

Peridot1 · 18/01/2024 12:23

Thanks for the new thread @Housewife2010.

So many different reactions to everything.

I think a couple of people on the other thread mentioned being afraid to try a resurfacing product from a previous box? I use things like that on my upper arms and elbows or my feet if I think it’s too much for my face.

listsandbudgets · 18/01/2024 13:15

It sounds like most of you open all the products immediately. I've not been doing that as I have so much open already that I want to run things down a bit before opening yet more stuff.

Does anyone admit to being like me - keeping stuff in boxes and occasionally taking things out to fiddle with like a kid with a pile of toys. I quite like the anticipation of waiting to open it.

I'm reading about you all squirting and spritzing and smelling and wondering if I should bring it all forward. That said I couldn't resist starting the hair cream which is absolutely brilliant on my fine flyway hair. I'm justifying it to myself by the fact I don't have any in my stash at all so it's not superseding something that should be used first

Peridot1 · 18/01/2024 13:19

I don’t tend to open things straight away either @listsandbudgets. I did spritz the perfume to try but that’s it. I add things to my stash. Have two actually - one of full size products and one of travel sizes/samples.

One of my favourite bits of getting sorted to go away is sorting out what toiletries/skincare to take. DH thinks I’m sad! I’m going to Australia next month so will pack a main toiletries bag and a hand luggage one.

Imnotadentist · 18/01/2024 14:16

I don’t open them straight away either. It’s still all sitting in the box it came in so I can enjoy looking through them all again.
Thanks @Peridot1 I will use up resurfacing serum on arms and legs where I’m certain it can do no harm.

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 18/01/2024 14:18

Absolutely, I do this! And the travel skincare planning thing.

FlipperSkipper · 18/01/2024 14:33

No email or box yet either. I don’t get any emails from them, even though I’m opted in. They were very good when the mirror in the last box was smashed though and sent a new box out promptly.
